Cassie and Lyssa: Rise of Audentia

Cassie apparated to the place where the raid was and kept her senses alert, something seemed off but she couldn't quite place what was off about it. Holding her wand tightly she frowned.

Lyssa was standing near the edge of the town where the other Deeath Eaters were. She watched them with a slight frown on her face. This wasn't going to work; she had a bad feeling about it.

Cassie stood uneasily and sighed, she was a Gryffindor and ran into danger headlong, wasting that a tradmark Gryffindor fact? Holding her wand tight she walked slowly into the villiage.

Draco watched Cassie. She was being more cautious than usual. Something was most definintely off. His Slytherin instinct told him to go back, cause something bad was probably going to happen but another part of him told him to stay, because Audentia was courage and he was in Audentia.

Cassie delfected something that had been fired at her, but only just the spell had almost been too powerful for the sheild. She frowned and cursed thinking the day was not going well. Cassie went furthur into the town dodging spells and firing her own. Cassie spotted Lyssa and sent a hex that way. "Surprised you came back." SHe shouted at her. "Didn't you learn your lesson last time?"

Lyssa deflected the hex and took a light step back, having been taken ever so slightly off guard for a moment, which admittedly wasn't the smartest thing for her to have happen. "Trust me," she replied sending back a spell. "I wouldn't be here if I had a choice in the matter."

Cassie rolled her eyes slightly. "I'm sure you have so much more important things to do then terrorise Wizarding towns, terrosing Muggle ones maybe?" She doged the hex or whatever it was and sent another back.

Lucy frowned as they entered the town, from what she could gather it was a setup so that they could kill a group that was against the Death Eaters or something like that. Lucy gripped her wand and set a hex at some idiot (what was probably a Gryffindor) who tried to hex her, the guy feel. She had nothing against hexing people who was trying to attack her, she just didn't like hexing innocents.

Lyssa scowled and once again deflected whatever it was sent her way. "You make it sound like yuo think I enjoy being forced to come here. Jeez...." She slightly rolled her eyes for a moment, thinking of the ridiculousness of the idea.

"Then why are you with the Death Eaters? If you don't enjoy that type of thing?" She raised an eyebrow deflected a spell that was sent her way. She wondered if the Order knew about this raid because Cassie had a feeling they would need the help, it seemed as if half the Death Eaters were here more infact which Cassie thouhgt mean that they had been expecting Audentia. She cursed quietly.

Lyssa gave a small chuckle. "It's really a rather long explanation not suited for a duel (if that's what you would call this). If you really wanted to know you should have asked me before." She wondered how much longer all this would drag on.

"What can't talk and duel at the same time?" Cassie asked raising an eyebrow as the duel continued. She wasn't in the mood to duel, she was stressed out and tired and wasn't in the mood to chuck curses at her former best freind.

"Well of course I can," Lyssa retorted. "I'm doing it now aren't I?" The duel continued on for a bit longer, Lyssa moving back a little each spell, drawing the two of them away from the rest of the fighting. When they were a certain distance away a cold voice emerged. It still made Lyssa shudder when he used certain tones, the less common ones. "So this is the leader?" Voldemort said, coming into view.

Cassie's inside's froze as she heard Voldemort's voice, oh ah crap. She thought swearing under her breath, this was definetly not a good thing. She swore again when she saw him walk out of whereever he had been hiding. She held her wand tightly and looked at the annoying git of a Dark Lord. "You have to ask?" She asked him not being able to help herself.

Voldemort nodded once, as though to himself before saying, "Well done Melyssa." The Malfoy nodded at him, a light smile playing at her lips. "Thank you, my Lord." And although Voldemort had learned her personality well enough to Imperize her, he was too egotistical to allow himself to control her into saying the typical sir she used when addressing him when she had to. (because really do you think Lyssa would've led Cassie to Voldemort willingly?)

Cassie scowled unsure of what to do and flashed a glance at her freind, she had thought she knew her or at least a little bit, but the girl she had known had long since disapeared, even if they were on other sides the Lyssa she knew wouldn't have given her to Voldemort but then the Lyssa she knew wouldn't have been on his side in the first place. "What did you do?" She snarled at Voldemort her eyes flaring.

"Absolutely nothing," Voldemort lied with one of his odd smile things, but that's to be expected honestly.

In her mind, Lyssa was trying to break free of the hold of the Imperius Curse, but not making much progress with it, which just made her try harder.

"Yeah sure." Cassie scoffed glancing back at her freind again. "I'm not an idiot you know and I don't believe you." She could hear the sounds of dueling behind her and wondered if anyone else in Audentia knew that Voldemort was there, the Death EAters would but Audentia would not. Cassie frowned and dicided that if she came out of this alive she really needed to find a way to be able to quickly call the Order.

Draco snuck away from the main bit of fighting for a moment, having noticed the absence of Cassie and she wouldn't just disappear without a good reason. He crept out of sight until he found her, and his sister, and....Voldemort. Draco's eye widened. He pulled back away from the group and made his Patronus, hoping he did this right, as he'd only done it a couple times before. He gave the weasel a message and told him to go to Professor McGonagall. They needed the Order there, fast.

Cassie heard the sound of apperating and chanced a glance over her shoulder, she was relieved to see that it was the Order and not more Death Eaters, Cassie wondered why there weren't anti-apperation wards around the place, you would have thought there would. She heard Voldemort hiss and turned back to him glancing at Lyssa again. She knew something was wrong but she couldn't quite put a finger on what it was.

Draco nearly sighed in relief when the Order showed up quickly, but soon remembered that this was far from over yet and that he had to keep fighting. Really....this was way more tiring than it seemed in the beginning. Stupid freaking persistent Death Eaters.

Cassie frowned, she'd seen that look on Lyssa some time before, a few years ago. She was pretty certain it was before Voldemort had come back. Fourth year? In her head she ran through the things that could have happened in fourth year. Mad Eye Moody. She froze. Imperio. She looked back toward Voldemort her eyes blazing angrily. "Let her go." She snarled.

Voldemort chuckled. "Finally caught on have you?" he said, then he pretended to think over what she had said. "I don't think I will. She talks back much less like this. It's more preferable."

"You're pathetic," She snarled. "You need to hoodwink people to get them to follow you."She heard an explosion and dicided to ignor it for the time being she had more important things to think about.

Voldemort glared at her for a moment.

Cassie smiled sweetly at him. "Let her go, she should be able to make her own choice of who to follow." Her eyes hardened as she glanced at Lyssa who was looking completly relaxed, she wondered what she was feeling on the inside.
