Kali and Addi: Take Two (hopefully we can handle it this time)

Addi had eggs and toast for breakfast, deciding not to have bacon with it. She wasn't in the mood for bacon. Once she'd finished her breakfast Addi grabbed her bag off of the floor and made her way to Transfiguration which was her first class of the day. Sitting down somewhere near the back she dropped her bag onto the floor.

Kali got out of bed quickly, but she knew there was no way she could get ready and be in Transfiguration in five minutes, less now even. She got dressed as quick as she could, but left out straightening out her hair, which was always wavy in the morning. Then she hurried to class, but was about fifteen minutes late.

"Miss Larson why are you late?" McGonagall asked as the girl entered the room. Addi inwardly frowned, it was her job in the morning to wake the girl up. As she slept in. She had been intending to but, she wasn't sure. She just hadn't. Addi pegged it to the thing that was making her act weird, which she had hoped had stopped. Whatever on earth t had been.

Kali looked at Professor McGonagall frowning slightly. "Slept late," she muttered. "Sorry, professor. Won't happen again." Then quiet enough where only she heard. "I hope." Kali took her usual seat in the room.

Addi thrummed her fingers against the desk listening as Professor McGonagall finished up explaining what they were going to do doing, the spell was apparently complicated but useful at the same time. Addi didn't really transfiguration, she never really found the class interesting but she had to pay attension because McGonagall was one of those teachers who noticed when people weren't.

Kali tried to pay attention to the class, but her quick wake-up that morning left her unable to. So instead she yanked out a bit of ripped paper and wrote a note to Addi. Why the hell didn't you wake me up?

Addi had tried to write. I have no clue, I was going to but I'm not sure something happened. But her hand apparently did not want to pick up her quill and write it. Addi inwardly frowned at it, whatever it was it was getting old fast.

Kali looked at Addi for a short moment , before deciding that the other girl was not going to respond. Now she was getting concerned. Addi was acting really out of character, and Kali didn't really like it. Not one little bit.

Addi got out her wand murmering the incantation and doing the apprioate wand movement, despite the fact that she didn't like the class she didn't intend on failing it. It always helped to keep ones grades up. The Professor was right, the charm was quite tricky and by the end of the lesson Addi hadn't quite gotten it but she was pretty close.

Kali was quite distracted throughout the lesson, but she did try a few times to do the spell, although she didn't make the best amount of progress in the world. And by the end she was extremely frustrated. When the bell rang she decided to confront Addi again about her indifference.

Addi slung her bag over her shoulder when the bell rang and waited for the teacher to dismiss them.

The class got let out and Kali went right to Addi. "What the heck has been up with you lately?" she asked.

"Nothing is up with me," Addi replied deciding that trying to say what she wanted was not going to work and she was just going to save herself the frustration of trying.

"That's a lie," Kali said. "Something is up. You haven't been acting like you lately. And, you've been ignoring me. I'm your best friend; you're not supposed to ignore me. Was it something I did? Or what?"

Addi was extreamly frustrated with all of this and wanted to tell Kali this, but she couldn't. She had no idea what it was, she blamed the spell the Carrow had cast on her, but what did that spell do? It was ridiculous. She looked at Kali. "Nothing's wrong, I'm not acting any differently." Lies

"Yes, you are," Kali insisted. This was started to frustrate her and she was just about ready to give up.

"If you say so, but I'm not." Inwardly the girl scowled, she had no idea what on earth was going on. But she didn't like it. Not one bit.

"Stop lying to me," Kali snapped at her, frustration leaking out. "You are, and you know you are."

"What's makes you think i'm lying? For all you know this is me and that was a lie." She raised an eyebrow turning on her foot and walking off. It was a few moments later when she wondered why she had said that, while she couldn't say what shewanted to. She could still chose out of everything else what tosay.

Kali stared as Addi walked off. That couldn't be true, or possible, or even probable. Could it? There was no way. She knew Addi. She'd known her for years.

Addi made her way down to potions, she liked potions. It was one of the few classes that she did. You had to pay the uttermost attention to the potion or it blew up in your face, Something that had happened quite a lot to Ad. She got to the classroom and entered, sitting down at the back, watching as students slowly filtered in.

Kali stood in the hallway a while longer, just thinking some things over. She stood there well after the late bell rang. She didn't really want to go to Potions anyway. She just wanted to go walking, so she turned and started downstairs, but passed the door that led to the potions classroom. Instead, she went outside.

Addi was somewhat surprised when Kali didn't come to class, she frowned slightly and turned her attention back to what the Professor was saying. The lesson was boring, as it was theory and not an actual potions lesson.

Kali walked outside, even though it was raining slightly. She walked down to the lake, heading for a hidden place there she'd discovered back in second year one time when she'd walked off in a huff after getting a letter from her parents. It was also somewhat covered, so she wouldn't get too wet from the rain. The only other person that knew about the place was Addi, and Kali doubted -with the way she was currently acting- that Addi would go looking for her.

Addi only half payed attention to the class, writing down notes to what the teacher was saying when she zoned in and then zoned back out probably missing some important key point. But she didn't really care. The class went far too long in Addi's opinion and she was glad once the bell rang.
