New RP 1 (Expelled) (yes, fail title, but it makes it obvious)

Lyssa made her way over to the couch in the room and laid down on it, curling up at the end. Tears still leaked silently out of her eyes as she mulled things over. She'd need to sneak the rest of her stuff out of the Manor somehow, that was for sure.

Nix left Cassie alone after a little while and Cassie curled up under her blanket thinking things over in her mind. Snape had really crossed the wrong line and even with Lyssa's lovely Gryffindor plan Cassie wanted to think of something to inconvience Snape even more.

The day went by more and once it was pitch black out and around midnight, Lyssa had decided she was going to (attempt) to sneak into her room at the Manor to get her stuff. Couldn't be too hard, could it? She had magic.

Cassie feel asleep sometime later, she had a restless night, tossing and turning and waking up a few times. Cassie was generally a sound sleeper but she just didn't seem able to sleep.

Lyssa got ready to be sneaky like a ninja, and after having located a broom to get to her window without using the doors she set off to Malfoy Manor. Getting there, and getting to just below her window was easy enough. Now there was just the matter of flying high enough to reach it. Once having managed to do that, Lyssa felt pretty confident she'd be able to just grab her stuff and get out. If either of her parents caught her there....well she was sure they'd been informed of her expulsion by now, so that wouldn't be a pretty thing to have happen.

She climbed in through the window, taking the broom with her so she could get back out, laying it on her bed. Then Lyssa set about her room, getting this and that and magicing it into a bag she'd brought with her, making it all fit inside. All was going well, until she heard a creak outside in the hallway, just as she swung her bag over her shoulder. Mid-swing the bag hit a lamp on her bedside table, knocking it to the floor with a crash. Whoever was out in the hall froze at the same time Lyssa did. She stared at the door to the room, eyes wide. Then the door opened. The person must have been closer than she thought. If they had been farther down the hall she could have gotten out before they got to the door, but she apparently wasn't so lucky.

Unfortunately for Lyssa the person turned out to be Lucius. He already looked mad that someone was sneaking around in his house. Now he looked even more mad that it was his recently expelled daughter. Lyssa swore quietly to herself, trying to figure out if she could grab the broom and make it out of the room before Lucius reacted and probably spelled the window shut and locked. The chances weren't very high.

Cassie sat in her bed, it was still dark outside and with a glance at her clock it showed to be a little after midnight. She wondered where Lyssa was and if she had taken up on her offer to stay her her plcae. Which had once been her aunts place. That aunt had been Cassie's favourite aunt and she had been really upset when she found out she had died.

"Just what do you think you're doing?" Lucius asked Lyssa, voice seemingly calm, with expertly hidden rage underneath. She was quiet, just looking at him with wide eyes. She'd never actually seen Lucius this angry before. "I....er...." she stuttered after a long moment of silence. She instinctively stepped back as Lucius stepped in the room. "Malfoys do not get themselves expelled. You've disgraced our name once again." Lyssa bit back a snappy comment she had, thinking that was best to do at the moment. Instead she said, "I'm an adult. You have no jurisdication as to what I do anymore. And as far as I'm concerned I haven't thought myself a Malfoy since I was 11." Lucius glared at her now, and Lyssa decided that comment might have no been the best to make. She didn't want to tip his anger. He pulled out his wand quickly and flicked it at her. She looked at him quizzically, since it hadn't seem to do anything. "You are now bound to the Manor and its grounds." Lyssa's eyes widened. That was just like what Snape had done to Cassie. Lucius flicked his wand again, and Lyssa's found her own wand flying from her hand; Lucius caught it. "Wha-?" Lyssa said, trying to figure out the purpose of disarming her. "You continue to disgrace this family. I will not have you galavanting around with the ability to do magic." Lyssa started him wide-eyed and open-mouthed. "You can't..." "I can. We shall discuss your expulsion in the morning with your mother." And with that Lucius shut the door of the room, leaving Lyssa there, shocked to hell and back.

It took Cassie a while but she drifted back into sleep, wishing that she was with Lyss wherever she was. Voldemort and his Death Eaters were succeding in destroying her life along with many others. Her mother could no longer use magic, she was stuck in a place she had once loved but now hated and had seperated her from her best freind. "I shouldn't have come back," Cassie muttered into the darkness. "I wish I'd never known about magic, wish I'd grown up a muggle wondering why hundred of people were dying, not knowing would be better this this."

Lyssa stood there, staring at the door for a while longer, trying to think of a way out of the mess she had just landed in, but not quite getting any ideas. After a little while, she resigned herself to attempting to get some sleep before the morning. She laid down on her bed, and lay on her side under the covers, back to her door.

Cassie ignored her dorm mates attemps to get her out of bed the next morning. "Go away," She yelled at them pulling her dona cover over her head. "Cassie you'll get into trouble." That was Nix. "I don't care," Cassie muttered back into her pillow. "I'm not going to play his stupid games anymore."

Lyssa managed to fall asleep, and woke up some hours later. She got changed from the clothes she had slept in the from the day before and brushed through her hair. Then she made her way from the room, knowing that it would be better to face her parents now, rather than stall. That would only make things worse for her.

Her dormmates finally gave up and Cassie just lay there. What the hell could Snape do anyway, she wasn't going to go to any of his stupid detensions and if he wanted to kill her he would have done so already. And what worse could he do except send her off to the Carrows so they could turn her into mince meat. If she didn't go then she'd be fine..Hopefully.

Lyssa walked into the dining room, where her parents were already settled. The three of them ate breakfast in silence. Once it was over and Lyssa made to get up to leave, Lucius said, "Sit back down. We have some things to discuss."

Cassie spent the day in her dorm room, Nix came up after school and gave her an apple, guessing that Cassie hadn't gotten down to eat. "You should eat you know." Cassie shrugged. "And Professor Snape told me to tell you you have a detension tonight." Cassie shrugged again. "Sounds fun." She muttered dryly.

Lyssa ended up spending a good part of her morning and a bit into the afternoon getting lectured by her parents about being expelled and some crap about family honor. She didn't even get a word in the entire time. Every time she tried to say something she got talked over or interutped.

"Cassie you're digging yourself into a hole you won't be able to dig yourself out of." "Then I'll just keep digging. It's impossible to dig yourself out of a hole anyway, because you have nothing to dig. It's only air." Nix threw her an impatient look. Nix was on the fence about the whole Voldemort matter, she thought that both sides were lunitics and going about it the wrong way, not that she knew a better way to go around it.

Once she was free to go from the dining room, Lyssa retreated to her room, locking the door behind her this time. She really wished she had Persephone with her right now, so she could at least write to Cassie like she promised she would.

Nix sighed and left Cassie to her moping about. Cassie went down to the great hall for dinner and then came back completly ignoring the fact that she meant to have a Detension with the headmaster. "Cassie?" Nix said when Cassie reentered the common room. "What?" Cassie said in a rather annoyed tone. She couldn't help it, Nix got on her nerves sometimes. "You have a det remember." "I never forgot." "Then why...?" "Snape can go to hell." She said simply returning to the dorm.

Lyssa spent the rest of her day in her room, not doing anything but looking at the ceiling and thinking. There was nothing else to do anyway. Then she had a thought. If she could just snatch some Floo powder she could fire call the Gryffindor common room.

Cassie lay back on her bed looking up at the roof of the dorm.

Lyssa snuck -successfully this time- to where her family kept their Floo powder. Grabbing some, she made her way to a less traveled part of the Manor and located a fire place there. There was already a fire, since it was winter and all the fireplaces were lit, which was lucky for Lyss, since she didn't know how to start a fire without magic. She tossed the Floo powder in and said "Gryffindor Common Room."

"Cassie," Cassie heard Nix again and groaned. "What?" She half shouted at the girl, Nix could be a good freind both othertimes...guh. "Lyssa is on the floo and I'm supposing she want sto talk to you." Cassie jumped up quickly and made her way to the Gryffindor fire.

Lyssa waited, rather impatiently while Nix went to get Cassie from the dorms. Her time, she was sure, was limited. It might be a less traveled in room, but that didn't mean completely avoided. When Cassie showed up, the first thing Lyssa said was, "Sorry I didn't write like I said I would."

Cassie shrugged sitting down in front of the fire. "It's alright." She sighed ignoring the few people that were glancing curiously at the head in the fireplace..

"Seriously though, I would have, were I not stuck at the Manor....owl-less and wandless," Lyssa replied.
