Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

I worked quickly and effiently.

After fixing 5 people I got more instructions from Madam Pomfree.

I started to work on that.

After I was finished with all I could do, I leaned up against one of the walls and surveyed the damage in the hall alone. I didn't even want to think about what the rest of the castle looked like.

With a sigh, I slid down the wall until I was sitting.

I finished who I was working on and sat down next to Lyss.

"You ok?" I asked her.

I yawned tired.

"Not really," I muttered.

"I'm tired, but...." I gestured around the hall.

"There's just so much that needs to be done."

"I'm sure they can do it without us." I said standing up and pulling her to her feet.

"Lets just get us a few hours rest then we can help."

I yawned again.

"Fine," I muttered, getting up.

"Doesn't mean I'm going to like it though. It won't feel right."

I yawned. "But maybe it's good idea..."

I smiled. "Come on."

We left the hall and went up to our dorm.

"Hey my stuff is still here."

"Mine's not. It's still at the Manor," I said.

I flopped down on my bed, yawning again.

"Malfoys do not flop" I muttered sarcastically under my breath. "We so do."

I snickered. "You should write a book. Things Malfoys do that they pretend not to.

I laughed getting onto the bed.

"it's been a long year."

"Well actually, most Malfoys and those related to us don't flop. Me and Draco are really the only ones that do...And slouching..." I said making a face.

I yawned again, closing my eyes.

I snickered again. "Well theres a first for everything."

Smiling I rolled onto my side.

I yawned.

I fell into a fitful sleep, tossing and turning.

Then suddenly I woke up with a sharp cry of "No!"

I felt tears on my face, and quickly swiped at them.

I slept soundly untill a cry woke me up.

"Lyssa." I muttered sleepily. "Are you alright?"

Though I could tell she wasnt.

"No I'm not bloody alright," I muttered, voice shaky.

I sat up, still wiping away my tears.

"Stupid bloody bastard," I muttered to myself. "Even when he's dead..."

"It's ok." I soothed.

"He's gone."

I felt like a parent telling a child.

"I know he's gone, but that won't erase all that's happened," I said, trying not to snap at her. It wasn't her fault.

"And you don't even have a clue what I just had a nightmare about anyways."

I sighed this reminded me of before I came to Hogwarts with Lizzy, I would say soemthing and she would snap back saying I didnt know what was up.

"But it's not that hard to figure out."

"Really then? So what was it?" I asked, trying not to get angry.

I pulled my legs up and rested my chin on them.

"You know...I just had a nightmare of what happened earlier, only this time Snape wasn't there. Can you guess what happened then?"

I sighed. It was going to take a long time for all of us to get over this year. The war, everything.

"But he was there." I consoled.

"I know its going to take time to put this behind us, but dwelling on the could haves and the what ifs won't help."

"I can't stop myself from having a nightmare. The mind's defenses are weakest when one's asleep," I said. "I want to put it all behind me, but my mind refuses."

I sighed. When is this going to end?

"I know you cant. No-one can."

I sighed and rolled over so I was facing her.

"But I suppose it needs to get worse before it can get better."

"Yeah," I said leaning back on the head of the bed.

I sighed to myself.

"Well there's no way I'm going to be able to get back to sleep without some sort of potion making me, so I may as well get up and do some productive."

"Ok." I yawned turning again. "Have fun."

I was soon asleep again I kenw I should go help but i was too tired to do anything but sleep.

I woke up again in a few hours.

I frowned at her, but shook my head as I left.

I walked back down to the Great Hall, nearly running into Professor McGonagall as I did.

"I thought you were resting," she said.

"I was, but...." I trailed off, finishing quietly.

McGonagall nodded at me. "Are you up to helping clean up the grounds. You look like you could use some fresh air."

I gave her a shrug, but started to walk outside anyways.

I yawned getting out of bed. I hadn't slept in a proper bed since the last time I had been at Hogwarts. When staying at Shell Cottage I slept on a couch.

I walked downstairs, it was dark now. Time was going strangly. Like I had jet lag. Sleeping in the day and awake at night.
