Where The Feeling is Criminal

"Least your not dead." Taylor replied.

"While you have an excellent point, I'd rather not be confined to a room and pestered."

"Yeah well, you're not the only one and you don't always get what you want."

"I'll think it over. In the meantime, think of some useful, yet not crippling information to share, so that, in case I do agree, we can get out of this room."

Taylor sighed, leaning back on the wall. Which wasn't exactly comfortable.

The day did indeed seem long. At some point Lani had conjured up a book to read.

Taylor sighed shutting her eyes, she was exhusted and wanted to zone off to sleep. she did fall asleep sometime, bt she wasn't sure if it was just for a moment or if it wasfor longer

The day was coming to a close when Lani said, "So, thought of anything? Because I have my decision."

"Ummm," Taylor said with a slight frown. "It depends on your decision."

"I wouldn't have asked for the information if I hadn't planned to help you out of here. That would've been stupid of me."

Taylor disagreed but she said nothing, it would have been smart of her to use that as a way to get info without having to force it out of her. She didn't believe Lani though, forall she knew, that could be exactly what she was doing.

Lani shrugged. "Guess you don't want to leave that badly after all then," she said to Taylor's silence.

"I don't trust you that you will help me leave," Taylor said watching her. "Cause if I were you that is what I would do."

"Look, if you want to get home, you're going to have to work with me before I get too sick to help you," Lani said, frowning at the other girl. "Which will be soon, might I add."

Taylor looked at her. "That doens't give me a reason why I should trust you." She said. taylor wasn't about to give infomation if she didn't get what she wanted.

"Well then, it seems we have reached an impasse, since I can't help you without a way out of the room, and you don't trust me to keep my promise. Lovely," Lani muttered, giving a small cough.

"Well why would I trust you?" Taylor asked her raising an eyebrow. "You havn't shown yourself to be trustworthy enough for me to help."

"Anything I can do to change that?" Lani asked, tilting her head to the side.

Taylor shrugged. "I don't know."

The two girls then lapsed into silence, and night came and went, closing the momentary window of opportunity. When Lani woke up the next morning she felt miserable. She had obtained a cough, and a fever, and was dizzy upon standing (which she had discovered when she got up to get the food that was by the door).

Taylor was pretty sure that she wasn't going to last much longer if she was stuck in this room.

Lani leaned in the corner that the couch/bed occupied, eyes closed as she tried not to cough constantly. She honestly hated the fact that she got ill so easily and so quickly.

Taylor brought her knees into her chest, groaning slightly as she rested her head on her knees. She just wanted to get out of there and get home.

Lani was just sitting there when suddenly a thought came to her. "Tay," cough, "Taylor. If I removed the room divider," cough, "do you think you could try opening the door?"

Taylor looked up and shrugged. "I suppose so."
