| Over some span of time -really what was the use of keeping up with it anyway?- Cassie came back for more visits, and it made things prospectively better, but still... I heard the usual sound of her coming one day and looked up only to have my eyes go wide in surprise and shock, because standing (somewhat awkwardly) next to Cassie was Draco. | |

| Draco paled considerably on the way to Askaban, it was not a plesent flight but I was used to it a little bit because I came and went quite often. We got there and into the cell I ignored the other people as we walked past them but Draco kept glancing at them. "Happy Birthday," I said to Lyssa passing her a small parcle it had an assortment of sweets in it. (Which the ministy had cheaked to make sure they where sweets what else would it be?) Draco was still standing akwardly and I sighed and rolled my eyes, Jeez. | |

| I gave a little laugh. "Firstly, happy...haha. Secondly, I've given up with keeping track of the date, so I had no clue it was today...." I said, taking the parcel from her. Cassie looked slightly shocked at how I was acting, since all the times before I had been quiet, and now I wasn't so much. "I learned that anger is an emotion the dementors don't destroy as it's negative and so I'm utilizing it as to where I don't feel miserable about things all the time....Makes everything so much more bearable..." I went on to try and explain. | |

| "Yeah well I knew it wasn't happy but it's a tradition thing so eh," I shrugged and sat down next to her. "Anger..." I frowned, it made sence but anger was what got us into this mess in the first place, anger at the Carrows, Anger at Snape, Anger at Voldemort Anger at each other. Dominoe effect, there always seemed to be someone that you were angry at. I sighed and watched as Draco came over and hugged his sister. | |

| "Being angry is a lot more...well it's easier than feeling hopeless all the time," I said, realizing that every time before when Cassie had come we had never really talked about...well...The topic had always been averted when it started to come up. I was so busy thinking I didn't really realize Draco had hugged me. | |

| "I suppose..." I murmered frowning slightly, I sighed and zoned out slightly thinking of things that didn't involve fear, anger and Askaban. I wished I could just go back in time and not come up with the stupid idea of Lyssa acting like a Malfoy, I had started it and me and Lyssa had just helped in snowball till we couldn't stop it and had to watch our small idea turn into something bigger and not being able to do anything, it just rolled on its own accord. We'd lost controll somewhere... | |

| I sighed and leaned in the corner -my corner?- farther, running my hand through my hair. It was quiet, no one saying anything. No one could think of anything to say it seemed. I looked up at the ceiling with another sigh.

| The room was quiet no-one was saying anything which wasn't exactly odd as me and Lyssa really didn't seem to talk much when I visited. Draco seemed at a loss of what to say either. I sighed and frowned when I remembered I had to sit my N.E.W.Ts at the end of the holidays, I had been studying like mad and it was actually nice to not be studying but I prefered studying than being in Askaban but it was good to see my best freind again, I missed the days when we just hung out, when we had no troubles to think about when we were little, when war wasn't real, it was just a card game, a card game I taught Lyssa in our third year...I smiled sadly remembering teaching Lyssa muggle games throughout our years at school, Chess was one of the most amusing one as she was used to telling the peices what to do not moving them herself. I smiled again. Draco and I left sometime after, we visited every few weeks and I passed most of my N.E.W.Ts, the years passed and I still made sure I made time to visit Lyssa at least once every two weeks sometimes more, I'd just arrive at the ministy and they'd take me (though not exactly enjoying it) Draco visited her less than I did, though I didnt know why, he seemed to be drifting from her slightly, he still loved her I could tell but I think it pained him to be in Askaban (expecially after his dad got thrown back in) Lyssa hadn't seen her dad nor her mum since seventh year. Draco still visisted her but the visits came less and less regular. After each visit Lyssa seemed more worn down, sadder, she was losing her spark. We started talking more in the years after school had ended after the uncomfortability of the whole affair had died down, we'd talk about our school years, including seventh and found out each other's reasons for everything that had happened that year. Shortly after my thirtyith birthday I heard that Lyssa had died and although I knew that the people were buried at Askaban I didn't stop bugging the ministy until they let me take her body home and get her a proper burial, it was the least I owed her. She deserved to rest in peace the burden of living had been taken off her shoulders... The End | |
