Revenge is Sweeter Than You Ever Were

"Stupid teacher," Cassie muttered to Tiffany walking out of the transfiguration classroom, which had been their last class of the day. Cassie hated thursday, and this thursday was no different. As thursdays consisted of, Muggle studdies, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, a spare and Transfiguration. All but the spare were crap. Muggles studies was taught by a Carrow, who seemed to enjoy telling everyone just how useless muggles were. Defence Against The Dark Arts was taught by the Carrow's stupid brother. Who enjoyed hurting people. Potions was just a crap class altogether, though at least Snape wasn't teaching it. And Transfiguration was with McGonagall. Enough said. So all in all, Thursdays for Cassie were not pleasant days. That certain Thursday she had managed to get three detentions, one from each of the Carrows and another from McGonagall, so she was not in a very good mood.

Tiffany shrugged at Cassie. "I don't say this often, but that third detention was completely your fault," she said, looking at the girl. "Really, you should know better when it comes to McGonagall. She's the one teacher you don't mess with."

Lyssa walked out of her last class of the day, which was also Transfig. Most 7th years all had the same schedule except for when they didn't have that class anymore. She walked down the hall, talking with her friend Jaclyn. "I can't wait for school to be completely over," she said. "I'm sick of homework."

"Ehh," Cassie said making a face. "She was annoying me, I was having a crap day. Her fault." She sighed running a hand through her hair. "Nice going Cassie," Patrick said putting his arm around her shoulders. "What's that? Your fifth detention today?" "Go away Pat," Cassie said pushing him off. "And anyway, learn to count idiot. Third." He smiled at her. "You're the idiot, you messed with McGonagall, I'm not even that stupid." "Shut it."

Jaclyn nodded. "Same," She said, readjusting her bag so it was more comfortable. "Do they really expect us to get through it all? Like really, each teacher gives us a giant load of it. I don't care if it's Newt year. I'm going to die of a homework overload." She sighed, she really was tired off all the homework they were getting. And her parents expected her to keep her grades up.

Tiff laughed. "Good to know that you know you're stupid though, Patrick," she said, which earned her a glare. She shrugged at the face. "We all know that I'm the smartest person in our group. Don't deny it either."

Lyssa sighed. "I think they expect us not to have social lives just to get it all done. It's ridiculous. And so are they," she muttered. Then she sighed. "I suppose it's gonna be another late night tonight?"

"You wish," Patrick said with a slight eyeroll at the girl. Cassie smiled amused, that certain arguement had been going on for years. Though Tiffany did have a point, she was indeed smarter then Patrick. Though he wasnt stupid, he just prefered not to work. Why do the wok when others can do it for you? "Eh," Cassie said with a frown. "How the hell am I going to manage all this homework and three detensions? There's barely even enough time for the homework without the dets." "Should have thought of that earlier Cassie dear," Pat said with a smile. "Shut up dude, unless you want a fist in the face."

"Yes, I am Patrick dear. Unless you can name someone who is smarter," Tiffany said, as she wasn't one to let something die until she'd won."It certainly isn't Cassie after all, and she's the only one who had a chance at it. No offense of course, Cass." She stopped to chuckle. "And by all means, hit Pat."

Lyssa and Jaclyn walked down, meeting up with Draco, who had opted out of taking Transfiguration that year, if not else to avoid McGonagall. Then they all walked to dinner where some of their friends already were.

Cassie poked out her tongue at the girl. "I'm smart." She said indignently. "I just have a problem of keeping my temper. People really should learn to not upset me when I'm already upset. Or not upset me at all in fact. Cause my mood does change rather quickly." Her eyes glinted slightly looking at Pat, as if contemplating whether to hit him or not. He rolled his eyes, though he knew that she had a harder hit then he did, and that he wouldn't hit her anyway.

Jaclyn sat down at the Slytherin table, glancing at the food near her and wondering what to eat. She settled for beef and some leafy looking vegtables that didn't taste that pleasant but were supposedly good for you.

Tiffany stuck out her tongue back. "That's what makes you not the smartest," she replied with a nod. "Now, I don't know about you two but I want dinner. Let's get going. You can hit him later, Cassie. I'm sure he'll do something else to deserve it as well."

Lyssa sat down in between her brother and Jaclyn, grabbing her favorite thing from the table in front of her just as Pansy did. Lyssa grabbed it first though. Pansy looked at her with a frown and Lyssa shrugged with a smirk.

"Probably," Cassie said with a laugh, as the three of them headed off towards the great hall. They sat down at the Gryffindor table, near the other three in their group. Two sixth years and a seventh who had decided that getting a good mark in Transfiguration was not worth having to put up with McGonagall. Which was actually quite a smart idea. Cassie grabbed a peice of pizza taking a bite out of before it even reached her plate.

Lyssa, Jaclyn and Draco all finished eating at round about the same time, so they headed down to the common room together. Jaclyn sighed sitting down in one of the chairs. She liked their common room, though she was curious as to what the other common rooms were like. "Suppose we need to work on our homework." She said making a face at the thought of it. Jaclyn was not a fan of homework.

"Have fun in McGonagall's class?" Richard asked Cassie, Tiffany, and Patrick as they sat down, just like he always did when they had that class. As least he was smart enough not to take it. NEWT Transfiguration didn't seem like too much of an easy class. In fact, it was probably one of the hardest classes in the entire school. Tiffany gave a laugh. "As horrid as always," she replied. "Although, there was a good moment when Cassie landed herself her third detention of the day." Justin, who was sitting on the other side of the table, let out a 'ha!'. "That's great," he said laughing.

Lyssa fell back on the couch as soon as she'd thrown her bag off her shoulder. Then she stretched out as Draco tried to sit down on it as well. "My couch," she muttered, throwing an arm over her eyes. "Someone wake me up when this year is over." Draco budged his sister's feet out of the way and sat down. "Stop whining," he said. "We all have to deal with it. You're not special." Lyssa raised her arm and looked at him.` "Yes I am," she said, voice coming out slightly whiny.

"Hey," Cassie said picking up her fork and waving it threateningly in the air. "Shut up." "How on earth did you manage to get three?" Andrew asked from where he was sitting next to Justin. "Both Carrow classes," Cassie said which explained those two. "And I was tired in Transfig and McGonagall kept asking me questions and crap." She said with a shrug. "Nice going Cassie." She rolled her eyes.

Jaclyn amused watching Draco and Lyssa bicker, she sat down on one of the couches near the fire. She liked being near the fire. The girl pulled out her Transfiguration homework, which was going to be the hardest of the lot and started to work on it.

"Overall," Richard said, "I think Cassie's had a productive day today." Then he nodded as everyone, minus Cassie started to laugh. "Richard," Tiff said between giggles, "be nice. It's not her fault she has a bad temper." "Oh," Justin piped in. "I think it is."

Lyssa looked over at her friend. "Jaclyn, tell Draco that I am special," she said, making pouty eyes at the other girl. "Pleeeeassseeee?"

Cassie glowered at him. "And if you don't shut up, it'll be your fault that you have a bowl of soup in your hair." She frowned glancing at her watch, she needed to go soon. Bah.

Jaclyn grinned slightly. "I'm not getting into the middle of this," She declared.

"Oi," Richard said, "no need to get angry at us. You know we're just kidding around. Like a lion or something, you are."

Lyssa frowned. "But I need you to set him straight. He says I'm not."

Cassie rolled her eyes at him. "Guess I should go," She said spooning another scoop of soup into her mouth. "Don't want to keep McGonagall waiting do I." She made a face, standing up and grabbing her bag. "I shall hopefully be back in one piece. But knowing Carrows I am really not that certain." "Have fun Cassie," Andrew said with a cheery wave. Cassie ignored him.

She walked out of the hall and towards McGonagalls office, she was glad that her detention was first. Because she had a slight feeling that concentrating after the Carrow's was going to be somewhat difficult. McGonagalls detention was not hard, it was just boring and time consuming. The Carrow's wasn't hard either, she just had to stand there. but it hurt, rather a lot. Cassie half hopped out of the classroom muttering about Psychopaths who enjoyed hurting children.

She entered the common room, flopping down on the couch next to Tiffany. She was not in the mood for homework, she was tired and sore and just all around bleh. Though if she didn't do it she was just going to have to do it and whatever other work she accumulated the next day. Otherwise she would end up in another det. "I am not getting a det for the rest of the week," She declared making a face. "Well you only need to get through tomorrow so that's not that hard."

Pat smiled slightly. "Oi Cassie, if you can get to next thursday without landing yourself in a det I'll do your homework for a month." Cassie looked at him thoughtfully. "And if I don't?" "You do mine for the month." "Hrmm..." Cassie said thinking it over. "Fine. Deal." "Awesome." Pat said grinning, her obviously thought Cassie wouldn't make it. Cassie had doubts herself but meh.



"He is your brother," Jaclyn said looking up from her work to look at Lyssa. "What do you expect?"

Tiffany faked a frown. "Cassie, you not getting any detentions takes all the fun out of life," she said, voice completely serious, but her face showed she was joking about it. "I don't think you can do it. Also, I think that deal sucks because it leaves Pat as free to get detentions as he wants. Change to whoever gets a detention first has to do the other's homework for a month. That would be much more interesting, I think."

Lyssa frowned at Jaclyn. "Some friend you are," she muttered, crossing her arms across her chest while still laying across the couch. "You're supposed to defend me and all that jazzy stuff. But no, you sit there and blame it on the fact that I'm related to that." She motioned her head at Draco, who looked at her affronted. "I think it's worse to be related to you."

Cassie nodded and then looked at Pat, who shrugged. "Why not?" He asked. Cassie grinned. "Alright, first to get a det has to do the other's homework for a month." "Deal," Pat said. The two shook on it. Cassie just knew that it was going to turn into a game to see if they could get the other into a det without getting themselves into one. "Speaking of homework," Cassie made a face looking at her bag.

Jaclyn rolled her eyes at the two of them. "Why don't you both stop argueing and do something productive? Unless you really want to be awake half of the night working on your homework." She turned back to her work, dipping her quill into the inkpot.

Tiffany looked at the others who weren't in on the deal. "Well," she said, "I have a feeling this next however long this lasts is going to be interesting, to say the least." Richard nodded. "This is going to be funny as hell to watch." The others agreed as well.

"Mehhhh," Lyssa whined at Jaclyn. "Can't I just copy yours, or well paraphrase it at the very least. Please?" She looked at the other girl with a pouty expression. "You've never said no before, so please don't start."

"this'll last till like what? Tomorrow?" Andrew said with an amused expression. Cassie rolled her eyes. "You guys have no faith in either of us. And besides we're Gryffindors, we're both extreamly stubborn and don't like losing. So we're going to try so we don't lose." "So I don't lose." Pat corrected. "Pfft," Cassie said. "I'm winning this." "You keep thinking that Cassie dear."

Jaclyn sighed. "Copy off your brother," She said dipping her pen into the ink pot again. She wished that you didn't need to get dipping the stupid quills into the pot every few seconds. It did get rather annoying.

"What would happen if you two were to get a detention at the same time? A tie? Then what happens?" Justin asked, always one to point out the things no one else considered. Tiffany looked at him for a moment then at Cassie and Patrick. "He has a good point there."

"But Draco copies from me after I copy from you," Lyssa complained. "C'mon Jac. Please? I'll fail otherwise." She looked at the other girl pleadingly, or rather as pleadingly as a Malfoy wa willing to go when it came to pleading.

"We start again until one of us get's a det before the other does." Cassie said with a slight shrug. Pat nodded. "Yeah," He said. "That works."

Jaclyn sighed looking at her. "Fine," She said. "Last time, you need to do some of your own work every once in a while, because otherwise you'll fail when it comes to the exams cause you won't know it as you copied."

Tiffany laughed. "If you do it that way this will never end, because you two usually get the same detentions," she said, sighing slightly. She honestly didn't get their competitiveness sometimes.

Lyssa frowned at Jaclyn. "You've been saying that since fourth year," she pointed out. "I honestly doubt this is the last time. And I copied you all of fifth year and did just fine on OWLs. What would make NEWTs any different?"

Drew smiled slightly. "On ocasion they don't get dets at the same time. Cassie got three today that Pat didn't get any of." "Remind me to take the mickey out of you next time you get a det," Cassie muttered at him.

The next day passed boringly, Cassie nearly snapped at a Carrow but to Pat's disapointment caught herself in time. The four seventh years met up with the two sixth years, as their classrooms that lesson had been next to eachother. The group was walking down the corrider when Pat spotted the two Malfoys and Norela. (Jac's randomly made up last name)

"Having fun there Malfoy?" He asked, Cassie wasn't quite sure which Malfoy he was talking to but she supposed that it didn't matter. "You seem to be paying quite a lot of attention in that last class. Thinking of joining the Death Eaters when you get out of school?"

Cassie wanted to whack him over the head, Pat really was an idiot sometimes. Though he did have a point, Draco at least, had been paying attention to what the Carrow was saying, though as much as she disliked him Cassie doubted he could be a Death Eater.

"Newts are harder then owls," Jaclyn murmered with a slight sigh, though she knew she'd let Lyssa copy off her next time anyway. She always had. Always would.

Jaclyn rolled her eyes as some Gryffindor idiot said something, their lack of braincells really did amaze her sometimes. She wondered whether Lyssa or Draco (as the jibe was aimed at one of them) would react to it. She kind of hoped not, she wasnt in the mood for an arguement with a bunch of idiotic Gryffindors.

Lyssa raised her eyebrow at the Gryffindor. "Well," she said, completely knowing that what she was about to say wasn't true (at least not completely true), but she felt that she would be amused by what it would cause to happen, "if doing so meant I wouldn't have to deal with stupid, annoying Mudbloods like you lot anymore, I think I could live with it."

Pat's eyes darkened as he looked at the girl. "You are so lucky that I don't hit girls." He snarled at her. "I," Cassie said glowering at the girl, she didn't like it when people made jabs about blood status and expecially not to her freinds. "However have absolutly no qualms in hitting people. So unless you want you nose broken again I'd advise you not to say that again."
