Cassie and Lyssa Year Six.

"No," Cassie said just about lying through her teeth.

"Cassie," Lyssa said, looking over her shoulder at the other Gryffindor. "You suck at lying."

"I'm fine," Cassie said.

"Cassie!" Lyssa said tone sharp, then she softened it. "Stop lying to me, please. I can tell you are not fine. I've known you too long to fall for that."

Cassie shrugged. "You've got Draco to worry about you don't need the addings of my problems."

Lyssa frowned at her. "Cassie, please tell me? I'll worry if you don't and my mind will make up all sorts of unpleasant things."

Cassie sighed looking at the fire crackling. "I," Then she shrugged. "I dunno it's just that you're spending a lot of time around Draco for obvious reasons and I dunno Lizzie says mum and dad are still fighting and just." She mimed and explosion with her hands.

Lyssa frowned more. "I can try to divide my time more evenly," she suggested. "Draco's not keen on me helping him anyway." She shrugged. "And I don't really know what to say about your parents. I'm sorry that I'm part of the reason you're not happy."

Cassie shrugged again looking down at her shoes. She looked up at Lyssa and frowned. "You should be getting to bed earlier," She said noticing the bags under her eyes and feeling like a parent. "Cause falling asleep while doing your work or in class isn't going to help anyone.." She shrugged.

"I'm trying to," Lyssa said, frowning as she yawned. "It's just, I'm trying to fit in classes, and helping Draco, and homework all at once, but there's just not enough time for it all..." She yawned again.

"It'll work out somehow." Cassie said giving Lyssa a breif hug.

Lyssa hugged Cassie back and said, "For you too."

Time passed and blah blah blah soon enough it was the next day, both girls had Defence first and because of some reasons or another they happened to be late. "Why are you late?" Snape asked when they entered. "Because the bell rang before I got here?" Cassie said with a small gleam appearing in her eye.

Snape frowned at Cassie as Lyssa said, "There honestly isn't enough time in the mornings for students to get ready and eat breakfast, because no one wants to get up super early, because they have loads of homework that keeps them up late. I think classes should start at like noon. So don't blame us for being late."

"This class is crap anyway," Cassie added on the end.

Snape frowned at both of the girls. "Take your seats," he said, turning back to the lesson. "Twenty points each and you each have detention tonight at six."

"Fine Mr. I hate everybody," Cassie with and sat down dramaticly into her chair.

Lyssa didn't move. "That's not fair!" she protested. "You can't take 40 total points and give us detention for being late once."

"I-" Snape started but Cassie cut across him. "I can and I will," She said in her best imitation of Snapes voice. She smiled innocently at him. "You need a new catchphraze, you know something catchy and interesting."

Lyssa nodded in agreeance. "I've heard your current one way too many times in the last six years. It's annoying."

"Both of you be quiet and sit down or I will take another twenty points each from Gryffindor."

Lyssa pouted, making her face look like that of a child's and she crossed her arms. "Not that's not fair professor. We're merely trying to make you a better, more likeable person." She was pouting on the outside, but laughing on the inside.

Cassie held back her laughter looking at the look on Snape's face. "Honestly Professor," She said with a devious smile. "We're trying to be helpful, I don't think that warrents a Det." Her eyes twinkled maliciously.

Snape scowled at the two girls. "You're detention time has been doubled, so you not only have it tonight, but tomorrow as well. And you each just lost 20 more points for your house. Now, sit down."

"Aye aye captain," Cassie said with a mock salute and the young Gryffindor sat down in her seat rather amused.
