Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

My eyes widened, It seemed as if her mark was burning.

I couldn't say anything which I still found immeansly annoying, or do anything for that matter.

I wanted to hug my freind but couldn't.

After a moment or so the burning feeling stopped.

I sat in my chair, shaking.

"Next time, don't think I'll be so lenient," Voldemort remarked, leaving.

As soon as he was gone I started crying. Even though it wasn't burning, my arm still hurt in a sort of aftermath.

I still wanted to hug my freind, to put a arm around her and say it was alright,

but I couldn't.

I sighed.

After a time I stopped and looked up at Cassie, who was looking very annoyed at her predicament.

I got my wand and did the counter for what Voldemort did, not caring if he got mad again.

"Thanks." I muttered and walked over and hugged her.

"It will be ok, you'll see."

I wished I believed in myself as much as It sounded like I did.

"It'll never end. Even when Voldemort," I spat out the name, "is dead. Anyone who he's decided to brand as his follower is going to have a hell of a time after this war ends. Even if they didn't want it."

I frowned and cast my eyes down sadly.

I sighed. "It will one day, maybe not soon. But one day, one day it will alright."

I smiled weakly.

When was this war going to end?

"Yeah, but how far from now?" I asked.

"Cassie, I can't take this too much longer. It's all driving me mad. I just want everything to be over. The war, the hatred, everything."

"I know, I know." I soothed. "Everyone does, well maybe except Voldemort but..." I sighed.

"We need to get out of this house. Somehow."

"We could...." I faltered. The only sure way out was the door. It was the only way to get out undetected, but it was surely guarded. "If we don't want them to know we left right away, we have to use the door, but it's likely guarded, so..."

I ran my hand through my hair.

I made a face.

"We could change into our metamorphaguses and try that what?" I suggested wondering if it would work.

It might.

"Yeah, but if it was some of the people in the room that night, they might recognize yours," I said, grimacing at the memory.

"You know what. Let's just go and if need be we can stun them before they see us..."

"That plan would be so much better if I had a wand." I said noting the flaw in her plan.

I yawned again.

"Damn..." I muttered. "That is a problem, but I may have a solution. Be right back."

And then I sprinted from the room, grinning to myself.

That bunch of idiots had showed me where they put the stolen wands way back when I was here before.

I nodded and Soon Lyss was back, She had two wands in her hand. They were both mine, the one I had had since first year and the one Ollivander had made me at Shells cottage.

"Ok, lets go."

I nodded and led the way to the door.

I opened it and looked out.

"It seems ok..." I muttered.

(Little did she know that Voldemort was coming down the stairs....)

I nodded and we both quietly walked out.

Wands raised. We both stupified the unknowing Death Eaters.

A voice laughed, coldly. "So you thought you could escape?"

We whirled around to the voice, coming from the entrance of the house and my eyes went wide, because it was Voldemort standing there.

I swore under my breath.

Oh...ah...crap.

I froze.

Now what?

I froze in place, eyes still wide.

"Melyssa," he said raising his wand, "what did I tell you would happen if you refused to join my side and stay on it?"

Then he pointed it at Cassie.

My eyes widened and I couldn't move in shock, I'd never really thought about dying before, sure I had known it was a possibility but never thought I would die in war. I thought I would die old and happy.

The door opened and Snape walked in. He looked from Voldemort's wand to me standing there petrified.

"Don't you dare," I said, voice quivering slightly.

There was no way I could make a move to stop him before he got to her first.

I looked as I heard a door open and saw Snape.

"Just in time Severus." Voldemort leered.

"My Lord-" Snape started to say but Voldemort interurpted.

"What ever you have to say can wait, Serverus."

"But My Lord-"

"Can wait"

I looked between the two, wondering if now would be a good time to do something.

Slowly, I raised my wand and cast a spell at Voldemort while he was busy.

He turned to me and stopped it, then turned to Cassie raising his wand to kill her.

I still couldn't move too petrified to do anything but stare. I didn't want to die, I was only 17,just of age.

I couldn't hear anything but I saw Voldemort's mouth move.

I wasn't dead, But I falling to the ground very hardly.
