Cassie and Lyssa AE 6

"What the hell is that supposed to mean! Why else would she have left? She even said she'd had enough of the Carrows."

"I'm just saying she would have left at the start of break because then she could have said she was going home for the Summer for a family thing and would have given her more time. It must have been something recent that sent her over the edge."

"That...that doesn't make any sense. The only recent thing was me telling her not to get herself killed by being stupid and getting in trouble more..."

"Maybe," Snape said. "She didn't need someone to tell her she's being stupid, maybe she just needed someone to help her heal."

Cassie grabbed her bike out of the shed and set off down the street. She hadn't riden in years but she'd forgotten how to. The bike was a good sie mainly because it was also Lizzie's and Lizzie liked to ride, she would ride to school as she didn't go to a boarding school. Or well hadn't. Lizzie was out of school now. Cassie dicided she liked riding at night, it was interesting, the chilly air blew her hair around and Cassie relaised once at the end of the street she wasn't wearing her helmet.

"You're not making any sense, professor..." Lyssa said.

Snape just looked at the girl. "Miss Malfoy I really do have other things to do then to stand here talking to you. Though one thing," He turne to face her having started to walk away. "Why are you still here when Miss Evans if not?" And withoutanother word he gave the gargoyle the password and entered his office.

Cassie brought the bike to a stop outside one of her Primary school freind's house. She hadn't seen her in a few years and the two girls used to be really close but then Cassie went off to Hogwarts and met Lyssa and didn't really see Emma a lot. Placing the bike by the tree Cassie then proceded to climb up it onto the roof. Once of the roof she quietly walked over to her freinds window, she could see the light inside it which made Cassie know that Emma was in there and knocke don the window.

Lyssa stared at the gargoyle for a second. Then with a sigh she walked away, back toward the common room, since there was nowhere else to go. Once there she sat on the couch, staring at the fireplace. Thankfully the room was empty, most people not returning until the afternoon from their homes. Snape -she hated to admit it but he did- had a point. Why the hell had she stayed? With a shrug to herself she slumped back into the couch. Too late to wonder that now. Even if she did figure it out and decided to go, she had no clue where Cassie would go, and so there was no point.

"Cassie?!" Cassie heard Emma exclaimed when she pushed aside the curtains. Fumbling for a moment the girl undid the clasp on her window and let Cassie slip into the room. Emma glanced at her backpack. "What are you doing here? Didn't you go off to...boarding school?" Emma for some odd reason had a problem saying anything to do with magic now, which was odd as both girls had loved anything to do with magic when they were younger. "Uh yeah..." Cassie said sitting down on Emma's bed. Emma sat down on the othe side. "Tell me everything." "But Emma, it has to do with you know," She waved her hand. "Magic." "I'll live. I want to know." Cassie sighed and attempted to breifly summerise the year so far. Which was hard because she was telling someone who didn't know a thing about the wizarding world.

Lyssa just sat there on the couch for a while, lost deeply in her thoughts. She didn't know what she wanted to do really.

"Wow," Was all Emma said once Cassie had finished talking. Cassie just nodded. "You know I-" Emma said. "Emma I don't want to hear it." Cassie muttered. "I think you should go back." "What?!" Cassie half shouted and then lowered her voiceas to not alert Emma's parents that she was here. Her parents would probably ring Cassie's. "You miss Lyssa already even if you just left,"Emma told her and Cassie sighed. Emma had always been perceptive. "I can't go back Em, it's killing me. Literally." "But you have to." "Ahh," Cassie beat her head against her hand. "I don't have to! and I dn't want to-""Yes you do." "Were you listening to me at all when I talked?" "Yes and you do want to. Cause you want to be with Lyssa." "She probably hates me now anyway," Cassie muttered moodily. "I don't think so." "How can you be so sure?" "Cause the same things happened to me?" "What you mean your best freind has run away even when you asked them not to?" "Yes." "When?" "When you went to Hogwarts." "I'm a horrible freind." Cassie muttered burrying her face in the blanket on the bed.

Lyssa eventually just fell asleep on the couch.

"No yours not Cassie, just go back." "I can't, not after I just walked out." "Yes you can." "And anway all my crap is at home and I don't want to ride back there and grab it." "Then go back to school like that." "The teachers will have a fit, I look like a Muggle. No offence." Cassie looked at Em. She just waved it off. "And what's wrong with that? Go back Cass and continue fighting but add a new spin on it." "How?" "Act like a Muggle." "How the hell is that meant to work?" "Cassie you were awesome at that kind of stuff in primary school before you got that peice of wood and created flashy lights." Cassie laughed. "Pece of wood? It's a wand idiot." "Whatever. but anyway, You've been going on about how Muggles matter." Cassie was actually quite impressed Em was calling herself a Muggle she usaully justsaid non magic folk. "But you've been fighting like a Wizard, see what they think when you fight without magic." "You are so confusing Em." Cassie shook her head. "Fine," She looked at Em. "I shoudl go back home and get clothing anyway, I'll need myschool books aswell." She glanced down at her clothing. "I prefer Muggle clothing actually." "Wear it then." Em said with a twinkle in her eye.

"Bye Em and thanks. I guess." Em smiled and nodded at her. "Come and visit me if you don't get yourself killed." "I'll try." "Oh and Cassie," Emma threw her a small box. Curiously Cassie unwrapped it and pulled out a small half a love heart with the word freind on it. "You left it here years ago." Cassie glanced at it thinking about how much had changed with her and Emma, just because she'd gone to Hogwarts. "Thank you Em." Cassie put the necklace on and climbed back out the window and down the tree.

Lyssa was still sleeping, not really dreaming. She rarely dreamed at all.

It didnj't take Cassie that long to get back home, nor really getting back to school and soon she was looking up at the castle she had walked out on only a few hours previous. Walking up the slippery slope she pulled her jumper tighter around her and smiled slightly. She was glad she'd gone to talk to Emma. Getting up to the common room Cassie dumped her things into the dorm and went back to the comon room where she saw Lyssa sleeping on the couch, sitting on one of the other couches she waited for the girl to wake up but Cassie was pretty sure she feel asleep while waiting because strang images flashed across her mind.

After a while Lyssa woke back up. She blinked tiredly, and was momentarily blinded, because the first thing she saw was the fireplace, which still had a fire, which was rather bright. She sat up and rubbed her eyes sleepily. Lyssa blinked a few times to clear her sleepy eyes, and looked at the window, noting that she hadn't really been sleeping all that long. Then she looked around the room. "Cassie?!"

Cassie jumped at the sound of her name and opened her eyes tiredly. She looked sideways at Lyssa who was now awake and looking at her. "I'm sorry Lyss.." Cassie muttered looking down at her feet.

Lyssa just shook her head and got up from her couch, walking over and giving Cassie a super tight hug. Once she was done with the hug she sat back down. "You know, oddly enough, Snape is a rather sensible guy..."

Cassie could hardly breath when Lyssa hugged her and her next words took Cassie completly off guard. "What?!" She spluttered looking at Lyssa. She'd never thought she would hear Lyssa say something along those lines.

"Well, let me just say...we had a talk and it made me think, and I realized some things I had never even considered before..."

"Which were?" Cassie pressed, curious as to exactly what Snape had told her freind, it was also a weird thought tothink of Snape telling someone something interesting.

"Well they don't really matter right now..."

Cassie smiled. "You don't need to tell me if you don't want to."

"M'kay..." Lyssa muttered.

Cassie yawned quietly. "I quite like Muggle clothing.." She said awkwardly only just remembering she was still wearing her jeans and jumper.

"Well it is a quite bit more comfortable than billowy robes..."
