"I thought we'd already done that," Sirius commented. "With the muggle police thing."

"That is true...but, we'd have to face my mother, unless Remus gave in and bailed us out. Which he might, it'd probably show that we need him too."

"That's not a good way to need someone, James. It'd seem more like we were just using him to save our asses rather than actually needing him around." Sirius frowned. "He bloody well knows that I need him."

"I know," James frowned. "I dunno Padfoot, I dunno how to make him see that we need him."

"I'm working on it..." Sirius muttered.

"Tell me if you get any ideas, and I'll see what I can think of."

"Yeah, alright."

He sighed, and flopped down on the couch in the room.

Sirius started to poke Remus in the side.

"Poking him won't wake him up, he'll be out for a few hours."

"But it's boring now," Sirius whined.

"I'm still here," James said. "I'm interesting."

Sirius gave James a look. "You are?"

"Yes I am," he muttered.

"Oh. I hadn't noticed on account of the fact that I'm currently bored."

"You're not very interesting yourself, you know."

"I'm more interesting than you."

"Not really."

"Um, yeah. I have to be. I'm the one that isn't single," Sirius replied with an impish smirk.

"That doesn't make you more interesting."

"Sure it does. I have to interest Remus in some way after all."

"Good for you."

"Wanna go play one-on-one Quidditch while Remus sleeps?" Sirius asked, even though he was rubbish at Quidditch. "Petey-boy can ref."

James brightened. "Sounds like an excellent plan."

"Thought you'd like that," Sirius muttered to himself, moving to get off the bed. "Let's go outside then, shall we?"
