Cassie and Lyssa Alternitive ending one for Alternitive ending Four.

We walked up through the grounds and into the school, it was still quite empty and I didn't like seeing Hogwarts empty it wasn't a nice feeling. I smiled when I saw Draco, he was pacing the hall and hadn't noticed us yet.

I smiled a bit when we got into the castle and saw Draco pacing back and forth. "Draco," I said, "stop before you break the floor or something with all the pacing around." He stopped and looked over at us.

I smiled slightly. He looked at me then Lyss than run over and hugged her. "How in Merlin's name did you manage to escape out of Askaban?" He asked her. I stood back to give the two some privacy.

Draco looked astounded for a moment before he came over and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back, though not as tight as he was hugging me. "Cassie is an amazing liar," I told him when the hug was over. "A really amazing liar," I looked over at her trying not to laugh at what I was about to say, "so much that she could've been a Slytherin." Then I laughed at such a ridiculous notion.

I laughed. "Yeah well I think I'm good with Gryffindor," I grinned brightly. Draco was still looking confused. "I lied to the ministy so that they thought Lyssa would have been under Imperio not by her own will."

Draco blinked at her for a second and I laughed more. "You should've heard her," I said to him. "It was like she had it rehearsed or something, when really she only had like ten minutes to think of it at all. And I was so scared they weren't going to buy it and that I was going to...." I stopped, the emotions I had been holding back since we left the building suddenly all rushing forward at once. A tear ran down my cheek, but I quickly brushed it away. "But that's all over with now. So let's just put it behind us." I nodded, mostly in a way to reassure myself that it was over.

Cassie winked. "That is where Drama comes in useful," She smiled. "COme on Lyss we should go find McGonagall about our N.E.W.Ts" The two girls left Draco there and made their way towards the headmistresses office. "I don't think I want to go back in there," Cassie muttered.

I nodded at her, while making a face that said I really didn't want to. "Yeah we should..." I muttered sulkily, even though it had been my idea. We walked up the stairs to the office and stopped just outside. I looked over at Cassie with a frown. "Well I could go get her..." I started but stopped when the statue in front moved and McGonagall appeared. "Or she could just show up."

"I like the last idea best," I said with a grin. "You are coming up anyway," She said smiling slightly. I groaned and followed her up, once in the room I looked straight at Dumbledore's portrait who was looking cheerful? "Ok Miss Evans, first things first, What is Merlin's name where you thinking?" "How would you like it if your best freind got sentanced to death in Askaban I had to try and do something, we're just lucky it worked really."

I followed them both up the stairs to the office, where I stood near the wall just beside the door, smirking when McGonagall's first question was about what Cassie had done, proving I was right when I guessed she would. "You're incredibly lucky. That was idiotic of you to do, despite your intentions,"McGonagall said. "Well," I said quietly, leaning back on the wall, "I, for one, am incredibly grateful that she decided to be idiotic."

"I'm a Gryffindor," I said with a laugh. "What else did you expect? anyway back to buisness, we want to take our N.E.W.Ts at the end of the summer holidays. We'll study non-stop if we need to."

I nodded in agreeance. "Since well, we need to take them, but we don't quite want to go through seventh year again to do so, ya know?" I continued on. McGonagall nodded at us. "I'll see what I can do about that."

"Thanks," I said and smiled at the professor."It will be weird to leave Hogwarts but I really don't want to come back." I looked around the office and made a slight face remembering the context of the year.

"Yeah," I agreed. "It's a great place but...there are some....bad memories floating around some places." I ran my hand through my hair. "If that's all, I think I'll be going then." I straightened from the wall and walked to the door opening it and stepping out.

"Yeah..." I muttered following Lyssa. "I'll get back to you when I know girls," McGonagalls voice floated back. We walked down the stairs. "Now what?" I asked Lyssa yawning slightly.

"I don't know...anything else that needs to be done?" I replied, yawning myself. "Or can we rest now, because I'm exhausted." I yawned again, as if to prove my statement. "Today has been...overly tiring."

The next few days were full of relaxing and McGonagall telling us our idea was possible, which was good. So that entire summer was mostly just studying, since we really did have a lot to cover in three months time or so instead of the length of a school year. But it was worth it in the end I guess, since we passed the NEWTS, or well mostly....
