In A Fight With The World

Cassie scowled, flouncing down on the couch. "Bugger her," She muttered grumpily crossing her arms.

Lyssa tumbled out of the fireplace at her chosen destination, and much to her surprise her mother was there already. Narcissa looked startled as Lyssa showed up out of nowhere without warning. "Mum," Lyss said, coughing from soot. She walked over to her mum, standing there, as Narcissa looked her over, fretting when she noticed Lyssa was somewhat thinner than last she'd seen her. It wasn't Lyssa's fault. Running from people had burned more calories than she'd been able to replace. "Mum! Calm down," Lyssa cried at Narcissa when she didn't cease. "I just came here to tell you that I'm okay, and not on the run anymore, and not to worry. And I have to go before Lucius finds me here. He banned me from the grounds." Narcissa frowned at this news. "We shall just have to see about that," she said, tone angry. "I will owl you once I've gotten him to change his mind about this matter. Where can I find you?" Lyssa shrugged. "I don't know. Likeliest places are my house in London, yes I bought a house, umm Cassie's house, or maybe Sam's house." She shrugged again and looked at the door when she heard footsteps. "I have to go." "Floo's over the fireplace." Lyssa nodded and grabbed some, saying where she wanted to go and stepping in just before Narcissa's study door opened.

Some moments later, Lyssa tumbled out back into Sam's living room.

"You need to stop doing that," Cassie grumbled at her. "How'd it go?" She asked.

"Stop doing what?" Lyssa asked, somewhat ignoring the question.

"Disapearing without waiting for me to say anything."

"Sorry, but that's the only way I can keep you from following me."

Cassie muttered under her breath.

"Mum's going to force Lucius to take back the ban he put on me, so maybe I can go home again."

"That's good," Cassie said.

"Yeah," Lyssa agreed. "It'd be nice to know where I'm going to stay."

And so sometime pasted, Lucius took the ban off and Lyssa was allowed to visit her house again. Which she did, sometimes. Cassie started living in her aunts place, selling the crappy little dump that she had lived in. Life settled back to about normal, well as normal as it ever was for Cassie and Lyssa.
