Cassie and Lyssa whatever number it is now. (on hold)

"We do have manners," Cassie said with a slight eyeroll. "We did apologise for coming late to class, we did apologise when we first walked in here for wasting you time."

Lyssa nodded in agreement. "Honestly, professor, you're not being very open to what we're saying. Nor are you listening to it. We've been polite this whole time," she said, trying to sound as innocent as she possibly could.

Snape glowered at the two Gryffindors in frustration. There was something about Gryffindors that he just could not stand and these two were pushing his patience to breaking point. "Fine," He said. "Get back to class and do not be late again or I will give a Detension for being continueously late for class."

Lyssa nodded at him. "You got it professor," she said, turning to leave the office.

Cassie nodded. "We should go before we waste more of the headmasters time." She said with a pleasent smile which turned into an eyeroll as she turned away from the headmaster and out of the office.

The two girls walked down the steps chatting. "I don't see the point in going back to that class," Lyssa said. "It's nearly over."

"Yeah," Cassie said with a frown. "May as well slowly make our way over to Transfiguration which I think is next..." Cassie pulled her timetable out of her bag to check. "Yep." She said with a nodd. "it is."

"Yeah," Lyssa agreed. "And hopefully McGonagall hasn't heard a word of what's happened by the time we get there. Or else she'll get on to us for it." The Malfoy sighed.

"Yeah and then we'll get another lecture on some crap." Cassie sighed under her breath. "Teachers honestly." She said. "We know what we're doing, we accept the consequences so they can jsut shut up about it."

"They think it's what's best for us, I guess," Lyssa muttered just as they reached the classroom door. At that second the bell releasing the class before rang.

Cassie and Lyssa waited by the door for the students in the class to walk out before they entered the classroom. "You two got here quick," McGonagall said without looking up from what she was writing.

Lyssa just shrugged at her professor. "We were already outside the room when the bell rang a minute or so ago," she said nonchalantly.

"Why weren't you two in class?" She asked them.

"Well...er...you see..." Lyssa muttered out, not wanting to tell Professor McGonagall, but she'd backed herself in to a corner that she probably couldn't get out of unless she told.

Professor McGonagall looked at the two girls with her eyebrow raised. "Well you see..." Cassie said trying to figure out a way to stall and not finding one. "We were a little late for class and even though we had apologised for being late the idiot of a Carrow carted us off to see the Headmaster which just wasted more time then we wasted by being late to class."

McGonagall looked skeptical. "Really professor," Lyssa said to reenforce what Cassie was saying. "And it's not like we were late on purpose..."

Cassie and Lyssa were spared from furthur conversation as the rest of the class appeared and took their seats.

"I want to talk to you two after class," McGonagall said as she walked to the front of the room to begin the lesson.

Cassie sighed and made a face at her retreating back. "Jesus,"She muttered to Lyssa.

Lyssa frowned. "She's going to lecture us like mad..." she muttered.

"Sounds like fun," Cassie muttered with a sigh getting out her book and parchment and quill, as it was going to be a theory lesson.

Lyssa smiled sarcastically, and got ready to take notes as well.

The class kinda sped past unfortunatly, and once the classroom was empty Cassie and Lyssa found themselves standing in front of Professor McGonagall.

Lyssa bit her bottom lip as she and Cassie stood in front of their teacher. "So..."she said after they were all quiet for a moment, "what did you want to talk about professor?"

Professor McGonagall sighed looking at both the girls. "As an Order member I couldn't be more proud of the two of you for standing up in what you believe in but as your head of house I am intitled to protect you even if you twothink you can protect yourselves, you're under my care."
