Cassie and Lyssa AE 6

"He'd probably make it 1000 next time around, and who's to say we can't sleep through breakfast? As long as those two," she pointed at Nix and Vinde, "wake us up again, we could get another hour or so of sleep."

"Good idea," Cassie glanced at them. "Stuff breakfast, wake us up please?"The girls sighed and nodded before walking out of the dorm.

Lyssa smiled, and burrowed under her covers, face hidden by her hair and pillow, soon fast asleep again. She really needed to learn to write faster.

The two girls were woken what felt like moments later but was really an hour. "What class is first?" Cassie asked Nix. "Muggle studies," Nix made a face. "Well that made my day," Cassie muttered sarcasticly. "Great. Oh hey Lyss I thought this yesterday. I'm really now a Muggle born."

"No, you're not. Just because the Ministry's gone and been stupid, it doesn't change what you are," Lyssa said. "Just like it doesn't change them from being witches and wizards even though they don't have wands anymore. Although, I'm sure there's some renagade wand maker out there making wands for them."

"Probably but 'offiaclly' according to the Ministry I am, which makes no sense cause the reason that I didn't need togo to that trail was because of Mum but she had to go to it and lost her wand.." Cassie trailed off still muttering.

"Who gives a damn what's official?" Lyssa asked, raising an eyebrow. "The Ministry is corrupt anyway."

Cassie shrugged. "The Ministry are dunderheads." She said as they made their way to Muggle studies. "What really is the point of this class?" She asked to no-one in particular.

Lyssa shrugged. "Don't know, don't care. Just going so as to not get more detentions."

At five that night the girls werewaiting outside Snape's office. He let them in and without needed Snape to say anything they sat down. "You know what you're doing" He said. Cassie before picking up her quill she looked atthe portrait of DUmbledore. Sighing she started writing. "Miss Evans," Snape leered. "Where did you learn to write?" He flicked his wand and all the ink of Cassie's page disapeared. She snarled at him and he raised an eyebrow. She dipped her quil into her ink again and started to write once more, a little slower and a little neater this time, without so many random splodges.

Lyssa started writing her lines, just as neat as the night before, only this time she tried to write just a little bit fast.

Cassie hindered slightly by having to write neater finished at around the same time she had the night before, or so her enternal clock was telling her. After she had gotten them cheaked and went back to the dorm she found of that it was. So she'd been writing at the same speed even if she was writing neater. Cassie wondered what time she wuld have finished if she'd just scrawled it all. Tinking about it she feel asleep before Lyssa came backt o the dorm.

Lyssa wrote, once again finishing after Cassie, but what could she expect? This time, however, Lyssa managed to nearly finish with Cassie, since not all that long after Cassie left she was done. She walked back to the dorm, still just as tired as the night before though, and fell asleep upon encountering her bed.

The girls were woken after breakfast the next morning, Cassie was in an irritable mood and was grumbling to herself about how much she hated Snape and he could be damne dfor not liking her handwriting.

Lyssa was right. After two nights of writing her hand definitely felt worse than it had at one night. She was not used to writing so much. The most she ever wrote was essays for class, and those weren't nearly as long.

Cassie contemplated writing with her left hand that night but that would take her longer because she failed at it and Snape wanted it neat. Why did he care if it was neat or not? He probably chucked them out the moment the girls were out of the door. Cassie sat down at the desk with a sigh and started to write wishing she could punch Snape in the face.

Lyssa frowned as she set to writing for the third night in a row. Unfortunately, increasing her speed the night before had cost her, and she was slower this night.

The next few nights passed in a tired blaze and once or twice Cassie nearly fell asleep writing lines or in class. On the last night of the Dets both girls finished at the same time and Snape took their papers up before saying. "I do not want to hear about either of you skipping or disrupting classes again, or the punishment will be even more severe." And with that he let them go.

Lyssa frowned as she walked back to the tower with Cassie. "I think my hand's in a permanent cramp. Aren't things supposed to lessen once you do them a lot, cause I think the cramp's gotten worse..."

Cassie flexed her fingers. "It'll heal..as long as we stay out of trouble.."

"Us stay out of trouble? That's like telling the twin's to."

Cassie grinned. "Let's let our hands rest for a few days first though." She sighed. "Git,"

"Yeah, maybe a few weeks though...My hand feels like it's about to fall off."

The next week passed without the girls disrupting the class in even the slightest mannor. "Oh that's it," Cassie muttered as they walked out of Muggle studies and Towards Dark Arts. "I've had enough of listening to this crap."

"Cassie, we really shouldn't," Lyssa said. "I've had enough too, but my hand still hurts!"
