I frowned again and sighed. "Fine," I muttered. "But if your best freind was going to Askaban you would like to talk to them," I turned back to Lyssa. "I'll miss you heaps," I said softly giving her an awkward hug as she was still stuck in the chair. "Love you," I walked over to the chairs on the side and sat on the backrest my feet on the cushin.

"Miss you too," I whispered as she hugged me, wishing I could hug her back. I blinked, pushing back tears. I wasn't going to cry again.

I winced at the dementor, I didn't really want to produce a patronus cause the ministy would think I was up to something, I tried to think of something happy but it's not exactly easier when your best friend is going to spend the rest of her life in Askaban. I jumped at the sound of metal clinking.

I took a deep breath, realizing that I was shaking, the reality of how close to getting taken away to Azkaban I was getting coming forward to the front of my mind. I closed my eyes and bit my lip, now more scared than I had ever been in my life. I had never felt so helpless and hopeless either. It wasn't a nice feeling.

I frowned again, I felt helpless as I couldn't do anything. I had tried but it hadn't worked. I shuddered at the dementors again feeling slightly lightheaded. I had never liked dementors and when they had been around the school in third year I only went into Hogsmead once for that reason.

I kept my eyes close, blocking out everything, trying to calm myself down so I wouldn't completely freak out or anything. I really didn't want to do this. I hadn't thought it would ever....A silent tears ran down my cheek.

I shivered at the dementors I really didnt like them...but then I only had to endure them for about ten more minutes Lyssa on the otherhand...I frowned again and bit my lip. Why couldn't the ministy see what they were doing was wrong? Where was Dumbledore when we needed him...? I scanned the Wizengemont making a face when I saw Percy and scowling at Umbridge who was smiling evily. Annoying..ugh. I scowled again, she was enjoying this, of course she was. Me and Lyssa had gotten into heaps of trouble with her in fifth year annoying Toad of a person. I glanced anxiously back at Lyssa who looked as if she was about to have a mental breakdown... this shouldn't be happening...she's seventeen barley an adult... I wanted to do something but nothing I could do would help, I'd probably just make it worse.

I reopened my eyes, once I had forced myself out to calm down, to look right at Cassie, who was looking at me worried. And then I finally took the time to look around, scowling at all the people I had come to not like, such as the prat and the toad.

The room was full of idiots. I diciced, stupid idiots who thought it was right to send a seventeen year old to spend the rest of her life in Askaban, it wasn't fair, it wasn't right. And they was that mad hatter smiling as if christmas had come early annoying git of a person. How could people take pleasure in knowing that someone was suffering and that it was there fault, heartless gits.

My eyes landed on the guy and I saw him nod shortly. A moment later two Aurors (as I reject the Dementors completely taking her away) were by the chair, one on either side. The chains holding me to the chair released me, causing me to jump slightly at the suddenness, and instead I found myself with my hands bound in front of me and although it was a change I still found it annoying. I frowned. These people are too overly precautious for their own good, I thought bitterly and to keep myself distracted mostly. It's not like I can exactly do anything. I don't even have a wand... I stood up from the chair, shakily, and the Aurors took me over to where the Dementors were waiting, as they had been for a while now. I shook, as I got closer to them. This was it, I realized, forcing myself to stay emotionally disconnected so a huge dramatic scene could be avoided. This was it. I was going to spend the rest of my life in Azkaban, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

I watched Lyssa get taken to the doors by the Aurors and given to the dementors. I couldn't help myself now, I was starting to cry. I watched as Lyssa was taken out and then curled into a ball, I didn't care right now who else was in the room, with the presence of the dementors taken away I didn't feel any more cheerful, the year was playing back in my head...why had it all gone wrong?

A while later I found myself in the cell I would be in, anything before that and after leaving the ministry was really all just a blur, since I had made myself not pay attention to anything. Now that I was completely alone, nothing and no one around, every emotion I had been keeping bottled inside came rushing forward. I curled up in the corner and cried for the longest time until I fell asleep.

The next few days passed in a dismal blur, the look on Draco's face when he found out that his sister had been sent to Askaban was one of the worst parts of it. He looked so...hopeless. McGonagall summoned me to her office late on the fifth day after. "Miss Evans' She said. "I've had a chat with the ministy and managed to get them to allow you to visit Miss Malfoy," I looked up suddenly. "Really?" "Yes," She nodded. "Now get ready cause we'll be going to the ministy soon for them to take you there," "What about Draco?" I asked. She sighed. "I asked if he could toobut they seemed a little...hesistant..but I'll keep trying." I nodded and left the office.

Over the next few, horrible, dull, and long, days I spent most of my time in the same corner from the first night. Most of the time my locket stayed grasped tightly in my hand. If this was only after a few days...I hate to think of what it would be like after longer.

I sped off to the Gryffindor dorms which was where I was staying and nearly ran into Draco. "wha?" He asked. I skidded to a halt and caught my breath slightly. "McGonagall says that I've been given permission to see Lyss, though the ministy are hesisitant to allow you to." He made a noise of outrage. "Yes anyway, anything you want me to tell her?" He thought for a moment before telling my the message. "Make sure you give it to her," He said. "I will," I sped off to my dorm, seeing my Chocolate from Honeydukes I shoved that into my robes then ewnt to the entrance hall where McGonagall was. We were meeted with some grim faced auror's at the ministy who looked as if they really did not want to be doing this. The flight to Askaban was horrible, it was wet and raining and all together blerg. I frowned and shivered at the presence of Dementors when we got there.

I was sitting in the corner as was becoming the usual- because honestly what else was there to do- knees pulled up slightly, one arm wrapped around them, the other fiddling with my locket. My forehead rested on my knees. I heard a noise, and natural curiosity called it to my attention. I looked up and felt my eyes widen slightly. "Cass?"

Shivering again the door to the cell was unlocked, Lyssa looked awful there was really no other way to put it, I shut the door behind me and sat down next to her. "Hey," I said softly wincing at how ill she looked, if this was only after a few days...I frowned and hugged her softly. I didn't really know what to say cause how are you? and are you ok? are really stupid question to ask.

I stared at her, not even reacting when she hugged me in my shock. "What are you....How did you...?" I shook my head at my inability to even coherent ask a freaking question due to surprise, clenching my locket tightly in my hand.

"McGonagall," I said. "She pulled a full strings at the ministy but they wouldn't let Draco come," I made a slight face. "But I bumped into him and he gave me a message to tell you. 'Lyssa, thank-you for always being there for me expecially last year, I'll miss you and I love you. Draco,'" I gave the message hoping that I at least told it right. "He misses you,"

I frowned at the message running my fingers through my hair, curling my knees closer and burying my head in my arms on top of them. "Stupid arseholes always have to go about ruining things," I mumbled angrily not lifting my head.

"Yeah..." I muttered shivering again, Askaban was not the most pleasant place to be. "Oh," I said suddenly remembering something. I pulled the chocolate out my pocket and gave it to Lyss. "I got you something,"

I lifted my head to look at her, seeing the chocolate. I took it and just held it in my hand. "Thanks..." I said quietly. We were quiet for a moment after that. I didn't know what to say, and it seemed Cassie didn't either. I absentmindedly started twirling the chain of my necklace around my finger.

"It's ok," I replied. I was still unsure of what to say and the dementors were really not helping, I kept on thinking of things I'd rather not think of right now. Some of the past year some things of earlier when I was a kid and hanging out with Lizzie when I'd hurt myself or fall over or do something stupid and Lizzie would just continue on her way. I growled slightly and frowned. Stupid Dementors.

While twirling the chain I remembered something, something rather important. "Cassie," I said, as quietly as I had the moment before, "I have something I think you may want back..." I open the part of the locket where I had put it and pulled out the charm I had repaired ages ago after having found it broken. I held it out on my palm.

I watched Lyssa take something out of her locket, it was the small charm she had given me that I'd lost escaping Malfoy Mannor. "Thank you Lyss," I said and hugged her again. I stayed for a little longer than a auror came and told me I had to go. Making a face I hugged Lyssa again and got up. I visited her a few more times in the passing weeks and McGonagall finally got the ministy to allow Draco to go. Though still hesitantly. I was to go with him, cause the ministy didn't trust him. Stupid idiots.
