New RP 1 (Expelled) (yes, fail title, but it makes it obvious)

Lyssa walked to Defense with her twin, still discussing what they had been from breakfast. It was oddly easier to get along with Draco now than it had been before, and Lyssa chalked it up to her 'new' personality. She wondered if this is how she would have acted had she not met Cassie.

Cassie entered the defence against the dark arts room once the teacher had come and opened the room. The irrirated Gryffindor sat as a spot near the back very much wanting to punch someone very hard in the face.

Lyssa sat off the side of the room, nearer to the middle of the room, next to Draco. They really had been getting closer, and sometimes, Lyssa didn't mind that she wasn't able to talk (or well she'd talk and Cassie would probably write) with Cassie much anymore. Other times she was about ready to say 'screw it' and go back to normal. But all that would do would be to get her kicked out again, and that was the last thing she wanted.

Cassie didn't even try to bother to listen to any of the crap the Carrow was spouting, she just didn't want to listen, she didn't care. Not that she ever had. She put her arms down in her head ignoring the teacher as it called on Cassie for some crap or other that she wans't listening to.

Once during the class, Lyssa let herself look over at Cassie for a moment, a frown crossing her face. The other girl looked plain miserable. It hurt Lyssa's heart to see Cassie like that, and she supposed she was selfish for ignoring her just to keep herself out of trouble.

Cassie kept her head down on the table, looking at the varous marks on it students had made with their quills or other bits and bots. She honestly felt like crapand would have very much liked to have a total fit but as she couldn't yell..she couldn't really.

The class passed uneventfully, Lyssa not actually learning a thing. She'd spent almost the entire class zoned out, which if he found out, would likely upset Lucius. She honestly hated seeing Cassie so upest, but there was absolutely nothing she could do about it unless...an idea came to her, and Lyssa only hoped it wouldn't screw her over.

Cassie was out of the classroom almost a moment after the bell had rang, though once outside the room she slowed down and just walked slowly on her way to her next class which she was pretty sure was transfig. A glance at her timetable showed that it was. The Gryffindor girl sighed forlornly running a hand through her hair. She got to the classroom taking a seat near back and zoned out letting her mind whirl, one thing she knew was that she wanted her voice back, it had been over a month since she lost it. Though she wasn't too sure what she could do to get it back because she very much doubted Snape was going to give it to her.

The rest of the day's classes went by at a relatively fast pace. After dinner, Lyssa was walking around the school, not in the mood to deal with her housemates at the moment. They'd started to get really annoying lately. As she was walking she noticed Cassie, who was still looking beyond miserable. After assuring herself that no one else was around she called, "Cassie!" to get the girl's attention.

The rest of the day was meh, Cassie payed no attension to any of the classes nor what homework was being given out. After dinner she found herself walking randomly around the school not really in the mood to go back to the common room. Hearing her name she stopped and then turned around to show that she was listening. She looked at Lyssa with an eyebrow raised wondering what on earth she was going to say.

Lyssa walked to the girl, so that she wasn't quite as far away anymore. Then she looked around again, feeling paranoid, although she had no reason to be. There really was no one else around. Biting her bottom lip, Lyssa thought back a bit, then took out her wand. If she was right, this should work...Then she waved it at Cassie, who looked completely lost. "Pretty sure that isn't going to completely fix everything, but I had to do something. It hurts to see you so miserable. And if you're wondering what I did, well figure it out." Then with a shrug Lyssa walked off, thinking to herself that she was thankful that she was still capable of acting normal, for now at least.

Cassie raised her eyebrow again at Lyssa who walked over. She turned around muttering grumpily under her breath. Then she stopped. "Hang on," She said her eyes lit up as she found that she could talk again.

The next two weeks passed rather uneventfully, and thankfully for her, no one had learned it was Lyssa that had given Cassie her voice back. Overr the course of the two weeks, Lyssa was finding it easier and easier to act like she had when she was younger, since back then she had acted just like a Malfoy (seeing as she is one after all).

Cassie found slight amusment in the fact that the Carrows and Snape had no bloody clue how on earth she had gotten her voice back and she didn't tell anyway. Though her mood plummeted back down in the weeks that followed. She sighed going to transfiguration one day.

Lyssa found herself away from the common room more and more, feeling completely alienated from her housemates now. She walked to Transfiguration, talking to Draco and some of the Slytherins in their year.

Cassie sighed in frustration at the transfiguration work, her month or so without a voice really had made her grades and her skills plunder and even now she was having trouble keeping up with the work. She jabbed her wand muttering the incantation and getting it completly wrong. "Stupid crap." She scowled at it.

Lyssa worked on the incantation for the class, getting it correct after a few tries. Having successfully transfigured her object into what it was meant to be she looked casually around the room, eyes stopping on Cassie as she completely failed at the spell. "Honestly, a first year could do better than that."

Cassie sent Lyssa a dark look but turned away from her and back to her work. She tried to spell again muttering darkly at it, it wasn't really that hard a spell but as she hadn't fully learnt what came before it she couldn't grasp the idea fully.

Lyssa raised her eyebrow at the older girl. "What? Do you not have some amazingly witty comeback for me?" she said, the amazingly witty part coming out in a tone that said that that was not what she thought of the comebacks Cassie could come up with.

"No amazingly enough," Cassie snapped back dropping her wand onto the table in frustration. "Because you do not deserve the priveledge of receiving a witty comeback."

Lyssa didn't show any outward reaction to Cassie's words. She simply flipped some hair from her face and gave the othe girl an even gaze. "Is that honestly the best thing you could think of to say?"

"Why is my lack of a comeback so amazing? Or don't you have better things in your life to do then to insult people in the hope that they will say something back that insults you."

Lyssa shook her head. "No, it's just that you always seem to have one. It surprising that you don't for once." She shrugged. "Although, I suppose I should thank you for sparing me from one. I don't think I could bear to listen to the rubbish you tend to spew."

"Oh give me a fucking break," Cassie snapped wondering why McGonagall hadn't noticed the bickering yet. A few students had. "If you don't want to listen to the rbish that I spew then why provoke me? But I suppose you don't have the brain capasity to realise that."

Lyssa frowned, the first outward expression she'd show the entire time. "I provoked nothing. I made a comment on your spell work, and then a comment on the lack of you doing something in your normal personality."
