Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

I smiled amused as Lyss spent the lesson trying to act like her brother.

"You need to act as if you dont care what everyone else says, you are the most awesome person ever, and what you say is right."

Lyss stared at me.

I grinned. "I spend too much time around your brother with you for my own good."

"Yes well there's the matter of successfully producing that theory and it just being a theory," I stated. "Ick, just thinking about it makes me feel lousy."

I wrinkled my nose again.

I smiled. "Im sure you have Malfoyishness in ya somewhere Lyss, we just need to reserect from the pits your self."

She looked at me as If I was insane.

Then the bell rang. "Come on I know you can do it." My eyes lit up. "Draco's going to be there. This will be interesting."

I groaned. This was going to suck.

We walked in the room and Cassie walked to where she normally sat. For the plan to work I had to sit elsewhere, so I just sat at the back table no one ever sat at.

I smiled slightly. I sat in our usual spot and Lyss sat in a chair at the back on the other side of the room. The Carrow walked in and noticed we were'nt sitting together. I nearly laughed at the look on its face but didn't becuase I had to pretend I was in a sour mood for Lyss acting like a Malfoy.

I sat in my chair, doing my best to be like Draco was almost all the time. Just the thought made me want to shudder, but I couldn't. I had to keep up my act.

The Carrow walked in, noticing our new sitting arrangement, and I bet she was wondering what we were planning. I nearly laughed, but stopped myself.

She went on to start teaching and I got ready to start acting like my worst nightmare.

I grinned and really wanted to wink at Lyss.

The Carrow continued where she left off alst lesson saying muggles were scum and all that.

I rolled my eyes.

I sat there, being bored, wondering how this was all going to wark out. I wasn't even paying any mind to the Carrow, or the lesson. In fact, I was doodling on a piece of parchment instead. There were a few scattered whispers, people wondering what was up with me and Cassie, since we hadn't done anything "stupid" yet.

I bit my lip, we had arranged that I would say soemthign then Lyss would bite back.

I yawned loudly and leaned back on my chair. "Your just repeating yourself Carrow, you said this yesterday."

I nearly laughed but stopped myelf in time.

"Shut it, Evans," I said, feeling my heart pang inside my chest, but no showing it. "You're act is getting very old very fast."

I looked over at her with my best Malfoy face, feeling the confused stares directed at us.

I had to turn my smile into a scowl.

"You can't talk Much Malfoy." I snapped back. "You never had a act."

The class now looked so confused it was comical.

"An yact I ever had was better than the one you're trying to pull off now. It's almost comical how repetitive you're being," I said, not snapping, but with a steely tone. "You're just making a big fool of yourself, if that even possilbe with as foolish as you usually are anyways."

If we hadn't been joking around that would have stung. Hard. "I'm not a fool Malfoy." I replied. "Im standing up for what I believe in. Im not a Hufflepuff." I turned her words agaisnt her. The Slytherin's sniggered and the Gryffindors were completly dazzled, we had worked perfectly fine in the last three periods together.

"If you call this stand up for what you believe in you've got it all wrong," I said with a smirk. "You'll get nowhere in this world if you just talk talk talk talk talk. But I suppose that's all you really can do. It's not like you could pull some sort of magic out of thin air to help you. That's would be beyond your brain capcity."

I was really starting to creep myself out. This was coming all too naturally to me, despite it all being an act.

My jaw dropped. Where the hell had that come from? So much for not being able to do it.

"At least I'm doing soemthing." I replied. "Im not sitting there waiting for someone else to do it for me."

I chanced a look at Draco who was looking from Me to Lyssa with a befuddled expresion.

"All you're doing is making yourself look like a fool, you're too weak to properly do anything. And now your causing me to repeat myself," I said, with a scowl. "I suggest that if you plan to do anything about what you believe as you call it you work on your poor spellwork and your weak intelligence."

"Now you're the one repeating youself." I smiled. "My spellwork may suck, it probably does. But at least I don't rely on telling everyone they are stupid to make me feel better about myself." I replied and couldnt hold back my smile. But then I always smiled when insulting people even when I was mucking around so it was nothing new."

"It's not repetition. It's reiterating to make sure you get it," I said, remind myself we were just acting and that nothing was serious. "And I don't have to call people stupid to feel good about myself. I can do that on my own."

"Are you two quite finished arguing now?" the Carrow asked, interceding.

"Yes quite," I replied. "Please continue with what you were saying before."

I put my face in my hand to concel my grin.

The Carrow continued with what it was saying before expecting a interuption at any moment. I suddenly grinned and pulled something out of my pocket. It was one of the Wealey Wizard Weezes products. I smirked and put it on the floor. It skittered to around near the Carrow then blew up in a ball of smoke.

After it was said and done all I wanted to do was hide my face in my arms again, but if I did it would look supsicious. I absolutely hated how easily that had come to me. What did that say about me? I zoned out for the rest of class.

The Carrow completly spazzed it was the funniest thing I had ever seen.

"Miss Evans?" It spat.

"Hmm?" I asked.

"Is this your?" It held out the blown up object,

"No." I said.

"Areyou sure?"

"Well I wouldnt say no if I thought it was mine would I?"

Although I was zoned out, trying to figure some things out in my mind, I was vaguely aware of the goings on in the room. Cassie had done something to upset the Carrow again and was playing the fool to it. I fought to keep myself from smiling. It didn't take much. I was feeling miserable in a way anyways.

"But you could be lying." The Carrow spluttered.

"I could." I agreed.

"So how do I know your not."

"You have to trust me." I smiled wicketly.

My mind wandered again. I hadn't noticed, but I had started doodling again. Soon the parchment I was drawing on was filled with little pictures and words. Most of them reflected what I was thinking.

"And now if you don't mind-" I said but was cut off from the bell.

"There's the bell and I have mroe important things to do then to listen to you."

I grabbed my bag and stood up.
