Cassie and Lyssa: Rise of Audentia

"Ah, I beg to differ. Auntie Bellatrix proabably would no matter what. You know how she is..." Lyssa muttered.

"Yes well in my opinion she classifies as an idiot so," Cassie shrugged and her mouth quirked in a smile for a few seconds before it left.

Lyssa shrugged. "Anyway....um...." she muttered. "There's that, and it seems we've run out of things to talk about..."

"Yeah..." Cassie said somewhat awkwardly she scratched her head unable to think or anything else to add. "This is fun," She said slightly sarcastic and slightly not, it was good to see and try talk to Lyss again, she just wished everything wasn't so strained.

Lyssa made a noise and tapped her fingers on her knee. "Bleh, this just got awkward again, wouldn't you agree?" she said. "Sort of wish that would stop happening...."

"That would be helpful," Cassie agreed with a frown. "We need a topic of conversation that won't filter into nothingness in like a minute..." She frowned. "Do you want to play Chess, I have peices somewhere..." She gestured with her hand on the word somewhere clearly stating she wnas't exactly sure where but if need be accio could fine them.

Lyssa shrugged. "Sure, I guess. Better than the nothing I've been doing. Reading can only entertain you for so long after all." Then she smiled. "Now it's just the matter of you finding the pieces and the board, since you don't know where it is."

Cassie grinned chipperly and stood up. "I would say feel free to help but everyone in the house would kill me," She shrugged. "Be right back," After ten mintues off looking around the house Cassie gave up and just summoned the blasted thing, it's was Wizard's chess although Cassie prefered normal chess because the peices couldn't talk back. She reentered the room and dumped the stuff on the floor watching as some of the peices rolled under the bed. Muttering to herself Cassie went to find them, she smiled amusedly as she came out with the chess peices and a small blue bear. "This was Lizzie's, I hid it when I was angry at her," Her eyes gleamed darkly. "She was upset for aweek and by then I'd forgetten where I'd left it."

"You forget things a lot..." Lyssa muttered, sneezing as some dust emerged from under the bed when Cassie pulled the bear out. She frowned, watching as Cassie set up the chess board after she had located all of the pieces.

"Eh," Cassie said chucking the bear over her shoulder and setting up the peices, her chess board unlike Lyssa's at least listened to her a few times not back chatted everything and complained at the same time. "I want to be white," Cassie declared once the peices were set.

"Be whichever color you please," Lyssa said. "I'm not partial to either one." She looked down at the chess set. "They're nothing like mine, but they'll do. Do they dislike you as much as mine do?" she said, analyzing the pieces.

Cassie rolled her eyes. "Just about, these are at least a family thing so will favour me more then someone if I'm not playing family but if I am then I'm really stuffed." She told the horse to move someplace and it did so, without complainig.

Lyssa laughed for a second. "Chess pieces just don't like you..." she commented. "Family or not...Perhaps you should start listening to them? Could help you finally win at the game."

Cassie rolled her eyes. "I bet Lizzie in chess once but then was with Muggle chess peices not wizard, I think I play better when peices aren't yelling at me that I'm being stupid," She shrugged.

"Most people tend to do things better when they aren't being called names. It's bad for concentration to be listening to things like that and thus they mess up," Lyssa replied. "Have you tried explaining that to them?" She gestured to the pieces.

"They wouldn't listen to me," She told the horse to move again and a few of the other peices complained that she was ignoring them. Cassie glowered at it bored quelling the temtation to chuck the peices across the room.

"Well that is a problem then," Lyss muttered, moving a piece. Then another one said something to her about it. Her eyebrow raised for a moment at it and she scowled. That was simply unacceptable. "Watch it," she warned the piece. "I'm very much bigger than you and it wouldn't take much to reduce you to dust."

Cassie snickered. "I think we jsut have grouchy peices in general," She moved her horse again much to the annoyance of every other peice on the board. "Oh shut up," She snapped picking up the pawn who was complaining. She held it in front of her face and swung it dangerously before placing it back on the board. "I'm in charge here so shut up."

"I think they're just a bunch of smart alecks, who don't know what's best for them," Lyssa muttered angrily. She thumped over a piece when it said something to her. It squeaked as it toppled over and rolled off the board.

Cassie grinned. "I believe it's time to stop playing by the rules, King to F8." The king looked indignent at having to move more then one place and jump over other. "Move," She snarled waving her finger in it's face. "Or I'll push you over."

"I just think it's time to stop playing," Lyssa commented. "This is infuriating. I've never seen such badly mannered chess pieces." The pieces all turned to look at her. She shrugged at them. "Well it's true," she said, thumping another piece over.

Cassie snickered and lined up all her peices before knocking one over causing a domino effect. She smiled amusedly. "Muggle chess is just so much simplier," She said. "And they don't tell on you if you move them when the other person isn't pating attension."

Lyssa laughed. "You just implied that you cheat when playing with a Muggle chess board, or have at least tried with a wizard set," she said. She had arranged her pieces like bowling pins and was planning to knock them over with another piece.

Cassie grinned and muttered in a an undertone. "Lizzie," She grinned wondering what else to do to her chess peices. Cassie spent a bit longer then dicided she really ought to go and do soemthing else. "I should go," She said making a slight face. "I can leave the chess with you? Cause I don't think anyone else would want it." She shrugged.

Lyssa shrugged with a frown. "Fine by me, if you're okay with them getting turned to dust the second they annoy me too far," she muttered, glaring at the chess pieces who were protesting with all their little might at being left in the room.
