Pieces of Two Different Puzzles

Azy turned about. "I don't call nearly drowning fine, neither would I call getting beat up by a guy two years older then you fine. I don't care if you've got some stupid pride that keeps you from telling, screw it, unless you do something it's not going to get any better. You need to realise that."

"I'm going to be fine," Linnie insisted. "I don't need any freaking help from you or from anyone. I grew up taking care of myself, I can take care of myself here."

"Well you're not doing it very well," Azy said turning away again and wwalking out of the hall. She was getting somewhat impatient with the girl, because she didn't realise that she needed to do thingsto get people to stop. you couldn't just let them walk over you.

Linn shook her head after Azy. She just didn't understand that Linn really was handling it, as she had already dealt with bullies back before she'd come to Hogwarts. They'd stopped though, when she had turned 9.

Terrance was not in a good mood, he was rather put off at that Ravenclaw girl for always being there at the wrong moment. He kept his eye open for a chance to get back at Linnie, because he knew that there was no way they could get back at the Ravenclaw. She was the type who could get teachers to listen to her, even if what she was saying was false. And while house points didn't matter to him, he would rather not have the whole house against him becuse he'd lost them.

Linnie was on her way back to the common room late one night, having just gotten out of detention. She was muttering under her breath as she had apparently screwed up during it, and had gotten another one for that Saturday.

Terrance and his group were walking about the castle, you ran into random kids walking about taht way. Though there was hardly anyone about at this time. They rounded a corner and saw Linnie. Terrance smirked. Lovely. No way that the Ravenclaw would have a chance to walk in on them this time. "Having fun there?" He called in a loud tone.

Linnie looked up from her muttering upon hearing Terrance's voice. She looked at him, inwardly nervous, but outwardly nothing. "What do you want?" she asked, voice indicating that she wasn't in the mood.

"What do I want? What do I want. That should be pretty obvious."

"Azy warned you guys..." Linnie said, backing up slowly to take a different hallway, just to avoid further interaction.

"And what the Ravenclaw bitch doesn't know won't hurt her." Terrance said gesturing with his hand to one of his mates. Who slinked out of the hallways finding a back way in it and then appeared standing behind Linnie.

Linnie kept backing up, not noticing the person until she had bumped into them. "She'll find out," Linn said.

"Will she now? And who will tell her? You?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"She's a Ravenclaw...she's not going to be stupid enough to think you would just listen to her," Linnie replied.

Terrance snorted at her. And the guy standing behind Linnie pulled her arms behind her back.

Linnie tried to pull away from the guy, but failed. "Just let it go," she said to Terrance. "Save yourself from getting into more trouble."

"And why would I do that? She's not going to find out, because you are not going to tell her." He took a step forward, closer to the girl.

"And how do you know I won't?" Linnie challenged, still trying to get away.

"Because," Terrance said punching the girl swiftly in the stomach. "You have too much pride for that, and." He punched her again. "if you do I can just make things soo much worse."

Linnie coughed as the punch left her feeling breathless. She probably would have doubled-over had someone not been holding her arms and keeping her standing. "You're so pathetic," she said, voice soft, "beating up on a girl who's younger than you."

About ten minutes later the group of Gryffindors left, going back to the common room.

Linnie sunk down to the floor, hurting just a little too much to bother walking to the common room. She would probably have some nasty bruises in the morning, but that wasn't anything big. They would be covered up anyway.

Azy's first class the next day was transfiguration.

Linnie's class was as well. She walked in, slightly limping as her leg hurt. Linn sat down in her usual seat, taking care not to jostle any bruises and make them throb.

Azy frowned slightly at Linnie's limping. She had been looking at the door when the girl walked in. Picking up her stuff she dumped them down on the table next to her. "What's up?" She asked her wondering why she was limping.
