Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

I nodded and sat back on the chair.

I hoped no-one would come.

Thankfully no-one came and soon Lyss was back.

"I have food," I said walking in.

Behind me a couple of house elves had a tray of food each.

They set them on the table in the middle of the room and left without a word. I frowned after them. "They wouldn't let me do it myself," I pouted.

I sighed and looked at the elves. "They never do." I said back grabbing some food.

I took a bite and turned to the elves. "It's very nice, Thankyou."

I continued eating.

I frowned but started eating as well.

After we finished eating, more house elves showed up to take away the dirty dishes and trays.

"I still want to know how they know when to show up…" I muttered after they had gone away.

I shurgged. "Magic."

"Now what?"

I sighed bored.

"I have no clue what now," I said, sighing. "There's not much to do when one is being kept 'hostage'" I stopped to make the air quotes. "I wonder what's going on back at the school…"

I frowned.

"We can play exploding snap and when asked say that you would...umm...idk blow up the house if I said no?" I grinned.

I shrugged. "I don't know either, maybe fixing it up...mourning bodies...stuff."

I sighed.

"Yeah. Hopefully no one's mauled Draco or anything. He was being rather annoying when I left." I rolled my eyes at that.

"Oh, and I don't have any Exploding Snap cards…all I have is a chessboard…"

I grinned. "I love chess, except when the pieces tell me im a idiot but meh."

I shrugged. "But I suck so its in their right."

"Yea...I hope the Weasleys are doing alright."

"Yeah…" I muttered, looking around me for no reason.

"So chess then?" I asked, hoping for a distraction.

I ran my hand through my hair, pulling free a few knots I hadn't realized were there.

I smiled.

"Sure."

Chess was fun, even if I sucked.

I nodded and went to get my chessboard, and while in my room brushed my hair, making a face at my appearance in my mirror.

Then I walked back down, still wondering where everyone was. Even my parents were nowhere to be seen.

Lyssa came back down and we set up the board.

"The horse like one to what ever that square is." I said pointing to a square.

"I am not a horse like one." The Knight said indignetly.

"Whatever."

I rolled my eyes at Cassie arguing with her chess pieces. It was amusing to say the least.

My head turned to look out of the room as the door to the house opened and closed. My mum and dad had just come in.

"Just move." I said.

The knight moved to where I had said.

I looked up and saw Lucius and Nacissa. Busted.

"What is she doing?" Lucius asked.

"Playing chess," I said, in a voice that said even he should be able to figure that out. "Why?"

Lyssa moved one of her peices and I started aregueing with my horse like thing. It thought I should move it left, but I wanted to move it right.

"Just move or you'll be first to go." I threatened.

The peice grugiling moved. I looked up at Lucius and Nacissa.

"The Dark Lord won't be pleased that you've untied her."

"Oh well," I said. "He can live with it."

"Don't think after your betrayal of our side that you can just get back what you had with one word."

"What betrayal?" I asked. "I was hurt and the other side cared for me momentarily is all. If they hadn't I would be dead. Do you really want that?"

Giving up on the knight I moved a pawn which yelled at me for moving it where it could leave the king in danger.

"Stupid pawn."

I regestered back into the end of what Lyssa said, confused but dicded to play along with it, I bowed.

"which is why we're the good side."

Lucius made a face at me, but walked away.

I smirked after him. He hadn't won an argument against me in years. Narcissa followed him.

I turned to Cassie. "Sorry about that."

I shrugged. "It's ok, I expected it." I smiled. "I am in enemy land."

I looked back down at my pawn. "Didnt I tell you to move?"

"Yes but-"

"Stupid pawn, Im the person whos telling you what to do, not you. Just move. This is why." I said to Lyss. "I dont get on well with Chess peices.

"Yes, well, at least your not alone in enemy land. That would be worse," I commented.

"Is it all chess pieces? Or do you think it's just Malfoy pieces?" I asked laughing and moving my own piece, which didn't talk back.

"My chess board does the same thing, but then they fight over who mum gets to use, to I just think chess pieces dislike me in general. Muggle chess is so much easier the peices dont complain with everything. Oi you pawn move forward"

"That's unfortunate. I don't like chess, but the pieces like me well enough."

I laughed when her piece argued back again.

"Did I ever tell you the plan or..?"

I scowled at my peice. "If you guys dont shut up and just do what I say, Ill surrender you all got it?"

Is sighed.

"And no you didnt"
