Cassie and Lyssa Year Six.

Lyssa hugged Cassie back, and fought the need to start crying.

"And what are you two doing?" Cassie frowned as she heard Snape's voice and readjusted her arms so she was facing him and still half hugging Lyssa. "I," She said in a dark tone. "Am playing my role as best freind and I suggest that you go and leave me to it."

Lyssa looked at Snape, eyes teary. "Really, professor," she said. "Now is not the best time..."

"I would advise you both to get to class." He said in a dangerously calm voice. "And I'd advise you to butt the hell out." Cassie replied in the same dangerous tone. She was not one to cross when she was protecting or comfortating her freinds.

Lyssa looked at Snape, hoping maybe, but doubtfully, that the tears in her eyes would softened him up a little. "Professor Snape, just this once, can't you have a little heart?"

"If you two don't get to class you will both find yourselves with another nights detension." He said.

"Professor," Lyssa said, "honestly." She wiped a hand over her eyes as a tear finally leaked past her eyelid and down her cheek.

"What is the Problem?" He asked them.

"Draco," Lyssa said, knowing that Snape would get it, since he already knew about it.

"Why did you tell her?" Snape asked giving Cassie a swift look.

Lyssa frowned for a moment. "Because," she said,"she's my best friend. And I had to tell someone, or I was going to explode."

"You were instructed not to tell anybody." Cassie frowned looking at Snape, she wondered for a moment how Snape knew if no-one was supposed to be told, her eyes widened slightly as it clicked.

"I'm well aware of that fact," Lyssa muttered, "but weren't you listening to a thing I just said. I had to. It was driving me insane. And besides, she isn't going to tell anyone." She looked over at Cassie. "Right?"

"Right," Cassie said. Snape raised an eyebrow at her disbelieving, most probably thinking about her loyalty to the Order's side which Cassie thought was going to tug on her loyalties to Lyssa. She inwardly frowned at it.

"Anyway," Lyssa said to break a silence that had descended, "you have a class to be teaching, professor. One, which neither Cassie or I will be in today."

"Yes you both will be unless you want another detension added, your family problems will not interupt my classroom."

"Problems? This classififes as more than a problem, professor. It's a freaking crisis," Lyssa said, wanting so much to swear at the adult, but knew it would only land her in trouble.

"You have both earned yourself another nights detension which will occur before your personal detension Miss. malfoy." And with that he turned around and walked off to his classroom.

Lyssa looked after him, eyes wide just a little. Then she leaned back on the wall nearest to her, pinching the bridge of her nose between her fingers. "I don't have time for another detention," she complained. "I already have enough to do as it is..."

Cassie frowned as Snape disapeared around the corner. "I can't believe him," She muttered. "Does he have no feelings at all?"

"So it would seem..." Lyssa muttered. "Do you think McGonagall could get us out of it..." She trailed off. "No, because that would mean telling her what's going on, which would only lead to bad things."

Cassie groaned again. "Come on let's go back to the dorm, he's given us a det so I see that as not needed to go."

Lyssa nodded. "I think I'll take a nap..." she muttered with a yawn. "I need it. Wouldn't you agree?"

"I suppose so." Cassie said with a nodd as the girls turned around and proceded back to Gryffindor tower.

Once they got there, Lyssa fell back on the couch. "Too much trouble going to do the dorm," she muttered, yawning for the millionth time that day. Then she sighed. "I honestly should work on homework, so that I can sleep tonight..."
