Cassie & Lyssa (Year 7. Completed)

My sad mood suddenly evaporating. I seriously wanted to punch her in the face.

"Over reacting? I was seeing if you were ok?" I spat, I had to stop myself from pulling out my wand. "Who the hell says that Defence against the dark arts class is interesting and informatic when a) you cruico'd your former best freind and b) it's more of a dark arts class then a defence?" I tear fell down my cheek.

I smirked at her.

"Go ahead," I said, "I know you want to pull your wand out. So do it. Or can't you? Scared or something?"

I grimaced in my mind. That may have taken it a little too far...

Now she is seriously asking for it. I walked over to where Lyss was standing next to Draco who had a look on his face that plainly showed he was utterly confused.

"I could pull my wand out." I sneered. "Or I could save my self the trouble."

I punched her in the face.

I felt my head get whipped to the side when she punched me. I turned back to look at her, cheek stinging and throbbing. "What the hell? So you're resorting to Muggle fighting? You can't even hex me properly can you? You are horrible at being angry and everything else. Is there anything you can do properly?"

"Yes I can do soemthing properly, I can stand up for what I believe in, i'm not going to bow down to some stupid guy who doesn't even have a bloody nose! I'm a Gryffindor and I'm going to stay that way, and yes im resorting to muggle fighting." I seriously wanted to punch her again. "Not everything has to be waving wands and pretty lights you know." I was fumming.

"Right. Well hitting me is going to get you nowhere," I muttered, rubbing the aching spot. "Except maybe closer to having a broken nose."

I frowned. I really didn't want to use a Muggle way, but if I was forced to...

I smirked. "But of course you won't hit me back. Because it's too unbefitting for a Malfoy to do anything Muggle's do." I taunted her. Sure I was asking for it, but I didn't care right now.

"Girls." Professor Mcgonaggle said.

"What?!" I snapped at her.

"Come with me." She turned on her heel and walked out of the classroom. We had no choice but to follow her.

"You're damn lucky it is too," I hissed at her as we followed McGonagall.

We walked into her office and she turned to us.

"Would either of you care to explain yourselves? This is utterly ridiculous behavior. You've been friends for 7 years."

I scowled. "Yea and she was a awesome Gryffindor for six years, she's acting like bloody Draco, one of him is bad enough we do not need two."

I invited myself to sit down on a chair.

I merely scowled and crossed my arms.

"Please explain Miss Evans, as it seems Miss Malfoy has nothing to say at the moment."

I scowled more.

I sighed. "Well we had Dark Arts second period this morning." I said. "And the stupid Carrow was going to get us to perform the crucatus curse." I sighed. "She's acting like a Slytherin."

"How so?"

"She found cruioing her former best freind interesting and informatic, she's stopped standing up for what's right and is going with what the bloody Death Eaters are doing."

"I am not going with what those damn Death Eaters are doing," I protested. "You really should stop saying things like that. What have I even done to support that?"

I glared at her.

"What about in Dark Arts? What about in the common room where you payed me no mind at all, not even wondering if I was alright? It kills me seeing you have to do that to me, but you act as if you don't give a rat. But of course you don't, you're a Malfoy why would you care for someone else who isnt you?"

"I was a bit dstracted don't you think?" I replied. "I mean considering what I had just done. It's not exactly good for one's mentalilty. Especially not when that person happened to be their best friend!"

"Girls!" McGonagall cried. "I didn't bring you in here to fight more!"

Professor Mcgonaggle told us off, told us not to shout like that in pulic again and took ten points each off us. I scowled as I left her office and made my way up to lunch on my own. Lyssa went and sat at the Slytherin table with Draco. I suppose that was what was going to happen untill Lyss snapped out of Malfoy mode. I wan't hungry, not even to pick at chips. Why hadn't I jusst gone up to the common room and skipped lunch and the rest of the day while I was at it. Actually that wasn't a bad idea. I left the table and walked up to the common room. I lay down on my bed and sighed. I wondered how long this Malfoy Lyss was going to last. I missed my best freind, even if she had just said I couldn't do anything.

I sat with Draco at lunch and as I expected he asked me a dozen questions as soon as I had started eating. I answered him back in snappish tones, seeing as a) I was hungry, and b) I didn't really want to talk about it. When lunch was finally over I walked to the common room and flopped down on a couch, as much as Malfoys aren't supposed to flop. I was exhausted from McGonagall and Cassie and everything.

I heard the bell ring and ignored it. I just lay on my bed for the last periods of the day, I was exhuasted. Come dinner I wasn't hungry either I sat up on my bed and heard a tapping on the window. I brown owl was there pecking at it. It had a bix of something in it's feet. I let the owl in and took the box opening the letter.

I smiled to myself. Perfect. Stuff Malfoy, she was no longer apart of the plan if she wanted to go all Malfoyish fine, she can, I'll just contiue wrecking mahem on my own. I stashed the box under my bed and quickly wrote a thank you note giviing it to the owl. I hummed to myself as I straightened out my robes and left the dorm.

The rest of the day was solemn and boring.

I was mostly just spacey, but at the same time not.

And no matter what I did...something felt off.

I got down to the great hall in a surprisingly more cheerful mood then you would expect if you just had a shouting match with your best friend.

I noticed Pavati and Lavender whispering but payed them no mind.

Neville sat next to me.

"What's up with you and Lyss that is defeinetly not pretending."

I shruged. "We had a fight"

"That was more then a fight."

Ginny passed behind us then, she was going to sit with freinds. "Cassie." She said. "Even if you were agueing, did you really need to bring up her..thing in front of a room full of people. It's got the school talking."

I groaned. Neville and Ginny were out to ruin my good mood. "She bloody asked for it." I muttered.

"Yea, well I dont know if that was a good thing to drop, I don't think she'll forigve you now."

I scowled and stood up. "Yea well I don't think i'll forgive her either." I scowled again and left the hall.

I walked to dinner slowly. I was still mentally exhausted from earlier.

As I walked in there was a definite raise in the noise level, and I could only assume that the rumor was spread and they were talking about the fight and the things it included. With a frown I sat down by Draco.

I flopped down on my bed and looked at my time table. I had Muggle Studies first thing tomorrow morning. Perfect. I would let the fireworks off then. I only hoped that Malfoy wouldn't tell on me, she wouldn't, would she?

I feel alseep quickly and woke the next morning with the sun seeping through the curtains.

After dinner I went back to the common room, and I was going to go to sleep early. I walked up the stairs to the girls' dorm, noting that Evans was already in there, sleeping. I walked to my own bed and laid there, not falling asleep fast.

The next morning was sunny. I frowned.

I yawned and got out of bed gathering my stuff for my classes. I put the fireworks in my bag then got dressed, I winced as I knocked my bruise from yesterday but other then that I was fine. I slung my bag over my back and left the room without a look at Malfoy.

I got up and dressed, paying no mind to anyone but myself. As soon as that was done I walked down the staircases to breakfast, always internally wondering why Gryffindor tower was cursed with being so damn far away from the Great Hall.

I nibbled on toast at breakfast to anxious about my first class.

This was something that would work better with two people, but I could pull it off with one.

I jumped when the bell rang and walked towards Muggle studies.
