Kali and Addi: Take Two (hopefully we can handle it this time)

Addi sniffed and nodded. "I dunno what happened next, I think Max told dad about how I'd changed or something. I don't know. But," She sniffed again. "Something happened, and then V-voldemort, wanted to see me."

"Voldemort?!" Kali said, voice rising in volume. Then she lowered it again. "That's dreadful."

Addi nodded, unsure of what to say.

"What happened after that?" Kali prompted her.

"He uh, he." her tone dropped so what she said next was hardly auible. "He made me spy on the students.."

Kali blinked for a moment. "Was this whenever you started talking to me out of nowhere again?" she asked. "Because you were being a spy?"

Addi nodded slowly, not looking away from her lap.

"And then, over the Easter hols, he...?" Kali went on, letting the question hang open-ended.

Addi nodded again, sniffing.

Kali hugged Addi. "Adds, if I had had any idea what was going on I wouldn't have been as horrible as I was to you about it all." Then she stopped, a thought coming to her. She was pretty sure of the answer already, but she felt she had to ask. "And you don't want any of this, right?"

"Course I don't," Addi said her voice shaky.

Kali hugged her again. "Just making sure," she said.
