Cassie and Lyssa Alternate Ending 3

I followed Cassie to the edge of the pool, getting out myself. We put our normal clothes over our swimsuits, not caring if they got wet and left where the pool was.

I pulled my fingers through my hair as we walked up to Lyssa's bedroom.

The house was still oddly quiet and I wondered where everyone was.

"It's quiet." I muttered,

"It's always quiet," I muttered, frowning as I noticed the door to the drawing room was open. I had closed it when we were going by the get in the pool.

Shaking my head I decided to ignore it.

"I dont like the quiet." I muttered as we went up the stairs.

"It's errie, Is anyone even here? Or is it just us and Voldemort?"

I sighed.

"I don't like it either, but after a while you get used to it I suppose," I replied as we went up the stairs. "Also, last I checked, my parents were nowhere to be seen, so yeah I guess we are the only people here, unless someone shows up."

We went to my room and I got my wand out of the drawer in the table by my bed. "Alright, now that that's settled..."

"Yeah..." I muttered frowning slightly. "I wonder whats up."

I sat down on the floor again yawning.

I shrugged and sat on my bed.

"You know," I said, breaking the silence that had decended, "this is rather weird, sitting here like this. It's like holidays, only completely different."

"Yeah it does abit, though I think I prefered Holidays, didn't need to worry about a madman ruining my swimming."

"You know what I just realised, we won't be going back to Hogwarts again, cause it was our seventh year." I frowned at the thought, Hogwarts had been like a second home to me.

I frowned sadly. "We won't will we?" I sighed. "This year is just shot all to hell and back."

I leaned back on the headboard, my head hitting it rather hard, but that was on purpose. What wasn't on purpose was my elbow hitting it, hard as well. "Ow!"

I laughed at Lyssa as she hit her elbow on the headboard.

"Nice going." I smiled at her.

I started humming quietly.

"Oh shut it," I snapped. "It really hurt."

I crossed my arms and glared at the wall in front of me.

I raised my eyebrow. "Ok Sorry."

I had to refrain from rolling my eyes, her mood was swinging, one minute she'd be happy the next she wouldn't. Sort of likewhich isde she was on. Right now I didn't have a clue.

I sighed while rubbing my hurting elbow, arms still crossed, a frown on my face.

"Dear Merlin someone just kill me now," I muttered. Feeling Cassie staring at me I looked at her. She was giving me a questioning look as to why I had said that, so I answered. "I'm fed up with everything ok? I haven't got a clue what I'm doing anymore, or anything. It's all just caught up with me now that I've had time to relax."

I ran my hand through my hair and looked away from her.

"I havn't got a clue what I'm doing either," I muttered. and I'm dead set of which side I'm on.

I sighed and leaned back against the wall.

"Everythings just gone full speed ahead leaving us ten spaces behind." I murmered.

I sighed and frowned.

"I've gone and ruined the good mood haven't I?" I said bitterly. "I'm always ruining things. It'd be just one more thing, not surprising at all."

I frowned slightly. "Dont worry about it, we all have our days,"

I shrugged slightly. "Well...er...now what?"

"Um..." I said making a face.

Running my hand through my hair yet again I said, "I think we should talk some stuff over to be honest, because I haven't acted like this in weeks, months even."

I nodded. "Ok, sure."

I got up and sat down on the bed next to her.

"Want to start?"

"Well I suppose I should since it was my idea and all, huh?" I said.

"Ok then, by now I'm sure you've deduced that I'm an odd freak that can't make up her mind on anything haven't you? Well...to be honest I blame you."

"But you're an awesome odd freak." I smiled the corner of my mouth turning up into a smile.

"But yeah, I am slightly confused, you change your mind so suddenly."

I sighed,

"I'm not awesome," I muttered so quietly she couldn't hear.

"Ah," I said looking at her, "and that's where you come in. From what I can gather, due to our friendship or if we don't even have that anymore whatever friendship we used to have, my heart overpowers my brain when you're around, though it takes a while sometimes. Does that make sense?"

I smiled brightly. "Well thats good to know, eminds me of something Dumbledore would say. About love being the great magic..." I trailed off and looked back up at her.

"But I suppise he's right in a way."

I shrugged a bit.

"Well that explains that. Anything else you'd like to know?" I said. "Since really I don't need to ask you anything, well other than why the hell don't you hate me?"

I smiled. "Because for somewhat the same reason, I still loved you, though why I dont know."

I shrugged. "Maybe cause you've been my freind sincefirst year. dunno."

"Well that's..."

I felt my eyes prick and turned away from her, wiping my palms across my eyes.

"After all that I've done to you and...." I trailed off.
