The Cruelty of the Writers (Previously 'Bleh to lazy to think of a catchy title)

Nicole looked at Vena for a moment, quickly determining that there was no point in fighting her right now as Vena had a wand and Nic didn't. "You're not going to tell my mum about this, are you?" she asked. "She'll flip."

Vena looked at her. "No I am not, because there is no point worrying her more then needed. Now. THis is what we are going to do. You are going to go home, pack whatever the hell you want. I'll talk to your mother. And you are coming with me back to Greece." She said it in a tone that left no room for arguement. Because she was tired of the argueing.

Nicole looked at Vena stunned for a moment. "I get to go traveling with you?" she asked, voice sounding just as stunned as her face looked. It was probably the most non-ticked off emotion she'd shown in ages.

"Yes you do, or well, you do if you hurry up and get home and get ready. I've had enough of England."

"Well, I would get home, only you've frozen me in place," Nicole said. "And I don't know that my mum will let me. She'd worry constantly."€

Vena flicked her wand unfreezing her. "You going whether you mum wants you to or not," Vena replied gesturing with her head for Nic to start walking.

Nic rolled her eyes at Vena. "I'd like to see you tell her that," she said as she started walking back toward her house.

The two girls got there and Vena walked in, walking over to where Lyssa was. Before saying anything else she said. "I'm taking Nicole with me traveling."

Lyssa raised an eyebrow at the two. "First," she said, looking at Nicole, "where did you disappear to, because last I checked you were in your room. Secondly," she looked at Vena, "what makes you say so?" Nicole looked at her mum, trying to think of some logical and reasonable explanation to where she had been that wasn't the truth.

"Because," Vena said narrowing her eyes at Lyssa. "She is twenty seven, and therefore has been a legal adults for ten years now. So what you have to say doesn't really matter. Besides, she needs to get out of here and out of England. It isn't helping her."

"Legal adult or not, she is still my daughter and I have every right to be concerned about her," Lyssa said, "and that includes knowing where she's disappearing off to." Nicole looked at Lyssa. "Mum, she's right. England isn't helping me any. It has too many bad memories. I want to travel with Vena." Lyssa looked at her. "Fine, I won't argue with you about how I'd rather you stay close to home, because I've rather missed you. But only if you tell me where you disappeared off to just now." Nicole floundered for an answer again. She couldn't just up and tell her mum 'oh I went to jump off a bridge'. That would just freak her out. "I...It's complicated..." she tried to answer. Lyssa raised an eyebrow at her.

Vena looked at Lyssa. "She went to visit me," She said grabbing the first thing that popped into her head. "Just to talk about things and that." She somewhat doubted if Lyssa believed her.

Lyssa's eyebrow raised. "If I remember correctly, you showed up at the front door not too long ago to talk to her, and then now you two have walked through it together," she said. "Sorry, I apologize if I don't think your story lines up." Nicole bit her lip. This would get them nowhere, lying. "Fine," she said. "The truth is that I had gone off to the old bridge that isn't far from here, you know the one with the really fast river under it. And I had no intention on coming back home again. But then Vena showed up and here we are now..." Lyssa looked at Nicole for a moment, probably unable to think of anything to say. Nicole silently braced herself for an explosion once her mum had collected herself. Instead, Lyssa looked as if she were ready to cry. She pulled Nic close to her in a hug. "I had no idea you felt that bad," she muttered to the younger girl. "Go travel if you really think it will help you."

"Nicole, I'll be back here in half an hour. Be ready by then." She turned, walking out of the house.

Nicole nodded after Vena, smiled at her mum just a little and went upstairs to her room. She sort of wondered how she as going to carry her stuff around for traveling since she had given up on ever using magic again. If she had her way she wasn't going to pick up another wand as long as she lived.

Vena got her crap and went back to Nic's place. Happy?
