Betrayal At Its Best

"Oh who am I kidding?" Cassie said, her mood changing suddenly. "I am going to go and show those Death Eaters that they are not messing with me, my freinds nor my school." She twirled her wand around in her hand for a moment standing up and glaring fiercly at nothing in particular.

"Good for you," Lyssa commented, leaning on the wall nearest her. "Doesn't change my mind however. I'm still giving up."

"Alright," Cassie said. "You sit there and mope I'm going to go and give a few Death Eaters a peice of my mind." and she turned on her foot to stalk down the hallway.

Lyssa looked after Cassie for a moment before calling after her, "I'm not bloody moping! And by the way, there aren't any Death Eaters in the school right now! He called them all out a while back!"

"Dammit there goes that plan." Cassie scowled slightly. She was in the mood to hex a few things, and Death Eaters would have made excellent targets.

And then suddenly there was an awkward feeling in the air. "So..." Lyssa muttered.

Cassie shrugged holding her wand firmly in her hand. She didn't really want to put it away as it kind of made her feel somewhat protected. Even if she wasn't the best with it. She sighed running a hand through her hair.

"Well, this is awkward, since we're not fighting, and I'm pretty sure w're not friends..." Lyssa muttered.

"Hrm, Yeah," Cassie said glancing at the floor awkwardly.

"So what does that make us?" Lyssa asked. "Because I think I'm done fighting with you, but at the same time friendship is a bit out of reach from the....er.....incident."

"Aquantinces?" Cassie suggested with a shrugg. Feeling somewhat awkward about the whole thing. She sighed kicking at the floor with her foot.

Lyssa shrugged, looking out the window. "Well, we can't very well stand here all night...."

"Maybe we should go downstairs?" Cassie suggested with a shrug. Ignoring the pounding in her head, she needed to get something for it.

Lyssa was about to say 'sure' when she remembered something. "I dunno..." she muttered, biting her lip.

Cassie shrugged. "Well Ihave no ideas." She said.

Lyssa thought for a second, coming up with no ideas either. "Let's go," she said, walking towards the stairs. "Nothing else to do."

The two girls made their way downstairs, Cassie a little a head of Lyssa. She was wondering how things were going to turn out.

Lyssa sighed as they walked down the stairs, wondering how things would turn out.

There wasn't really anyone around the school which Cassie found slightly odd. Though they found out that everyone was just about in the great hall. Before they entered the hall then Cassie heard a voice and turned around to see McGonagall who had her wand raised at Lyssa, who apparently couldn't actually move anymore.

Lyssa was slightly startled when she found herself unable to move anymore. Although, honestly, she wasn't on the best of terms with these people anymore. "Professor?" she said, discovering that she could still talk at least.

Professor McGonagall looked at Lyssa, her expression showing signs of disapointment and displeasure. "What are you doing here Miss Malfoy?" She asked her, her tone was hard and cold and Cassie did not think that her head of house had ever sounded so disapointed in someone.

Lyssa opened her mouth to respond, but couldn't think of anything that would possibly get her out of her current situation. "Er..." she muttered. "I don't really know. I'm just sort of lost I think."

Professor McGonagall's eyes narrowed as she looked at the girl. Cassie glanced from Lysa to McGonagall feeling slightly awkward. She ran a hand through her hair with a sigh wishing that her life didn't have any drama. Sure drama could make it interesting but most of the time it was just frustrating. "I'm rather disapointed in you Miss Malfoy, I would never have thought any of my students would do such a thing. Let alone you."

Lyssa looked down at the ground. "I..." She tried to think of something to say, but couldn't think of anything. So she settled for the one thing that probably wouldn't mean, but was worth saying anyway. "I'm sorry..."

McGonagall survayed her. "Sorry doesn't cut it Miss Malfoy, in all respects you are welcome to destroy your own life but you brought other's health and safety into the picture."
