Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

I ate breakfast in silence, ignoring the constant chatter around me.

It was really annoying and it was giving me a headache.

I nearly sighed in relief when the bell signalled first class.

The blasted Carrow entered the classroom, and I walked in sitting at the back, so no-one else could see me. If I chose the perfect time when the Carrow was facing away it would be perfect. At least I hoped it would. The Carrow started some speach about some stupid Muggle born rubish and what not. It turned around to write something on the blackboard and I smiled getting the fireworks out. Making sure no-one was looking I hit the ends of each with my wand making them fly across the room and blow up.

I scowled as there was a colorful explosion.

I turned in my seat to Evans, who was grinning. Of course it was her. There was that plan after all.

Silently, I removed myself from my seat and people's sight. I worked my way to the door unseen by the distraction and then I was on my way to see Professor Snape, to tell that Evans was disrupting class again. It seemed as good a payback as any, after what had happened the previous day.

I smiled as the class soon turned to Choas, perfect.

I glanced at the direction of whre Lyss had been sitting. She wasn't there.

I sighed, of course she would tell on me.

I rolled my eyes.

I was walking down the corridor thinking If I were Snape where would I be right now which caused me to shudder. Still didn't like him.

Halfway down a staircase I saw him. "Professor!" I called. "There's a disturbance in the Muggle Studies room. I think it was Evans. There were fireworks involved. Weasley if I'm not mistaken."

"And just why are you the one informing me? Aren't the two of your friends?"

I frowned. "We had a bit of a...disagreement yesterday. I'm not too keen on being called her friend with this," I said, pointing to a light bruise from where she had hit me.

"Interesting," Snape drawled. "Thank you Miss Malfoy. I'll see to it. Come along."

I nodded and followed.

I smirked as the stupid Death Eater tried to stun it.

The class room door swung open and sure enough there was Snape with Malfoy behind him.

"Miss Evans" He snapped.

"Hmm?" I asked lazily.

"Come here."

"Why?"

"You know exactly why," Snape said.

I manuvered past him and back into the room. The fireworks were whizzing about, making different shapes and such. It was all actually very pretty.

"Actually I dont. Would you care to enlighten me?"

I watched something spirral past.

"Miss Evans." Snape was getting annoyed now, "If you don't come with me this istant, Gryffindor might just find itself with fifty less points."

You had to hand it to him, he knew what strings to pull.

I yawned and stood up.

"Fine, hold your hipprogriphs"

"Do I have to come as well?" I asked. "Since I told you and all..."

I didn't like that idea, and it made me frown.

"Yes, you do," Snape replied.

I scowled at him.

Snape turned around and strolled out of the classroom, scowling I followed. Stupid Malfoy, why the hell did she tell on me? Stupid annoying Malfoy.

Snape led us to his office and gave the password.

As we entered the office, I immeadeatly sought out Dumbledore's portrait, he looked older then last time, if a portrait could age.

"These girls are in here more then Harry was with you Dumbledore." One of the portraits muttered.

"Hey," I snapped at the portrait. "I'm not here because I want to be. I'm here because he" I pointed at Snape, "made me come. I would rather be watching the fireworks. Despite the fact that Evans set them off they were pretty cool."

I rolled my eyes. "Of course they were cool, they were Weasley's"

Dumbledore who know looked completly confused smiled breifly.

"Miss Evans-"

"that would be me." I yawned.

"Miss Evans-" He started again.

"Do you really need to repeat yourself? I think we've all figured out who you are talking to."

Snape glowered at me and I smiled breifly.

"Did you set off the fireworks in Muggle studies."

I rolled my eyes. "Are you seriously that thick? I think we realised that when a) you brought me here and b) when I said "Of course they were cool, they were Weasley's" So now we've settled that can I go back to watching fireworks?"

I frowned at her. "Why the hell did I even have to come here?" I asked.

"Because I said so," Snape snapped. "Now sit down and be quiet."

I grumbled quietly to myself as I sat in one of the chairs in the office. To be more specific, I sat in Snape's chair, looking at them over the desk, still frowning.

I looked at Dumbledore again then at Malfoy, who looking completly indifferent.

"You know, I think I prefer Umbridge as Headmistress then you Snape." I said calmly.

I went flying back into the wall as if I had been punched. The air was blown out of me as I had been "punched" in the stomache. It come again this time on my cheek wacking my head back against the wood. I winced and rubbed my head gingerly. The spell came again this time hitting my neck. I coughed, my breathing turning ragid. My hand flew to my other cheek as it felt like a knife had been swipped across it. Blood fell onto my robes.

I leaned back in Snape's chair as I watched what was happening. My heart hurt somewhat, but not enough to make an outward appearance. I frowned at the sights, but that's as much.

I looked over at Snape, wondering why he made me come here if that's all he was going to do.

"You know." I said. "I don't see why you need a wand to do that. You can get quite a good punch with your fist."

I smiled at Malfoy. "Malfoy is sporting quite a good bruise where I punched her yesterday."

Dumbledore gazed quizicly at me then at Malfoy, the other headmasters and mistresses were too.

Malfoy and I both left his office about ten minutes. I was abit worse for wear, limping, and no doubt bruised just about everywhere. I had a few cuts on my face and my arms where I had tried to sheild my face. Now I had another person to add to my list when I cursed people, Malfoy, annoying git.

I Looked at my timetable and swore. Transfig, that just made my day.

I frowned more as we walked to Transfig. I was still trying to figure out what Snape was up, by making me be in there.

I shook my head to myself as I walked in and sat down in the seat I had last time.

I winced and continued limping, I managed to get into the class room without Mcgonaggle seeing me, a few of my classmates were staring openmouthed.

"Miss Malfoy, Miss Evans care to explain why you are late?" She asked not turning around from the board.

"We had a run in with the Headmaster." I spat. "And some fireworks." I smiled breifly at the last bit.

At the mention of the word Headmaster Mcgonaggle spun around. Her eyes sought Malfoy and noticed she was perfectly alright then turned to me.

"Miss Evans! Are you alright?!"

"Miss Evans, what on earth happened to you for you to end up in that bad of shape?" McGonagall demanded. "You should go to the infirmary and get looked over!"

"She's not allowed. Professors Snape's orders. To learn her lesson he said," I interupted.

I made a face at Malfoy. "Most people don't like tell tales you know Malfoy." I spat.

"Girls." Professor McGonagall snapped. "I will not have my classroom turned into a shoutmatch."

"Again." I muttered under my breath.

"She can't go around the school in that state." Professor McGonagall said.

I smiled slightly. "Oh but it was worth it, setting of Weasley fireworks in Muggle Studies, livened the class up a bit."

I shook my head at both of them, chuckling a little bit.

"And just what's so funny Miss Malfoy?"

"Nothing. You're just acting ridiculous."

"Who me? Or professor McGonagall?" I asked smiling.

The days passed quickly, I didn't leave a chance to cause mayem if I could help it. I was worse for wear. Bruised just about everything and cuts too.

Holdiays couldn't come soon enough and I was happy when we only had a week till them. I wondered what my parent's would say when they saw me like this, probably wouldn't let me come back, but I wasn't going to stay at school for the holidays, not with Snape and the Carrows.

I woke up on the monday of the last week and winced as I rolled onto a few bruises.

Days came and went and it got closer to Christmas holidays. This year was different than the others. Normally Lucius requested I stay at the school, and I was happy to comply. This year though they wanted me home and that was unusual. I wasn't looking forwards to that.

In classes Evans was still causing problems. Most people would have learned, but not her. She was a stubborn Gryffindor to the end. That made me roll my eyes. My 'housemates' had started ignoring me after a while. Not that I minded.

I woke on the last Monday before holidays, frowning before I even opened my eyes.

Professor McGonagall got used to seeing me every class with a few more cuts or bruises, but I could scense her concern or worry. I was stubburn but I wasn't going to let those Death Eaters get the best of me.

I yawned and got out of bed, I pulled on my robes wincing slightly as they brushed over tender parts. Snape still wouldn't let me go to the Hospital wing the git. I seemed to be a walking billboard that flashed. "If you get on the wrong side of the Carrows and Snape this is what happens."

I brushed my hair quickly and limped down to breakfast, well it was more of a funny hop, as both legs hurt as much as the other.

I watched indifferently as Evans got ready, wincing and flinching. If she would just stop it wouldn't be that way. I waited until she had left before getting ready myself.

As I walked in the Great Hall for breakfast, I looked over the tables. I was one of the few non-Slytherins completely fine. I walked over to Draco's group of friends and sat down as I had been for the last few months.
