Year Ago Today

So there was some very odd time thing, and it transported five people in the past, turning them all seventeen in the process. They were taken back to the Era in which Harry was in his seventh year, apart from the fact that Harry isn't even in Hogwarts anymore. But that, is beside the point. There were in the great hall in the castle, people were entering the great hall for the start of term feast.

Vena blinked, staring around, twirling her wand about in her hand. What on earth had just happened. One moment she'd been on platform nine and three quarters the next in the great hall and she sure as hell had not apperated.

Laurie stared. From what it looked like she was at Hogwarts, but she couldn't be. She had just been about to get on the train. And as far as she was aware you didn't just appear there. She turned next to her, seeing Nic and was about to say something before she noticed that she looked older. Laurie then looked at herself. "What the hell?" She said. "We look like, seventeen or something?"

Severus was somewhat started to randomly appear. He glanced around seeing his sister, well she looked like his sister but older. "Hey sis," He said with a grin. Looking at himself and seeing that he too was older. "Wow.... okay,... this is weird. Aren't I meant to be like five? Not, however old I am now? Weird."

Nicole blinked and looked around. "This is wayyyy too weird," she breathed, looking absolutely stunned out of her wits. Then she looked at herself, looking older than she had a moment before. "Laur, what just happened?"

Natalie looked around, delicately wrinkling her nose in confusion. This was strange. She knew not one person in the room she was currently standing in and Nat knew EVERYONE. Then she spotted a familiar face, though not too familiar. Vena Riddle. Walking over, she asked, "Any clue what just happened?"

"I have no idea," Laurie said frowning. She was confused beyond belief having no idea what on earth had happened. From what it looked like they had gotten propelled forward in time, as they were older but that couldn't be it. She looked at Severus who looked about the same age as them, which could not work. Because he was six years younger. Which means they were all somehow the same age. "I don't get it." She murmered frowning. "Kinda cool though," Sev said. "It's like one of those movies in which everyone gets transported forward or back in time or something and we've been aged so we're allthe same age so it works better." "hrm," Laurie said.

"No idea," Vena said with a frown looking about. While they were at Hogwarts they weren't there in their time. Because Vena didn't recognize anyone, and while she didn't seem to pay much attention to the people around her, she did. "I think," She murmered quietly. "We've been transported in time, though whether forward or back I don't know."

"I don't like this..." Nicole muttered. "If we've really been transported in time things could get bad, especially since we don't know if we went forward or back. Any little thing we do could easily change things, because we aren't meant to even be here." She bit her lip in anxiety, wondering what they should do. It was obvious that students were showing up, but none of them knew where to go, even just to blend in. They hadn't been sorted in their time.

Nat frowned. "So what does that mean?" she asked looking around. "Oh, look, some more people looking just as confused as us." She had spotted Laurie, Nic, and Sev.

"Yeah.." Laurie said frowning and chewing on her lip. She had no idea what was going on, or how the hell it had happened. It was bizzare. Severus didn't see the problem, well he did, but he thought the fact that they had been transported in time was quite cool. "Hrmm," Vena said twirling her wand about in her hand. She glanced at the other people, she didn't know them but they looked about her age.

Nicole looked around for a moment. "I think we should pick the nicest looking teacher up there," she nodded toward the staff table, "and explain what's going on to them. Because, we look 17. They would know us if they'd taught us for 7 years, so they'll know we're not lying. Right?" She looked at the other two to make sure that she wasn't completely crazy.

"That makes sense," Laurie said with a nod. "But they may just think we snuck onto the train or something. But I guess it is worth a shot." She shrugged.

"Laur, what reason would we have to sneak on the train?" Nicole asked. "That's just silly. It's obvious we should go to this school, because last I checked none of us had a French or Bulgarian (or whatever it is) accent."

"Could be home schooled," Laurie replied. "Could have gone to one of the other wizarding schools, there isn't only Hogwarts, Durmstrang and Beauxbaton you know. But I get your point yeah."

"Must you shoot down all of my ideas, you crazy Ravenclaw wannabe," Nicole said with an eye roll. "Either way, we should talk to them, so that we don't keep standing here like idiots, which would just draw attention to us." She scanned the table. "I vote her," she said, pointing to a woman (obvious?).

Laurie nodded. "Okay." They were about to walk off when Vena and Nat walked over to them.

Nicole was all set to go figure this out when people walked over. "What?" she asked, noting that she vaguely knew one of the girls from some sort of pureblood thing her uncle had made her go to the year before when she was visiting him, which meant the two were from their time.

Vena looked at the other people. "Do you lot know what is going on?" She asked, not liking that she had no idea what was happening.

"No," Nicole said with a scowl, "we don't. But, we were going to find out before you just randomly walked over here." Some part of her was vaguely wondering if these people might know her older cousins, if they hadn't aged much like she and Laur and Sev had.

"Hm," Vena replied. "Well why don't we go figure out then?" She asked gesturing to the girls to show them to continue doing what they were about to go do before Vena and Nat walked over.

Nicole rolled her eyes at the girl, whose name she should probably learn just in case she needed it when explaining the situation. Because, she was going to be the one to explain it, as talking to a teacher had been her idea. So, as she turned and started to walk off she asked, "So, what's your name?"

"Vena Riddle," Vena said to the girl, as the group of them walked off heading towards a teacher. Vena didn't particularly like the idea of walking with them, but it was the only way for now, until things got worked out. "And you are?"

Nicole made a hm noise at the name before replying. "Nic Malfoy," she said, not wanting to bother with her full name for like the first time in her life. She actually quite liked her name; it was long and flowy and French.

Vena nodded. Malfoy, she knew a few Malfoys, both of whom were in her year. Vena hardly even acknolodged them though. Looking at the girl she wondered if she was a sibling to the Malfoys in her year, or some form of cousin. Vena glanced at the other people. "Laurie Evans," The girl said, looking at Vena for a moment, she then gestured to the boy next to her. "This is my younger brother Severus. Who looks the same age now. That is going to be so weird to get used to." The last part she was talking to herself.

Nicole sighed lightly, wondering just how this would all roll over as they walked up closer to the table, coming to a stop in front of the woman she had pointed at before. "Um," she muttered when she was met with a questioning look. Maybe she would just let someone else handle this. She turned her head to Vena.

Vena let out an amused smile at the Malfoy girl, who when faced with the teacher decided she no longer wanted to do it. The teacher was giving the group an odd look and Vena stepped forward to try and expain it. "This is going to sound somewhat odd," She said putting her wand in her pocket, athough it would make it's way to her hand the next moment. "But, as you would have gathered by now we are not from this time," it sounded stupid the moment it left Vena's mouth, but she ignored that fact. "We were at Platform nine and three quarters and then ended up here, and we have no idea how it happened, or really what happened."

"A-and," Nic said, stepping up as well, now that the awkward starting point had been made, "some of aren't the age we're supposed to be right now. I was born in 2010, I'm not meant to be 17 or whatever yet. I'm only meant to be almost 12!" She knew she probably sounded crazy, but she didn't care. She just wanted to get home to her mum.

Laurie nodded. "Same here," She said. "I'm not meant to be seventeen either and Sev," She gestured to her brother. "He's five, well meant to be at least. And I know this sounds crazy, but we're not lying."

McGonagall blinked as this odd group of what seemed to be students started saying all manners of odd things as her. "You say you were born in 2010, being 13 years from now?" she asked. At those words, Nicole's mouth dropped. "We're THIRTEEN years in the past?" she gasped.

"More the thirteen," Laurie said. "This is thirteen years before you were born, so like, twenty four or something like that?" She frowned somewhat. Vena rolled her eyes at the kid, doing the math. "That's wicked!" Severus exclaimed, earning him an eyeroll from Vena.
