New RP 1 (Expelled) (yes, fail title, but it makes it obvious)

"You're sorry? Oh jesus christ." Cassie replied flickiing her head to get her hair out of her face. "You do that all of the time Lyss, say your sorry and then do something to fuel the fire and blow everything up."

Lyssa turned around, since she'd been walking off. "I don't even remember what I did this time," she said, tucking her bangs back.

"That's not an excuse," Cassie snapped back. "Because you meant it when you did it. That's twice, in a year and I'm sick of getting hurt."

"I know it's not an excuse, and I know I probably did mean them then, but that doesn't mean I'm not sorry. I'm sick of hurting you," Lyssa said. "Maybe....maybe things would be better if we'd never met."

"Maybe you're right," Cassie said before turning to walk off. "Evans," This time it was Draco. "What do you want?" Cassie asked him. "You can't just walk off," "Watch me," Cassie said dangerously. "Look as much s I hate you-" "Aw thanks, I'm flattered," He ignored her. "You've been crappy since you fought with Lyssa and now Lyssa's crappy why don't you just become freinds again?" "It doesn't really work that way."

"Draco just leave her alone," Lyssa said, frowning. "She's right. It doesn't work that way." Then she shrugged, trying to play it off like she didn't care.

"Ugh," Cassie wanted to wack her head into the wall in frustration. "I miss you," She said. "I really do but I don't know if it's worth it if I just end up getting hurt again." "You're not being a very good best freind." Draco noted. Cassie raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm not be a very good best freind? Which planet have you been living on?"

Lyssa sighed as her frown deepened more. "It's fine, Cassie. Really it is. We don't ever have to be friends again. I'm know I've screwed up multiple times and I'm not going to try and change your mind," she said. "C'mon Draco, we shouldn't be late to class."

Draco didnt move though and Cassie wanted to wack her head into the wall again. "You're Gryffindors you're meant to stick together." "Er Malfoy-" "She's meant to be in Gryffindor, it's the house the hat put her in." "Jesus you're the one acting like a Gryffindor now."

"Draco," Lyssa said, voice going soft, "please just stop. It's over." Lyssa really just wanted to get out of there, because as much as she almost wished it weren't, this was hurting her. More than she thought was possible. And then she wondered if this was how Cassie felt.

Draco still wouldn't move and Cassie facepalmed. "Figures," She muttered. "When the Gryffindors stop fighting the Slytherin decides he wants to play." She rolled her eyes though smile slightly. "I respect your concern Malfoy but while Lyss hasn't got a clue what happened. I do. I can't forget it lke that." Cassie turned to walk off again.

"'You could if someone used a Memory Charm on you," Draco said at Cassie's retreating back. Lyssa looked at him. "Draco! That's ridiculous."

"What's the point of that Malfoy?" Cassie asked turning about once more. "And anyway if Lyssa keeps acting like she is now she's going to get pulled out again. That's what started the problem in the first place, Lyssa pretending to act like a Malfoy so she could stay but insted it all blew up."

"I'm not going anywhere," Lyssa said, scowling. "I would rather die than leave here, even if...even if you hate me. I would be miserable anywhere else. That's probably the reason behind whatever it is I did in the first place." Then with a frown and a sad shrug, she turned away from Draco and Cassie and started her way down the nearest set of stairs, which was the opposite direction to the class she was meant to be going to. Just before she was out of earshot, Lyssa turned back for a moment. "I imagine that this is how you've been feeling, Cassie. I probably deserve to feel like this now, even if I'm not entirely sure why."

Cassie didnt say anything, she just glanced at her feet and when she looked back up both Lyssa and Draco were gone. Her next class wasn't with the Slytherins so the girl trailed through the school until she got to it.

Lyssa kept walking down sets of stairs until she reached the ground floor, and then she headed out the front doors of the school. She didnt' stop walking until she was a fair distance away. Then she stopped, breathing heavily, as she noticed her walk had developed to nearly a run at some point. She also noticed that she'd made it all the way to the edge of the forest. Fuck, she thought, my life is messed up. Then she ran her hand through her hair and sighed.

Cassie payed no attension to anything in the next class not even bothering to try and work on her work.

The next day Cassie pulled the locket out of her bedside table draw where she had stashed it and kept it in her palm. At breakfast she made a detour to the Slytherin table and ignoring the looks she was getting from the Slytherins put the locket down next to Lyssa's plate. "THought you might want it." Cassie said with a shrug turning to go.

Lyssa was picking at her food, when she saw her locket set down next to her plate. She picked it up, rubbing her thumb over it. "Thanks for the thought," she said, looking at Cassie's retreating back. "But I don't know what good a friendship locket is when there's apparently no friendship anymore." Regardless, she ran her thumb over it again, the finger resting on the button that one would push to open it. She put pressure on the button and the locket fell open in her palm. Lyssa looked at the contents for a moment, before snapping it shut again and placing it in her pocket, having noticed the clasp was broken.

"Just give it time," Cassie said stopping suddenly to look at Lyssa. "I'm sorry that Im annoyed at you for somehting you can't remember but I just need time to calm down slightly then we can see how that goes."

Lyssa bit her lip. "Don't apologize," she said. "From what I've gathered I was dreadful, so I think that means I deserve for you to be annoyed or whatever it is you are." Lyssa looked down at the table. "I'm just afraid of what's going to happen when I remember again, because I don't want to go back to how I was."

A week or so passed and the two girls started to slowly talk to eachother even if it was just a hi as they passed in the halls.

Although one day, during class, Lyssa got called out to go to the Headmaster's office. She walked in and saw that Lucius was there. "What do you want?" she asked, a frown on her face. "You're coming back to the Manor until your memory comes back." Lyssa shook her head at him. "No, I'm not," she said, turning and walking out of the office.

(and I imagine Lucius would follow her....so yeah....)

"Melyssa," Lucius said coldly walking out of the office after her. "You only came back here because I allowed it and if you don't come back now until your memory comes back I will reenroll you permenently."

Lyssa stopped and turned around, glaring at Lucius. "I came back because Professor Snape allowed me to," she said, tone containing some harshness due to her annoyance at Lucius. "Now, if you don't mind, I would like to get back to class and out of your presence."

Cassie had been on her way to her next class, though she was already ten minutes late she didn't bother to hurry her pace up. She glanced up heaing voices and aw Lucius, Lyssa and Snape standing there. "Melyssa-" Lucius started again but Cassie cut across him with a small smile on her face. "You'd think you'd releaise after seven or so years that you daughter doesn't in fact respond to that name."
