"Sorry," Cassie said. "I dunno, I'm just, I dunno, maybe I'm tired. Studying too much or something."

"Maybe," Lyssa agreed with a small nod. "Or maybe you're just looking too far into a small slip of the tongue. I mean, I grew up around all that stuff, so it's bound to happen sometimes, isn't it?"

Cassie shrugged. "Maybe."

"Look, Cass," Lyss said sort of down at her feet, but not at the same time. "I'm sorry that I may have made it seem like I think I'm better than other people, just by saying some stuff. And, I swear it won't happen again. If it does, feel free to hit me over the head to knock some sense into me."

Another few days passed and the girl's were at Sam's having lunch.

Lyssa sat around the table with the others, having mostly not said a word the entire time she'd been there with Cassie, as she almost didn't seem to trust herself with what she would say right now.

"Pass the salt Liz," Cassie said. Lizzie grabbed it throwing it at Cassie. Which somewhat missed, landing on Lyssa's plate instead. "Ah, Sorry Lyss."

Lyssa frowned at the flying salt. "You should really watch what you're doing," she said, before adding more softly and to herself, "stupid Muggle..."

"Lyssa," Sam said sternly, it was a tone she hardly used. "Language." Cassie somewhat lightly but also not, whacked the girl over the head. "Hey!" Lizzie said scowling at her.

Lyssa blinked at Sam for a moment. "Language? But I haven't sworn any," she said, frowning.

Sam looked at her. "Lyssa, I say swearing is the same as degrading comments."

"Degrading comments?"

"You just called Liz a stupid muggle," Cassie said.

"And? It was quite an accurate comment for the moment."

"I'll throw the salt in your face," Lizzie muttered. "Stupid maybe yes, but there was no need to add Muggle to it." Sam said.

Lyssa frowned. "Well, last I checked, that's what she was, so excuse me for being accurate about it." She stopped for a moment. "I don't see why you guys are getting all upset at me, over nothing at that."

"It's unnessary," Sam said. "While it in itself it's offensive, your using it in an offensive tone, thus making it offensive that she is a muggle."

"Oh," Lyssa said lightly, looking out a window. "So, now you're saying that calling someone a Muggle is the same as calling someone a Mudblood?"

"Language," Sam said, her voice almost a snarl. Lizzie's brow furrowed, as she didn't understand the word, however Cassie scowled, clenching her fist to stop from thwacking something.

Lyssa raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong, Sam?" she asked. "Don't like the word Mudblood? Is it because you are one?"

"Lyssa!" Cassie said, shocked. Sam's eyes flared. "Lyssa," She said her jaw clenched. "Either controll your language or leave."

"I don't see what there is to be controlling. I'm just telling the truth is all."

Cassie's eyes flared, and she whacked Lyssa over the head again. Harder this time.

"Ow! What the fuck?" Lyssa said, rubbing the spot Cassie had hit.

"You insulted my mother, and I'm trying o whack some sense into you. As you said I could."
