Life Has Just Begun But Now I've Gone And Thrown It All Away

Ly bit her lip, watching Lucy and wondering for all purposeful reasons why she had to be the youngest, and therefore just had to be last in line.

Lucy stepped back in line, putting her wand in her pocket and looking away from the person she had cursed.

And so it became Lyall's turn to cast a spell. She had been thinking it over while she was waiting her turn and she knew exactly what spell she was going to try to achieve. Because, if she were in the place of one of the students being forced to go through this she'd want to be killed. She figured they felt the same way.

Lucy jolted somewhat at the green light coming out of the girl's wand.

Lyall looked directly at Voldemort and quirked her eyebrow slightly, small smirk playing on her lips. She knew that he hadn't expected her to succeed. She could just tell.

Lucy was quite surprised at Lyall as the girl stepped back into line.

And so Voldemort said something that sounded almost like congratulations for not failing, and then stated that they would be initiated that night. And then they were instructed to go with the Death Eater entourage from the hall to where they would be staying for the remainder of their time.

The group of new Death Eaters were at the Manor? It was only moments to the initiation. Lucy was somewhat nervous.

Lyall stood away from everyone else, casting disdainful looks around at the 'senior' Death Eaters. They actually had a choice to be there, or well they had when they joined up. She hadn't and she hated them even more for it. Ly felt that she shouldn't even be there. Her parents were muggles for crying out loud. This group killed muggles.

Lucy was standing next to Lyall. Her eyes flickering around the room, glancing at the occupants of it. She knew some of the people, students who had agreed to join Voldemort.

"Luce...I want to go back to the school," Lyall muttered quietly.

Luce nodded her head at Lyall, showing her agreement. But it was too late to back out now.

Lyall bit her lip as it seemed like the final preparations were just about done.

Lucy fiddled with her sleeve.

And then so things started.

And so Voldemort enteredthe room.

And gave a speech.

That mostly everyone listened to.

And then he started calling forth the new students who had joined in earlier that day, once again by age from the oldest.

Lucy watched, chewing on her gum.

And then it was the girls' turns.

Lucy stepped forward, holding her arm up feigning confidence. She wasn't going to show she was somewhat scared, even though it was pretty obvious that she was. Her arm burned as the mark was burned into the skin. She clenched her fist looking at it.

Lyall followed behind Lucy, mentally just like blocking everything out as much as she could. Fear and freaking out could wait until she was alone again, if she was ever alone again. She blocked it so much that she didn't even notice that mark being placed on her until it was over with and she was standing by Luce again.

Lucy ignored the burn in her arm, she wanted to douse it in cold water but she couldn't exactly do that right than. She would have to wait until she was alone.

Some time later, after some more talking and such, they were all dismissed to the rooms they had been given earlier that day.
