Cassie and Lyssa Alternate Ending 3

I grinned and started doing laps up and down the pool. I liked the feeling of being surronded in water, as if gravity didn't exist, because the water pulled you up not down. I pulled myself up onto the edge of pool my feet dangling in the water.

I laughed at Cassie from where I was still lounging.

"Have fun there Cass?" I called to her, since she was a distance away.

And just for a moment I wondered when the last time I'd smiled like this was. Then I dismissed the thought. It was too pessimistic for right now.

"Yeah." I shouted back and stood up on the edge of the pool and dived in, or well half dived in, I had never really been able to dive but I could do it well enough. I swum under water for abit then came back up in the middle of the pool coughing on water from when I was under. I had to relax myself for a few seconds before I could breath again. I smiled.

I watched as Cassie went under water again, and just before she came back up I ducked under and swam in her direction. Then after a moment I came up right beside her. "Hello!" I said cheerily, making her start since I was behind her.

I spazzed, gulped in a moutful of water and spat half of it out.

"Merlin Lyssa." I said half tackling her underwater. "Do not do that again, you'll scare me to death."

With a laugh I swam backwards from her.

"Sorry," I said through my laughter, "but your face was hilarious."

I pushed my hair from my face again, and giving up on it, and knowing I would regret it later, I pulled it up with the wet hair tie that was on my wrist.

"So was yours when I pulled you in." I made a face as she pulled her hair up.

"Have fun pulling that out." I muttered pushing my soden hair behind my ears. "Not fun."

I attempted to do an underwater handstand falling over a few seconds after I started.

When Cassie recovered from her underwater handstand I laughed and said, "That was pitiful."

Then I did my own handstand, and didn't fall over, ending it in a backflip.

Once I came back up I looked at her, "That was how you do a handstand."

"Oh show off." I complained but said it jokingly. I splashed water in her face.

I froze when I glanced behind her.

"Crap." I muttered under my breath.

Lyssa looked at my oddly.

"Turn around." I mouthed wincing slightly.

I was about to laugh and splash her back when she froze. When she mouthed 'turn around', I had gathered a guess at who was there.

Slowly I looked over my shoulder, biting the inside of my lip as I did so.

"What are you doing?" Voldemort asked.

I rolled my eyes. Isn't it obvious we were swimming, doesn't take a rocket scientist to work it out.

"Well I did say it was rather boring around," I said, turning around all the way, "so we're doing something that isn't boring now aren't we?"

I was still biting my lip.

I ducked under water to stop myself laughing outright, choked on water again and had a coughing fit when I came back up.

I pushed my hair behind my ears again wondering what Voldemort was going to do.

I looked over at Cassie who was having a coughing fit.

"Are you ok?" I asked, forgetting for a moment who else was in the room.

Once she stopped coughing she nodded.

I nodded. "Yeah I'm fine, happens all the time when I laugh while under water." I winked at her. It reminded me of the beginign feast when we were ignoring Snape as he tried to gain everyone's attension. I just ignored Voldemort as if he wasn't there.

"Well I suppose that only makes sense," I said with a raised eyebrow.

I pushed some stray hairs that hadn't made it into the ponytail behind my ears.

"Why would you even laugh underwater? If that happens, it can't be same...."

"Well it seemed quite a awkward moment to laugh above water so..." I grinned at her. I could litrally feelthe annoyance radiating from Voldemort at being ignored.

"Will-" Voldemort started.'

"No." I muttered under my breath just loud enough for Lyssa to hear.

I bit back a laugh, managing to make it into a smile instead.

But despite that I was still sort of tense.

Voldemort didn't take being ignored very well.

"SILENCE." Voldemort shouted.

I turned to look at him.

"Sorry didn't see you there."

I nearly started coughing from the sharp breath I had taken when his shout echoed around. Oh dear. He was pissed.

"Cassie," I muttered quietly, "now is so not the time."

"It's never been the time." I whispered back. "And it never will be."

I looked up at Voldemort wondering what he was going to do.

He looked absulutly furious.

"Cassie, seriously, shut up unless you want to end up dead, because he looks on the verge of murder right now," I whispered, which probably wasn't helping the situation any.

Mentally I shouted at myself for leaving my wand in my room, just in case I would need it now.

"Ok, Ok, Im shutting up." I muttered.

with a action that greatly surpirsed me...

Voldemort turned aroundwith a huff and walked off.

I knew that I looked confused, and I was.

"What the hell was that?" I asked.

I was more than a little worried now.

"Cassie," I said looking at her. "Do you think it would be a good idea for me to get my wand from my room? Just in case he comes back or something?"

"I have no clue."

I frowned watching where Voldemort had gone.

"Good idea." I swam to the edge of the pool and pulled myself out.
