Cass and Lyss (The Summer between years one and two)

"Erm..." Lyssa muttered.

Cassie smiled. "Well I am, you can sit by the pool if you want." Cassie got up and walked to her room to put on her bathers and grab her towel.

Lyssa just shrugged, and within the next fifteen minutes found herself sitting in a chair that was by the pool, as far from it as she could get.

Cassie stood by the edge of the pool when Lizzie came and stood next to her. Cassie glanced at her suspiciously and Lizzie grinned pushing Cassie in. Cassie fell in making water going everything and resurfaced spluttering. "Oh I am going to kill youi Lizzie," She declared pulling herself out of the pool and grabbed Lizzie by the wrists and pulling the other girl towards the pool. Cassie jumped in bringing her sister behind her and then started swimming as far away from Lizzie as she could get, as the other girl started to chase her.

Lyssa watched as the two sisters interacted, wiping some stray water from their splashing off her leg. As she watched, she almost wished she knew how to swim because it all looked so fun, the splashing and swimming around. She was busy thinking this, when quite suddenly she was splashed with water. And not just stray splash water. Oh no, this water had been aimed at her. She blinked some of the clear liquid from her eyes and looked to see Cassie, close enough to have committed the splashing. "Did you really have to do that?" she asked. "It was cold."

"Yes," Cassie said with a wicked smile. "I did. Argh," She yelled when Lizzie sent a wave of water her way. "Lizzie!" She mock pouted at the other girl and sent another wave back at her. Lizzie then dived at Cassie and the girl swam to the edge and pulled herself off it. "Get in Lyss," Cassie said looking at her freind. "Even if you just stand there." Cassie stood up andjumped back into the pool narrowly missing landing on Lizzie.

Lyssa frowned at the pool. Shaking her head, she didn't move from the chair she was sitting on.

Cassie rolled her eyes as she and Lizzie continued to play in the pool, splashing eachother and doing other random things in the pool.

Lyssa, having gotten bored with watching the splash fight that was going on, closed her eyes for a second, only to get splashed again. "Cassie! Stop splashing me. It's not going to make me get in the pool."

"If you won't get in I might as well have my fun. I don't see your problem, it's only water, it's good for you y'know."

Lyssa opened her moutth, as though to say exactly what her problem with the pool was, but stopped. Then with a sigh she got up and walked to the steps at the shallow end of the pool. She re-sat down on one of them. "There. I'm in the pool."

Cassie smiled amused and shook her head.

A couple hours passed, and soon Cassie and Lizzie were tired from all the splashing and swimming around. Lyssa had never traveled farther than the step she had claimed.

"Gah," Cassie exclaimed flopping down on the edge of the pool.

"Tired?" Lyssa asked as she stood up from her step.

Cassie nodded. "Yep."

"Not surprising," Lyssa commented. "You two were splashing around a lot." With me getting caught with some of it, she thought as she wipe a wet strand of hair from her face.

Cassie shrugged. "It's fun," Scooping her hand into the water Cassie sent a handful of water at Lizzie who was drying herself.

"It looks fun..." Lyssa admitted.

Lizzie poked her tongue out at Cassie and Cassie grinned wickedly at her causing Lizzie to roll her eyes. "Even if now you don't want to you should learn to swim cause when you know it's great fun."

"You're not going to let up on my learning until I actually do it, are you?" Lyssa asked

"no,"

Lyssa sighed. "Tomorrow then. To get you off my case about it."

Cassie smiled.

The rest of the day went by quickly.
