| Linnie Harland was sitting in Transfiguration bored out of her mind. This class never made since to her and she had just about given up on it. All she had to do was bomb her OWL and she was out of it anyway. She scribbled aimlessly on the page she was meant to be using for notes, scowling as the tip of her quill broke. "Stupid piece o' junk," she muttered, rummaging around for her spare.
She resumed her scribbling when she heard the professor saying something. "Miss Harland, would you care to answer the question."
Linn looked up from her page and shrugged shoulders. "Don't know the answer," she said, not bothering to state that she hadn't heard the question.

| Azura sat in Transfiguration, taking some notes. She didn't need to take much notes as she understood the unit they were taking, but thought that notes would probably help her study at a later stage. They gave her something to do, otherwise she'd end up zoning out. Which was when she missed things and got confused later.
Azy loved transfiguration, it was her favourite class. And the one she was best at. There was something about being able to turn one thing into something else, that she liked. The teacher called on some Gryffindor student who had no idea what the answer to the question was. It wasn't that hard. But Azy, supposed that the kid hadn't been listening to even hear the question let alone what the teacher had been saying to be able to answer it.

| The teacher frowned at Linn. "Did you even hear the question?" they asked, having called on her because it looked like she hadn't been listening in the first place.
"Nope," Linn replied. She didn't want to either. She wouldn't know the answer and would just make a fool of herself, again.
"Could you at least try in this class, Miss Harland? You're a smart girl, if your grades in your other classes mean anything."
"Wot if I don't wanna try?" she asked. "I don't get this stuff."
"Then I have no choice but to assign you a tutor. You need credit for this class to even graduate this school."

| Azy sighed as the teacher and the student conversed. While some of the time, trouble makers made class interesting. Now wasn't one of those times. She wondered who was going to assigned to the kid as a tutor. It didn't sound very fun, having to teach someone something that if they tried they could learn themselves. | |

| "I don't need no stupid tutor," Linn mumbled.
The teacher ignored her and surveyed the other students. "Miss DeRisiart," they said finally. "Would you mind helping Miss Harland out with her studies?" The tone with which it was said suggested there was no room for argument.

| Azura frowned softly at the teacher but nodded, though she didn't want to. She didn't come to school to teach others what they needed to know. She came to learn herself. She sighed somewhat, knowing that the teacher wouldn't care whether she wanted to or not. Though she thought that teacher should tutor the kid, it was her job. | |

| Linnie was about to say something to the teacher about how she didn't want nor need a tutor, but the teacher had gone back to teaching before she could. Linn sunk down into her seat and crossed her arms for the rest of class. | |

| Azy went back to taking notes as the teacher started to teach again. The bell rang sometime later, signilling the end of the class and the teacher call Azy and the other person up to her desk to talk to them. She waited until the other students had left before turning to the two of them. | |

| Linnie walked up to the desk when she would much rather be walking to dinner. She had a detention at seven and wanted to eat before that. Arms crossed across her chest and scowl on her face she looked at the professor, waiting for them to talk. | |

| "Miss Harland you need a tutor because you results in this class are abismal. Miss DeRisiart here is one of the top students in the class and I am sure she would have no problem is helping you with your studies." Azy frowned at the teacher again. | |

| "I already told you," Linnie said, temper trying to get the best of her, "I don't need no stupid tutor. 'm just fine on my own. 'm done with this subject next yea' anyway." She looked at the teacher, waiting for their response. | |

| "That is beside the point Miss Harland. While you are still in this class you need to go well. And transfiguration is a class that helps quite a lot of people with getting jobs. Even if the job isn't directly needed. It does help." | |

| "Do you want to end up with a crap life?" Azy asked her. "Because if you don't try, that's going to happen. You have endless reasons to try. So that you can support yourself when you finish school and can actually say that you graduated, and have a job. And are not just some idiot who couldn't be bothered trying." "Miss DeRisiart." The teacher said sternly. | |

| "Who are you to talk?" Linnie asked getting angry. "You don't know the first thing about my life. And you probably never will." She looked the girl up and down. "Nice clothes, nice appearance, speaking proper. You'll never understand my life." | |

| Azy looked at her. "Don't get angry at me," She said keeping her tone even. "I'm just saying, if you want to get anywhere in your life you are going to need to go well in school." She shrugged lightly. | |

| Azy was getting rather irritated at this conversation. But she was good at keeping her temper. "You don't try. That, is the problem." She looked at the teacher. "Professor, I have studying I need to do. Can't we discuss this later?" | |

| "You always have a choice," Azy said feeling rather irritated at the girl. "Professor, While I have nothing against helping her, I see no point in helping someone who does not wished to be helped." | |
