Cassie and Lyssa Year Six.

Cassie's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open as Lyssa's word coursed through her mind. She shut her mouth after realizing that it made her look like a total idiot but that was beside the point. "Oh god," She said softly having no idea what to really say. "Oh god, poor Draco." Which were two words Cassie didn't think she would have actually ever said.

Lyssa didn't say anything else once she'd stopped talking. She was more interested in frowning at the fireplace. Then she said, "I'm trying not to let it get to me, but I think I'm failing. But no one can notice something's up..."

"I won't tell anyone," Cassie said still looking into the flame, where Lyssa was also looking. The elder Gryffindor girl frowned with a sigh.

Lyssa looked over at Cassie for a moment. "I know you won't. That's why I told you," she explained. Then she yawned. "I'm going to head up to bed."

"Mkay," Cassie said though she didn't move nor look away from the fireplace.

Lyssa got up from the couch and walked up to the girl's dorms, finding her bed and falling back on it with a sigh. Then she rolled to her side and hugged her pillow, sighing again. Slowly, her eyes closed.

Cassie stayed in the common room for a while longer, she went up to the dorm some time later finding that everyone was already asleep. The Gryffindor girl changed into her Pj's and got into bed, sitting up and leaning on the headboard holding onto her knees. She wasn't really that tired. Sometime later Cassie drifted off to sleep still in her sitting position which caused her to have a sore neck and back when she awoke.

Lyssa woke up the next morning to see Cassie sitting on her bed, rubbing her neck a bit. Sitting up, and tiredly rubbing her eyes, Lyssa asked, "Sleep odd last night?"

"Yeah," Cassie said with a nodd and and a frown. She yawned and pulled herself out of bed to start and get ready. It took her a little while to aquire her clothing and it felt oddly nice to be back in her uniform. The two girls made their way down to breakfast talking little. Cassie yawned as she ate, rubbing her neck. She frowned when an owl dropped a letter in front of her and frowned even more when she noticed Lizzie's handwriting. Though she could tell that the girl had posted it to the post office and some wizard at the post office had owled it over.

Lyssa got ready for the day and walked with Cassie down to breakfast. As the two were eating, an owl dropped a letter in front of Cassie. "What's it about?" Lyssa asked as Cassie opened it and started to read.

"What?" Cassie asked with a frown as she read through the letter that by the look of it Lizzie hadn't taken much care in making it look neat. Not that it really mattered if it was neat or not. She finished reading the letter with another frown and folded it up shoving it into her robes pocket.

Lyssa looked at her friend with a frown. "What's up?" she asked, basically saying the same thing had before, but more curious this time.

"What? Nothing," Cassie said pushing her half eaten breakfast into the middle of the table, she wasn't that hungry even though she eaten much at the feast the night before either.She sighed and then frowned.

"Cassie, don't lie to me," Lyssa said, worry coming into her eyes. "I know you better than that."

Cassie sighed looking at Lyssa as she played absent mindedlt with her half eaten food. "I'll tell you later kay?" She said with another sigh.

Lyssa nodded. "That works," she said.

The day passed morbitly slowly as the classes that they had were stupid. Expecially defence against the dark arts which was just stupid, though Cassie did find Harry back chatting to Snape rather amusing, coupled with the fact that Harry had already gotten a det on the first day back.

The day went by and by the end of it Lyssa was sort of tired. She'd seen Draco a couple times throughout the day and couldn't help but find herself worried.

Classes ended and the two girls found themselves walking around the school on their way back to Gryffindor tower.

They reached the common room and sat on the couch, much like the night before. "It's later," Lyssa said, "so what's up?"

Cassie sighed sitting down at the couch and looking up at the roof. She frowned wondering how to phraze it. "Mum and Dad started to argue a lot over the holidays," She said looking down at her feet. "Dads worried about the whole Voldemort thing, and well he never really liked magic in the first place I s'pose. He wanted to unenroll me and put me in the same school Lizzie goes to cause then I wouldn't be as close to the danger but Mum said that my education was important though Dad has the kind of "What you need magic to do there is no point doing it," attitude."

Lyssa frowned at the news. "That really sucks," she said, struggling to find something appropriate to say. She'd never dealt with arguing parents and so was sort of at a loss. "I hope everything works out."

Cassie just nodded and shrugged pulling out a pen and some paper from her bag. She also pulled out Lizzie's letter and sitting that in front of her proceded to reply to what her older sister had said.

Lyssa sat on the couch for a little while longer, although it was sort of awkward. She didn't like the silence that had settled into place, but she didn't want to interupt Cassie's letter writing. Instead, she got up and with a quick, "I'm going to the library," she left the common room.

Cassie nodded looking at her letter, she scrunched the paper into a ball and then chucked it into the flame, she grabbed one peice of paper and started to rewrite the letter. In theend she just gave up and just wrote whatever came to her head whether it made sense was relevent or not. Sealing the letter before she could read over it and scribble everything out Cassie made her way to the owlery.
