Cassie and Lyssa Alternate Ending 4

I scowled back. Why was I always the one getting taken hostage, I was fighting for what was right. Wasn't i? We called ourselves the good side but were we? We did what we thought was right, and so did they. Maybe we were both wrong? Maybe everyone had confused both sides, who knew which side was right, who knew which side was wrong, we could both be right or we could both be wrong. They kill people. Said a voice in my head. But so do we. Another voice bit back. They kill innocent people. The first one said feircly. I sighed and wanted to run a hand through my head. I was confused, to which side was right, my heart was telling me Dumbledore's but my head was telling me that they could both be right or wrong. I frowned, why was I even questioning this? I had been against the dark arts for seven years, I still was...but I wasn't sure which side was which. Good or bad? Dark or light? Were they just names or did they actually mean somthing.

I watched as she made a face that told me she was thinking.

"Well you're very deep in thought it seems," I noted. "Just what's on your mind now?"

I raised my eyebrow at her expectantly.

I raised my eyebrow in return. "Remind me why I would tell you?" I asked her bitterly. I frowned and bit my lip trying to push the thoughts out of my head, I didn't want to think about it. If I wasn't careful I'd could be somehow used against me, Which wasn't what I needed. Something else to make my life a heck of a lot confusinger.

I frowned at her in mock hurt. "I was just asking out natural curiosity," I said. "No need to be so bitter." I made a pouting face at her for a moment then went back to smirking. "You don't have to tell, but if anything I'll find out sooner rather than later. Now I have somewhere I need to be and something I need to do, so adieu."

With that I stood up from my chair and crossed the carpeted floor to the door, and with one last smirk over my shoulder I walked out.

"Yeah? And how exactly do you plan to find out?" I muttered to her retreting back and scowled. Weirdly enough, I prefered being in the cellar then stuck in a chair, I could at least move around while in th cellar, here I was stuck in a bleeding chair in the middle of a room. I scowled, the room swum slightly and I groaned, I hadn't eaten for at least more then a day. Starting to lose focus everything went black...

I sighed as I walked back up the stairs, that had been boring and overly unnecessary. I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration and wanted nothing more than to go to bed, but I supposed I had best check on Cassie first, make sure she hadn't somehow managed to break something while I was gone. Wouldn't put it passed her even tied to a chair. I opened the door and walked in to see her either unconscious or sleeping. I shook my head too tired to deal with it and left again, walking down the hall to my room. As soon as I was inside I flopped onto my bed and fell asleep, exhausted.

I came back into conciousness some time later. I was ravenous but couldn't do anything to stop that. I tried to think back in my head when the last time I had eaten was, I had no clue. I wasn't sure how long the war had gone, when I'd eaten before that and how long I had been at the Mannor. My eyes were full of sleep and I wanted to rub them but couldn't. I cursed in frustration.

I woke up in what seemed like too little time to the sun shining through my curtains. I sat up sleepily, noting I had slept in my clothes from the day before. Scowling, I got up and showered. Feeling much better after, and much more awake, I pulled my hair back from my face and into a ponytail then left my room to go see if Cassie was up. I walked in just in time to hear her curse.

"Having a pleasant morning?" I asked as I walked to open the curtains in that room.

"Oh go to hell." I snapped grumpily. I hadn't slept well at all, chairs were not comfortable, I was hungry and I wsn't sure how quickly that was going to change and I was being held hostage which really didn't help my mood. I streched as much as was possible being stuck to a chair and glowered.

"I'm taking that as a no then," I muttered as I opened the curtains, letting the sun in. I turned back to her and sat in my chair from the night before. "While I'm in a good mood, how about you tell me what's wrong and I'll see if I care enough to fix it." I smirked at her a bit.

I scowled at her again, the sun was bright and stung my eyes a tad. "What do you think?" I glowered. "I'm sore, I'm Hungry and Im a freaking Hostage. Tell me in what way is this nice for me?" I snapped tired of it all. I wished I was back at school, well maybe not this year but last year, before Dumbledore had died. What about befor fourth year when I didn't need to worry about a war raging outside my window?

I scrunched my nose for a moment at her tone. She was sounding rather ungrateful when I had asked her what was wrong and at the time I would have been willing to fix at least one of her problems. "Those all sound like horrible problems," I said, "but unfortunately for you your tone suggests you don't want them fixed. It rather sounded like you were complaining rather than simply telling me which is what I asked." I looked at her for a moment. "Say them again without snapping at me and I might still consider appeasing at least one of them."

I scowled at Lyssa. Stupid excuse for a person, there was no freaking way I was going to grovel at her feet. This was why the good side-our side (I still wasn't sure which was wich) was better if you were being hostage, we wouldn't freaking starve the hostee's. At least I wouldn't. I would have given Lyssa some food. If I could have crossed my arms I would have but I resorted to glaring at her.

I shrugged lightly when she didn't say anything. "Have it your way then," I said standing up. I walked to the doorway of the room and opening the door I walked out without another word. I walked down the stairs to the kitchens to get some food for myself. Then I walked back up to my room with it and just rested for a while, still tired. As I rested I thought some things over, like oh I don't know the huge change in my life that had occured the night before.

I kicked at the foot of the chair irritated. Weird the feeling of power did to you, you were usally in a goodish mood when you were the one in some form of charge but when that flips... I tried to ignor my hunger to no avail. I was sick of this war, sick of this house and sick of this freaking chair. Breifly I wondered where Voldemort was, I also wondered if Harry had killed him or if he had killed Harry, who had won the war? But then it's a die-die sitiuation, no-one ever wins in war. I smiled bitterly.

The day dragged on, and that night I slept restfully again. When I got up I did the same routine as the morning before, trying to get back into the swing of things. And then I went to see Cassie.

"My offer from yesterday still stands," I told her. "Say it calmly and without snapping and you get something."

I had to give in, I was litrally dying from starvation, stupid Gryffindor pride. Glowering at her I said as nicley as I could without snarling. "Can I have something to eat. Please?" I glared daggers at her.

I made a face for a moment. "Well since you said please," I responded. Then I pulled out my wand and waved it, vanishing her restraints. "Come on then," I said. "And don't even bother trying anything. You're wandless and there are enough Death Eaters in this house to more than stop you if you did anything anyway."

I was momenterially stunned by her letting me up, I stood up and streched. It felt nice to streach.

I scowled at nodded. "Whatever." I waved my hand in a random hand gesture.

I just ignored it and started to walk from the room.

We walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where there was already food made by the house elves.

"Have at it, but please do mind your manners," I said sitting at the small table that was there, since there was no point in using the dining room.

I glared at her made a face then sat down and grabed something. My stomache really wasn't ready for food but I ate anyway cause I would likley drop from Exhustion if I didn't.

"You know," I said leaning back on the chair. "I don't care that you're a freaking Death Eater. But what I do care about if that you're hurting people that are close to you, no I don't freaking mean me. I mean Draco." I watched for her reaction. "How does he think about this?" My eyes gleamed for the first time in a while.

I laughed quietly. "I forgot. You're a bit behind on things aren't you? Voldemort's dead, Harry killed him. Do you remember what that means?" I said, stopping myself from still laughing.

"And for your information I haven't seen nor heard from Draco since...Easter I think it was," I said with a slight frown.

I frowned. "That in it's self is a good and a bad thing, good thing is, Voldemort's dead, bad thing is there is another mad hatter who's going to try and take over the world." I bit my lip.

"Why not? Ok maybe he can be an annoying git, but he's alright if you think about it." I frowned again and looked at my old freind. Everything had been turned on it's head. She used to care for Draco but if she hasn't talked to him since easter....that infomation said that she no longer did.

"I'm not mad," I said, scowling. "Well not completely mad."

"And don't you think I would like to talk to him or see him?" I snapped with a glare. "You're juding things. I've been stuck in this house since right after you left! I haven't had to chance to see him! And as for writing him, haha funny. With Voldemort around I never had a moment's peace, and he very didn't want owls come in and out of here don't you think? It would attract the kind of attention he didn't want! So DON'T judge and automatically assume it's because I've stopped caring and don't say you didn't think that! It's plainly written on your face and in the way you defended him!"

"You know what? I don't bloody care." I snapped back. "You used to stick up for him-for me, whatever the freaking cost and didn't give a bleeding damn who says otherwise." I wished I could just turn on my foot and storm out of the room, which I couldn't. "I havn't got a clue what happened, but you got your priorities mixed up somewhere." I scowled and crossed my arms. "I am effing sick or fighting and war." I said to myself throwing my arms up in annoyance.
