Some Things Are Easier Said Then Done

"Cassie," Lyssa said, "the one that works is going to be the one that makes me act like someone I don't want to be."

Cassie frowned pondering that. "Alright," She said. "I think the healers need to shut up and let you go then."

"Lovely, then we agree with each other," Lyssa said. Just at that moment the healer walked in an opened his mouth to say something. "Don't care," Lyssa cut in. "I want to leave already."

Cassie smiled semi amused.

"I'm sorry, but you can't leave until you stop changing between personalities," the healer replied, causing Lyssa to frown.

"Well that's stupid," Cassie said. "If she wants to leave she shold be allowed to."

"The only way that she could leave without our consent, being a minor, is to have a parent come and take her out."

Cassie frowned at the healer. "Stupid." She muttered.

"Fine then," Lyssa stated matter-of-factly, "owl or Floo my mother and tell her to come get me because I am done with this place."

The healer muttered and walked out. Coming back in about ten minutes. "We flooed your mother and she said that you are sttaying here until ths problem is fxed."

Lyssa frowned, looking guinuinely upset. "Well then, may as well say I'll be here until I'm an adult then, becaues I'm not going to let you make me act like someone I'm not, because that would mean losing everyone I care about. And that, that is unacceptable."

Cassie frowned at the healer. 'This is rubbish," She said. "If Lyssa wants to go she should be allowed to go." "Of course she wants to go," The healer said. "This is the fake or the sick her talking. It's part of the madness I suppose. That doens't want her to get better because then that part of her would have gone. You can't make your desisions when you're ill because being ill will influence it."

Lyssa's eyes narrowed at the healer guy. "Did you just call me mad!?" she cried. "I'm not bloody mad, you stupid git!"

"I did not say you were mad." "But you implyed it." Cassie said darkly. The healer sighed impatiently. "Mad is an offensive way to say that you have a physicatic illness. So I can't imply that I saying you are mad. I can imply that you have a phyiscatic illness."

"It doesn't work out that way. If you're implying that I have as you call it a psychiatric illness and that saying that someone is mad is an offensive to say that someone has one, you are indeed implying that I am mad," Lyssa said eyes still narrowed.

"You do have a psychiactric illness, you have multiple personalities, Mad is an offensive way to say it and I am not saying it offensively."

"I don't bloody care if you are or aren't! You are implying it!" Lyssa snapped at the healer. "And I am very much offended either way. Now get out before I throw something at you."

Cassie sent him a Death Glare and the healer very wisely left the room.Cassie muttered darkly under her breath about the healer.

Once the healer was out of sight, Lyssa's anger disappated to show her other emotions instead. She sat down in one of the room's chairs and curled her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them. "I'm not mad, right?" she asked, looking up at Cassie.

"No your not."

Lyssa cast her eyes down at the floor. "Then why is it that I feel like I am?" she asked. "If I'm not mad, then why am I here?" She was quiet for a second, biting her bottom lip. "Cassie, I want to go back to school, and have things be normal again."

Cassie ran a hand through her hair and then walked over to her freind and hugged her gently. "It will work outin the end Lyss," She said softly. "Somehow, maybe not how you expect but it ill."

Lyssa found herself sniffling. "But what if, in the end, I'm not me anymore?"

"Then I'll sue." Cassie said in all seriousness.

Lyssa gave a weak laugh. "You can't sue St. Mungo's. They would just be doing their jobs I suppose...." She was quiet again, looking back at the floor. "I'm tired of all of this. And I've come to the conclusion that I'm facing a very real reality of being forced to drink a potion at least once a day probably for the rest of my life if this ever works out. "
