Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

When the pain stopped I was a tad dazed. That wasn't fun...

I could only manage to push myself up on my elbows. Anything higher was not happening. Then I heard Cass yelling at Snape. "Cassie," I called, "stop. Enough is enough for now. Don't make it any worse."

"Smart move Malfoy." Snape leered. I scowled at him.

"Can't the little Death Eater take it?" A Carrow leered.

I stood their dazed. He most certenetly wasn't refering to me. I turned to Lyssa.

"Lyssa?"

"Shut your mouth, Carrow!" I yelled/snapped at him.

"It's nothing Cass..."

The female Carrow walked over to me and asked, "If it's nothing then what's this?" Then she pulled back my left sleeve. I tried to pull my arm away from her but Cassie had already seen the mark that was there.

I stared at her arm then back at Lyss.

"So she hadn't told her freind." Snape jeered.

I ignored him. "Why didnt you tell me?" I asked. Hurt that she hadnt confinded in me.

"It's not something I'd exactly talk about now is it!" I yelled, feeling angry, more at myself than her.

"Besides, how the hell would I even bring it up!" I continued. "It's not like I could just waltz right up to you and say 'Hey Cass, hope you had a great summer. My was fine except that I was forced to be branded like one of Voldemort's followers'! Now could I!"

I bit down on my lip a tear escaping.

"Then what are freinds for?" I shouted back. "You can trust me Lyss. You know that." My voice trailed off.

"Sorry to break up this lovley conversation." Snape said not sounding sorry at all.

"Oh shut up." I roared at Snape. "Shut up, Shut up, Shut up."

"Just shut it for once Snape!" I snarled, the famous Malfoy glare crossing my face.

Then it softened when I looked at Cass as I jerked my arm free.

"Can't you imagine how scared I was that I would lose you as a friend if I told you. If you took it the wrong way. You're my best friend. I didn't want to jeopardize that."

"How could I take it the wrong way?" I asked her in disbelief. "Ive known you since we both started and I've known you've been against the Dark Arts since around then too."

Snape opened his mouth to say something again and I turned and glowered at him. "Why dont you do something useful and shut up for once?"

"I will not get told to shut up by a student Miss Evans. Let alone in my own office."

"Yours office be damned." I muttered back. "This will be your office when hell freazes over."

"Cass, seriously stop. We've done enough damage....for now. Don't do anymore," I said, hoping to keep the pleading tone from my voice.

I had managed to push myself up on more than my elbows, and then stood up. I ran my hand through my hand, a nervous habit of mine, and sighed.

"Can we just go now?"

I nodded but continued glowering at Snape who smiled vicously.

I was hit again by the torture curse and fell onto the carpetin pain. "You basted."I managed to say keeping my mouth firmly shut so no screams escaped.

"So she thinks she's tough does she." The Carrow cackled. "Lets see how she copes when her freind is getting totured." Carrow rellised me from the spell and went to hit Lyssa with it. I dived with all the strenth I could manage and pushed her out of the way getting hit instead.

I gave a little squeak as I was pushed. "Cassie!"

Then I turned to the other Carrow who was smirking. "You're friend isn't too bright is she?" they asked.

"Don't talk about her like that!" I shouted. "You're no brighter yourself! In fact she's ten no a hundred times brighter than you because she would never join some idiot who thinks he can take over the whole bloody world!"

I bit my lip the pain was overwhelming, I couldn't concertrat and everything was spinning around me.

"How dare you Malfoy." The Carrow cackles.

I didn't hear a retort I heard nothing. I'd blacked out.

I swore out loud when the pain started.

I looked over at Cass but she was unconscious. Although I was in pain, I was still standing on my feet. I looked back at Carrow.

"You're not going to win this," I commented, gritting my teeth.

I was dreaming that I was killing Snape the I came back to the not so pleasent reality with a pounding head.

"Severus." A voice said. I sat up blearily and saw that Dumbledore had talked, good old Dumbledore.

"Enough." Snape said to the Carrow. "Return to your dorms now." Snape barked.

I really felt like snapping back at him but it probably wasn't smart.

I was surprisingly still standing when it stopped.

I gave Dumbledore's portrait a thankful look.

"C'mon Cass," I said, grasping her arm lightly.

"Yea K." I said letting her lead my out of the office. To my complete annoyance Malfoy was there I made a face and scowled then fell over again as my knees buckled. I heard the door shut behind me.

"Are you completly insane?" I heard Malfoy ask Lyss as I shakily got back to my feet. "Ok you don't like Snape but seriously?"

"I'm not insane at all," I muttered, brushing away Draco's hands as he tried to make sure I was alright. "Would you stop! I'm fine!"

Then my knees almost gave out like Cassie's had and Draco caught me. "You're not fine. What the hell did they do to you in there?"

"You don't want to know. And I am fine!" I said, then snapped.

I stood up again and glowered at Malfoy. My head spinning.

"Come on Lyss, we should get to the dorm." I said trying to walk steadily and failing,

Malfoy stood in front of us. "You are not going anywhere untill I hear what happened."

I glowered at Malfoy again. "Which part Malfoy? The part where we totally owned Snape? Or the part where his made freinds hexed us?" I snapped.

"Wait what?" Draco asked.

"Look I'll explain it to you tomorrow. Can we just go please?" I asked.

I wasn't feeling up to standing around and talking right now. I just wanted to rest.

Draco finally let us go swearing that he was going to find out tomorrow at breakfast.

We walked up the fat lady then realised we didn;t know the password.

"Ahh..." I muttered, The fat lady smiled and swung open.

"Ill let you in this time.:

"That was bloody brilliant." Semus finagin roared when hesaw us.

"Dude shut up. I wanna go to bed." I said walking up to the girls dormitory and pulling Lyss with me.

"Thanks Cass," I muttered, rolling my eyes at Seamus.

Once we made it to the dorm I collapsed on my bed, not bothering to get in my pajamas.

"I'm going to sleep. Night."

"Night." I muttered before falling onto my bed.

I feel alseep quickly.

I awoke to the sound of my dormmates moving around the dorm.

"Morning Lyssa." I muttered sitting up.

"Morning Cass," I replied while getting ready, wincing every now and then from some lingering pain..

Damn those Carrows and Snape to hell. I'd imagine that Cassie wasn't doing any better than I was, her having gotten it harsher than I did, if memory serves me correctly. I wasn't looking forward to telling Draco.

"Woah Headrush." I complained as I stood up and the room spun. I sighed. Snape and the Carrows could siriously go to hell. Stupid bloody Death Eaters. I scowled. As soon I was dressed I looked over to Lyss.

"Ready?"

"Yes I suppose," I muttered, straightning a bit of my robes.

Then I looked at her.

"I'm not looking forward to telling Draco. He's gonna flip."
