Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

"I would not have harmed a student in my day." One of the old Headmasters said.

"Good thing too." I muttered trying not to let the pain get to me. "This guy is insane enough to last a while."

I heard someone laugh and grinned. Instead of trying to ignore the pain I focused on it. Pain was a trick of the mind, you expected it to hurt and so it did. It didn't really hurt. Pain wasn't real just a illusion. I smiled as the pain numbed down then stopped completly leaving a bewildered Snape standing there holding his wand.

I found myself grinning at the portrait.

Then I grinned even more a Cassie when she psyched herself out of the curse.

"That was bloody effing brilliant!" I cried.

I grinned back at Lyss. "I know I am." And laughed looking at the rage on Snape's face.

"Interesting." Dumbledore mused.

I glanced at the portrait. "Pain isn't real. Just a trick of the mind. Just a illusion. You expect it to hurt and it does. It's all in you head." I said smiling slightly.

I turned to Snape. "Looks like your worse wasn't good enough."

Snape scowled and glared. "You have yet to see my worst," he said in that tone that only he could pull off, bastard that he is.

"Well then BRING IT!" I challenged him. "Let's see just what you can do to, because as you well, we Gryffindors are so hard-headed and persistant. We're not going down that easily, and we're not changing our minds. This isn't your school and you're not going to control us."

"Oh can't I?" Snape glowered.

"Severus." Dumbledore warned.

"Oh be quiet." Snape snapped. I looked at Lyss in confusion then what she said clicked into my mind. "you're not going to control us."

"Imperio." I whispered. Then turned to glare at Snape. "You would do anything to get what you want wouldn't you?"

I felt my eyes widened as Snape snapped at Dumbledore. I couldn't believe it.

"Don't snap at him!" I growled. "He was and still is the greatest headmaster this school has ever seen! You're not even half the teacher he was either. You're not fit to even be standing in this office right now with the priveledge to be taking on his legacy! You are nothing more than the dirt people step on, but even that seems too good for you!"

I laughed at Lyssa's discription of Snape.

"Girls." Dumbledore warned.

"But professor." I whined.

Dumbledore gave me a peicing look.

"But annoying him is fun." I grumbled under my breath. "I dont know why you stick up for him. He killed you. Remember?"

I was hit by a sharp jab of a curse but it lasted only a few seconds as my body and it's. Pain is a state of mind Kicked it.

I glowered at Snape. "You think your so cool dont you." I snarled. "Being one of Voldemort's pals. Yes I said the name and what are you going to do about it?" I spat. "Your not even scarey."

I had to laugh. I just had to. That was priceless.

Snape looked like he was on the verge of murder at the moment. That only made me laugh more.

"You know. Voldemort isn't all that scary either."

I grinned. " I have to agree with you there Lyss." I smiled. "Like my grandma in the bathtub is scarier then he is." I smiled then continued. "People think that Fear is the best way to get power. They think that making everyone fear them will help them. It won't. It justs shows how patheticly stupid you are."

I smiled.

"Well actually I was refering more to his looks," I said. "Although you are right."

Then I smiled.

"His lack of a proper nose is amusing."

I giggled. "He does look quite like an Alien if I must say so myself." I grinned.

Snape groaned. "Just go back to class but be warned if you disturb it again you will not get off so lightly."

"Can't wait." I chirped. "You better upgrade your games Snape."

I grinned at Lyss and we left the office, before I left I turned around and beamed at Dumbledore who looked highly amused.

"Ugh. Transfiguration." I moaned looking at my timetable. "And with the Slytherins. This wont be pretty."

~Back in the Office~

"You need to stop being so harsh Severus." The portrait of Dumbledore said.

"Well what else should I do?" He snapped. "I need to keep up the Charade" He spat bitterly. "And those two girls are driving me insane."

"I do admire their courgae though." Dumbledore said. "And Miss Evans throwing off Crucio was quite amasing. Not that you should have done it at all." He finished in a stearned voice. "Its quite good Harry isnt here, I can't imagine what would happen then."

I walked with Cassie at a slow rate to class. It had started fifteen minutes ago, so there was sure to be a scene when we showed up, but there was no way to aviod it, since it had at least an hour left.

I groaned thinking of Draco's react to the cut, and McGonagal's reaction overall.

When we finally reached Transfiguration we were 20 minutes late.

"Girls why are you so late?" Mcgonaggle asked sternly.

"Having a cheery chat the Headmaster wanna-be, who thinks he's cooler then everyone else." I said grinning broadly and smirked as the Gryffindors sighed in exasperation and the Slytherins rolled their eyes and glowered.

"It was very education might I add. At least I learned a few things. It was particularly interesting learning how to throw off the Cruciatus curse," I commented.

I had to hold back my smirk as the whole class was shocked.

I smirked. "Very." I added. "Expecially when it enfuriates Snape so much." I bit on my lip to stop myself laughing the look of Mcgonagles face was priceless she looked as if she was going to explod.

"He did WHAT!?" She yelled completly forgetting about what she had been teaching the class moments before.

"Well saying that my Grandma in a bath was scarier then he was probablyl didn't help."

The Gryffindors snickered.

"You girls are completely insane," McGonagal said, shaking her head. "Stop provoking him."

"But professor," I whined. "It's so much fun. And he's running out of tricks really."

Then I laughed to myself.

I grinned. And Mcgonaggle looked furiated. My eyes glanced around the room and stopped on Draco who looked a mix of things. Worried, annoyed, exasperated.

"Stay back behind class Girls I want to talk to you." Mcgonaggle murmered.

"Mr. Malfoy sit down." She said when Draco stood up.

"She's my sister! I have every right to be concerned about her!" he shouted.

"Sit down Mr.Malfoy. You can talk to her later," McGonagal said.

He sat begrudgingly once I gave him a look.

"Ok now what was I talking about?" Mcgonaggle asked the class.

I smirked. I loved watching teachers forget what they were doing.

Me and Lyss walked over to our usual seats and sat down getting our books out.

"Hey Lyss, I vote we start the DA up again." I whispered to her. "We can get Ginny, Neville and Luna to help us set it up again if we need to."

"Yeah we totally should. It would be a great way at getting back at them," I replied, grinning. "But they're probably like the only people who would join back up. No one else probably would. They're all to afraid and Snape and the Carrows." I grimaced lightly thinking about them and how they were oh so infuriating.

I made a face and rolled my eyes. "Oh but once they see how evil Snape can get they will."

She gave me a quizacle look to say. Yea we know he's evil but how are we going to prove that?

"If we keep standing up to them." I contined in a whisper. "As well as giving people hope, it will show how evil Snape really is."

"Yeah you have a point..." I muttered.

I reached up and touched the cut on my cheek lightly.

"I'm so not looking forward to more of these."

"Sorry professor," I said. "We were plotting."

I grinned. "These things need quite alot of planning"

Mcgonaggle sighed. "Could you please stop planning your Death Day untill class finishes?"

"We don't plan on dying professor."
