Cassie and Lyssa whatever number it is now. (on hold)

Cassie twitched violently from the after effects of the cruciatus curse. Breathing heavily she stood up shakily glaring at Snape, if looks could kill he'd be dead. "You absolute Monster," She snarled. "What kind of Headmaster purposly harms their students and doens't do anything to stop it?" She shuddered again and winced her mind reeling. "You're a corward Professor." She said quietly with a deathly gleam in her eye.

Eventually they got to leave the office and make their way up to the common room, having missed the whole of dinner. Lyssa fell back on the couch, in the almost empty room. Most everyone else had already gone to bed since tomorrow was the first day of classes. She stared into the fireplace, noting when the couch shifted slightly, signaling that Cassie had sat at the other end of it.

Cassie sighed and flopped down on the edge of the couch, she winced ever so softly and flicked her hair out of her face. "Git," She spat venomously, she scowled softly and glanced at her freind. "Are you okay Lyss?" She asked with a small frown creeping up the edge of her face. Cassie looked around the common room. They were the only ones in here, everyone else supposedly had already gone to bed, or they were still at the feast but Cassie guessed it was the former.

Lyssa looked over at Cassie when she asked how she was. "I'm...I don't know," she replied, looking back at the fire. She ran her hand through her hair, messing up her bangs, as she leaned back on the couch with a sigh.

Cassie bit her lip and frowned, she shifted on the couch so she was closer to Lyssa. "Whats up?" She asked. "And don't say nothing cause I know there's something." Cassie yawned softly and looked at the fire that was slowly dying, it was no use relighting it though as they were probably about to go to bed anyway.

Lyssa frowned at her. "It is nothing," she said, not looking at Cassie, because she knew if she did her friend would know she was lying, not that she probably didn't know that already anyway. With a sigh Lyss went on. "Fine. It's something, but I don't really want to talk about it."

Cassie frowned slightly. "Okay then." She wouldn't press it if Lyssa didn't want to tell her but she wished her freind would. "But if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. The year hadn't exactly started fantabulously, she hadn't wanted Snape to be headmaster because she dispised the annoying git now she had an actual reason to not want him as Headmaster. What sort of headmaster, what sort of teacher treated students like that?

Lyssa nodded. "Yeah, I know you are..." she said quietly with a yawn. She stretched with another yawn. Standing up she looked at Cassie. "I'm gonna head to bed." She walked up to the dorm room and lay down on her bed after changing into her pajamas. Lyssa lay there for a while just thinking about what had happened that summer, about what was bothering her, and about what she would tell Cassie when the time came, before she fell asleep.

"Night Lyss." Cassie sat staring into the dying embers before getting up and walking up to bed frowning. She trusted Lyssa to tell her when she was up to it, so she dicided not to push it out of her. Cassie got into bed and turned on her side trying to push all her thoughts out of her mind so that she could sleep. Frowning she sat up and looked at the other beds. One of them was empty. "Where's Hermione?" Cassie wondered with a small frown before concluding she and Ron were probably with Harry doing whatever it was Harry did.

Lyssa tossed and turned lightly in her bed, brow furrowing. Her eyes opened back up again and she sighed. This was going to eat away at her until she told someone about it. She sat up with a frown and looked over at Cassie's bed. She was sleeping, but she had said she would be there if Lyss ever wanted to talk about it. Lyssa got up from her bed and went over to Cass's. She shook her friend's shoulder, waking her up. "Sorry for waking you up but, do you still want to know what's up?" she asked once Cassie opened her eyes to look at her.

Cassie yawned and was shaken away by an unknown force. Once her eyes focused she noticed that it was Lyssa. Yawning the Gryffindor rubbed her eyes and sat up waiting for her eyes to come more focused in the dark. She nodded at her freind. "I do." She yawned again and rubbed her eyes. "Whenever your ready."

"Well that's now, I suppose," Lyssa replied, "because I won't be able to sleep if I don't. Already woke me up." Lyssa bit her lip for a moment. She looked around at their sleeping dormmates. "Not here," she muttered. "I don't want the chance someone wakes up and hears. RoR?"

"Okay," Cassie nodded and swung out of bed, she grabbed her robes and put them on on top of her Pjs. Cassie looked around for a few seconds wondering where she put her wand before finding it on the floor next to her bed side table. "Ready?" She asked Lyssa.

Lyssa sat on Cassie's bed while Cassie looked around for her wand. "Ready?" she had asked. "As I'll ever be..." Lyssa mumbled standing up. They left the common room and sneaked along the corridor to the RoR. Once inside they found just a small, comfortable feeling room with a couple of soft looking chairs. They each sat down in one. Lyssa looked at her feet. "Where do I even start..." she wondered aloud running her hand through her hair with a sigh.

The girls walked to the room of Requirement and sat down. Cassie watched Lyssa a frown still marred her face. "At the begining?" Cassie suggested even though it probably wans't a very helpful suggestion.

Lyssa gave her a shrug. "That would be best I suppose..." she muttered, then she looked up. "I'm sure you recall last year, what Draco had to do. And I'm also sure you know how it turned out. Well, we all knew that- that Voldemort wouldn't just let it slide by, so he decided to hurt Draco in one of the worst possible ways." She stopped for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "Cass, he..." her voice had dropped to a whisper.

Cassie listened to what Lyssa was saying, she was frowning trying to peice the peices together. What would Voldemort do that would hurt Draco? Something that would also harm Lyssa. She looked okay, but that was only physically, mentally she wasn't sure. She watched as Lyssa unconsciously rubbed her left arm. "Shit," She muttered her eyes ablaze with fury. "He branded you didn't he?" She asked in a whisper. "Oh Lyssa." She hugged her freind tightly.

All Lyssa could do was nod as Cassie gave her a tight hug. She felt like crying, both because she hated what had happened, and because it somehow felt good that Cassie knew. When Cassie finally let go, Lyss tucked her bangs behind her ear. "And now you know," she mumbled softly.

Cassie let go of Lyssa and took a step back. She wanted to say something but was at a loss for what to say. "I'm so sorry." She whispered subconiously bit her lip. "Thanks for telling me Lyss." She attemped a smile that failed and disapeared a few seconds later. "Should we get back to bed?"

"I wouldn't just not tell you," she replied. Then Lyss frowned with a sigh. "I don't think I'll be able to get back to sleep any time soon really," she said, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them, looking at the fireplace that was in the room.

The two girls stayed there for a little longer then retiered back to their beds yawning heavily. Cassie fell asleep quite quickly considering all that she was thinking about, Lyssa, Snape, what Harry Ron and Hermione were doing, how this year was going to be different then others and it was going to be different, with Snape headmaster he had a different way to run things than Dumbledore had. Snape was the first Slytherin headmaster in however long and she had a feeling the only one's who would benifiet from Snape being headmaster was the Slytherins because he favoured them and half of them didn't like Dumbledore anyway. Well more then half.

Lyssa lay in her bed. Even though she was extremely tired she couldn't get to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time, because now every time she closed her eyes she would have a dream-flashback that woke her up again. When the sun started to rise she got up and watched it from the window.

Cassie awoke suddenly the next morning and peered at Lyssa's bed, she wasn't in it but was sitting by the window watching the sun. "You okay?" She asked her softly pushing her hair behind her ears and yawning softly. The rest of the dorm started to wake and Cassie still yawning walked over to her trunk and put on her uniform wondering what class she had first.

Lyssa looked away from the window when she heard Cassie. She shook her head softly and turned back to the window. Once the others started waking up, Lyssa figured it was time to get ready for classes, so she did, even though she didn't really want to go at all.

The two girls walked down to breakfast silently, Cassie sighed and grabbed a peice of toast chewing on the corner of it before finding the butter and a knife and buttering it, she got slightly distracted thinking that if she put Jam on her toast would you call it Jamming or just say I put Jam on my toast. Rolling her eyes at herself Cassie poured herself a glass of milk and drained it swiftly. Her mind went back to her freind, what Lyssa needed was a distraction from thinking about the mark but Cassie couldn't think of anything to distract her with.
