I'm Guessing You Can't Always Win

Regan turned her head to look at Lani. And than her eyes flickered to Taylor, narrowing.

Lani looked at Regan, biting her lip.

Regan gave Taylor a dark look and picked up the food.

Lani slightly hesitantly followed suit.

Taylor grinned and after half a minute started asking questions.

Lani's eyes narrowed after a moment of that and she demanded, "What did you do!?"

"Shouldn't trust everything you eat should you?" Tay asked with a grin and thought of another question.

"Well, it's that or starve..."

Regan's eyes narrowed and she scowled. Taylor grinned merrily at her.

"Honestly, this is a low move for the Order," Lani commented lazily.

"Desperate times bring desperate measures," Tay said with a shrug. "Anything else you know that I havn't asked about?"

"Maybe," Lani answered vaguely, since there could be things she's forgotten that she could only recall when prompted.

Taylor asked random questions, and got some more answers about things going on in DE HQ and stuff. "Thanks for your time," Tay said with a grin and walked out of the room humming.

Lani scowled after her, shouting a very obscene name that most people would slap her for saying.

Taylor heard Lani's shout before she shut the door. "Smart idea," Taylor said turning around, there was a glint in her eye that showed she was angry and her tone was just about always chipper even if she was angry. "Piss the girl off who right now is in charge of your fate. Bye now." And she pulled the door shut.

Lani's shoulder sank at Taylor's words. That did not sound good to her. At all.

Taylor went to find whoever was in charge to rely the info she learnt.

And so it was the next day.


Lani was slumped back against the wall, having been dizzy since waking up that morning, from her lack of her daily needs such as the vitamin she was supposed to have every morning at a set time.

Taylor had to bring the twins to the order HQ that day, as the baby-sitter had bunked out at the last moment. "You two behave," She said. "Or next time when Karrie bunks out I'll get Lisa to baby-sit." The children nodded, as they had not enjoyed the last time Lisa had baby-sat them. Taylor sighed making her way to where Lan and Reg were.

Lani's whose eyes had been closed opened them slightly as Taylor walked in.

"Good morning," Taylor said cheerily.

Lani did not return the greeting, instead just closing her eyes again.

"Someone's in a lovely mood," Tay said. Regan narrowed her eyes and Tay grinned at her.

"Of course," Lani commented, fighting a wave of dizziness from knocking her over.

"What's your problem?" Tay asked looking at her.
