Some Things Are Easier Said Then Done

Lyssa walked off to go take her potion, frowning the entire way. Once that was handled she went on to breakfast, deciding that she wanted to eat cereal.

Cassie finished off her waffles when Lsssa walked into the hall.

Lyssa spotted Cassie at the table, and walked over to sit next to her, grabbing some cereal. As she took a bite, Lyssa made a face as the cereal taste mixed with the potion taste. "This sucks," she commented. "I don't want to take some stupid potion every day."

"Maybe after a while the potion will counterbalance," She wondered if that was the right word. "What the illness is dong and you won't need to take it all the time. Like when you have a cold, you only need to take medicine while you have the cold and then you get better. Though I don't suppose youd taken medicine for a cold wouild you? Probably just magic it awya. I don't know." Cassie shrugged.

"You mean like before when the Malfoy-ness was getting less and less over time?" Lyssa asked. "Because, even so, that would take a while. That stupid hospital completely screwed all that up. You noticed how frequent it was there."

Cassie frowned at that. "Stupid hospital." She muttered with a sigh. The two girls got up to make their way to potion, hoping Snape wasn't going to bucket them with homework. But like that was going to happen.

The two girls walked in the potions room, sitting in the same spot they always sat before the whole escapade. Snape came in a few moments later, after everyone had shown up, to start the class. As he looked around at his studentes he said, "Well well well, look who has finally decided to grace us with their presences. Miss Malfoy and Miss Evans, welcome back to class."

Cassie rolled her eyes at him, Snape really was a pain sometimes. Or well, sometimes was an understatement. All of the time, worked much better. She was just really hoping that he didnt give them a heck of a lot of homework because they had been away. Though she wouldn't put it past him to do that.

Lyssa frowned at Snape. She severely did not like him, and he was probably the only teacher that would call attention to their being back at school. The lesson went by and near the end Snape called the two up to his desk to talk to them about what they had missed in their three week absence.

Cassie groaned, she could just tell that they were going to get bucketed with homework. "As you two missed three weeks of valueable lessons." Cassie inwardly snorted at the word valuable. "You can make that time up after classes, untill you've covered all that we covered in those weeks." "That's like a month though," Cassie said annoyed. "I don't have time for more stupid potions lessons after school." "Ten points from Gryffindor Miss Evans." Cassie glared at him.

Lyssa looked at Snape exasperated. "Honestly, professor," she said. "We don't need extra lessons. We're going to have every class to catch up in, despite the fact that we got sent essay assignment after essay assignment we have a ton of practical stuff to do."

"Regardless you are going to." He replied. "Starting today after classes. Come down here at once." And he dismissed them. Cassie scowled stalking out of the room. "That's not fair," She exclaimed angriliy.

Lyssa narrowed her eyes at Snape, and then walked out of the room with Cassie. "This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't want to spend more time near him than I already do for class." She frowned all the way to Transfiguration.

Cassie muttered something that probably included a few made up swear words as they went to tranfig.

They got to Transfiguration, walking in and sitting down in the back of the room.

Luckily they weren't late for Class. Though only just not. Cassie sat down and pulled out her books hoping they won't too far behind everyone else.

While the two weren't caught up on the practical side of the subject (having not been allowed to practice their spells during their stay at the hospital) they knew exactly what was going on, thanks to McGonagall sending them assignments frequently.

At the end of the lesson though both grls could perform the spells as they knew the theory work well enough.

A week or so passed since the girls' return to Hogwarts and they were caught up in every class except Potions, as Snape was making them lesson by lesson each night. At one such lesson, Snape had left the room to do something, leaving the girls to handle what they were doing alone. About halfway through the lesson, Lyssa rubbed her temples and swore. Not even looking up, she answered Cassie's unasked question. "Headache."

Cassie frowned at Lyssa's headache.She also frowned at having to do extra potions work afterschool. They had enough work as it was, they did not need extra potions work to be added on to that. "We're going to have to wait until this stupid lesson ends before we can get something for it, cause we're stuffed if Snape comes back and we're gone."

Lyssa nodded at Cassie. "I'll be fine," she muttered, frowning as she tried to concentrate.

"I can work on the potion of my own if you want to rest, so it doesn't get worse?" She asked her turning to add the next step to the potion.

"No, no, it's fine," Lyssa protested. "I can still help." Though she didn't make any move to help, instead laying her head on the table.

Cassie smiled weakly and continued working on the potion.

A little while later Snape came back. "Miss Malfoy, why are you not working?" Lyssa didnt' answer him however, more focused on her headache.
