Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

"It's 10," Draco walked up from where ever he had disappeared to.

I nodded to him. "Suppose it's time to go then?"

He shrugged. I frowned.

I yawned again listening to the feet walking towards the room.

Lyss entered.

Your late." Voldemort said.

I rolled my eyes by waht? Ten seconds.

"Malfoys are never late. Everyone else is simply early," I responded with a smirk.

I walked in and sat down in the chair across from him, folding hands across my lap.

"I do believe we have something to talk about."

I smiled. Good old Lyss.

"We do. Well?"

I yawned again.

I sighed and took a deep breath to calm my nerves, since they had just jumped into overdrive or something all of a sudden, my mind running through everything that could go wrong.

"Ok," I said finally.

"Good."

I sighed this was extreamly boring.

"If you guys have done talking, I want to get some sleep." I muttred

"Well to be honest," I said, "I could use some sleep too."

Just to strenghthen that claim I yawned.

"We're done here. My anwer has been given."

Voldemort left and so did the Death Eaters except Lyssa's parents. I wondered where Draco was, I hadnt seen him since before the war.

I yawned again.

"Now what?"

"Now," I said, "I'm going to my room and sleeping."

Then with a slight smile I stood up and walked out of the room and up the stairs to my room.

And, near as soon as I hit my pillow, I was asleep.

The rest of the Malfoys walked out after Lyss.

"Ok, leave me here, I dont mind." I muttered to myself.

I soon fell alseep waking up with a really sore neck.

After sleeping, I felt much better, and way more alert. I sat up stretched, remembering...My eyes went wide and then I felt bad. I got up, ignoring the wrinkled state of my clothes and went to the room where Cassie was. As I walked in I noticed she didn't look happy. "Sorry," I said upon entering. "I was just really really tired...and you being stuck in the chair slipped my mind...."

(for a version where Lyssa doesn't undo Cassie from the chair and just goes back to being evil see Cassie and Lyssa Alternate Ending 3)

I shrugged. "I'll live. but seriously these chairs are not good to sit in for long lengths of time."

"Which is why we never use this room," I said back.

I flicked my wand at the chair, releasing her from it.

"Better?" I asked.

"Yea thanks." I said rubbing my arms.

"I always liked your house..."I muttered looking around the room.

"But disliked it at the same time."

I smiled a bit. "I never liked it. Too big is my reason though. I'd imagine yours is different."

I sat in another chair and rested my head on my hands, sighing.

"I hate this."

I smiled. "The house has a air that says. "Hey look this house is awesome." To it"

I sighed. "I do too. I cant believe Harry died."

I started crying again.

"Yeah there's that. And everything else too."

I sighed and fought back some tears. I couldn't cry if I was going to be convincing, especially if anyone decided to walk in right now.

"More than that though," I muttered. "I kinda hate myself for all I've done. To myself and to people I care about."

"Least you didn't get Harry Potter killed." I muttered under my breath.

I was still upset about that, I needed to learn to look after myself.

"And if I ever get out of this, Im going to need my thrird wand."

"You didn't either. His own sense did. He took it on himself to protect people from Voldemort, and that's what he died doing. He died following his beliefs. So don’t even go there," I snapped.

"Also, there are no if's. We're both getting out of this, no matter what. Got that?"

My own pessimism seemed forgotten as I said all of this.

"No need to bite my head off." I muttered.

I sighed and looked around the room for the millionth time.

"I miss mymum."

"Sorry," I said rather quickly. "I'm just overly frustrated and pissed off and I don't know anymore."

Then I sighed.

"We're 17. We shouldn't be doing this. We should be worried about our NEWTs and finishing school."

Cassie mentioned her mum.

"Do you want to write her and your family a letter?" I asked. "Persephone's up in my room."

I nodded. I missed my mum the most out of all my family members, probably because she could relate to me the most, as she was a witch. I wondered if she had been at the battle of Hogwarts. I doubted it, she wasn't the fighting type. We walked to Lyssa's room and I got out some parchment and quills. I wrote a quick letter saying I missed her and if things go well I should be home soon. I signed the letter and sent it off with the owl.

"Ok, um…" I said as Persephone became a speck, "we should get back downstairs before anyone notices you're missing. That wouldn't go over well."


So we walked back downstairs and into the room. As we walked I noticed the house seemed oddly deserted. It was abnormal after so many weeks of people coming in and out and such.

I nodded and we walked down stairs in silence. The house was quiet but I thought nothing of it.

My stomache rumbled and I realised I hadn't eaten since early yesterday.

"Any chance of food?"

"Erm…I have no clue actually…" I muttered. "But I can go find out, though you had best stay here, just in case someone comes by. If someone does and they ask why you aren't stuck in the chair anymore, just tell them to talk to me about it."

Then I walked out of the room, on my way to the kitchen.
